Learning about Self-Awareness. The fundamental questions of life. Awakening of intelligence.

Here, with you, we are exploring this matter of self-discovery, of this flowering of the Truth about who we are. This naturally requires learning. If you drive, you learned to drive; if you write, you learned to write; speaking is something you learned. A baby learns even as a baby; in the baby’s life, they learn to listen, they learn to look. Notice that in life, we learn everything.

Here, concerning the vision of the Truth about who we are, this also requires learning. Here, the difference is that this learning requires the awakening of something new! So, it is not about knowing this sense of the “I” in its details. But here, it is about understanding that this sense of the “I” is something that thought within us has established as being the truth about who we are. But this is completely illusory!

Thus, the truth of self-awareness—not what psychology, philosophy, or some out there call self-awareness—is used here in a very specific way, in the sense of knowing this “I,” which is the understanding of the illusion of this “I.” When you approach and investigate the nature of the “I,” when you truly approach to investigate—here I am not referring to introspection, self-analysis, or the attempt to adjust your feelings, emotions, or thoughts to a given form of action, a specific mode of behavior, as people generally see this matter of so-called "self-awareness" out there.

Here we are talking about the end of the illusion of this “I.” A direct look at oneself in investigating the nature of the “I,” leaves no “I,” no “me,” no feeling of “being someone,” this sense of “person” dissolves because it is something centered in the model of psychological memory, of psychological thought, of responses that arise now because of the past, of unfinished, unresolved experiences.

So, the sense of the “I,” of the “ego,” of this “me,” of this “person,” is nothing but memory, recollection, experience, thoughts situating the "illusion of a thinker," perception situating the “illusion of a perceiver.” That is the “I,” the “me,” the “person.”

Investigating the nature and structure of the “I” is realizing that there is no such thing as an element present here and now. We only have life! Life as it happens! Because immediately, this science of Being is the end of this illusion of the “I,” in this “becoming,” in this “ceasing to be,” in this “continuing to be.” This is within the structure of thought.

Here, with you, we are investigating various questions. The word question is a problem; that is the meaning. A question is a problem; a problem is something, some situation, or issue unresolved, unsolved. This sense of the “I,” of the “ego,” is exactly that! If I ask, “Who are you?” Any and every description you have of yourself is nothing but a model of thought established in beliefs, evaluations, self-conclusions, memories, recollections. So, this sense of the “I” is an unresolved problem. You cannot exactly tell me who you are when you tell me your name, when you tell me your story; your story is not you, your name is not you. When you point to the body and say “I,” what exactly are you talking about? So, we are faced with a question, a problem. Therefore, the “I,” the “ego,” is a problem. But it is not a simple problem; it is a complex problem that gives rise to various other problems.

Thus, the various questions we call fundamental questions of life... See, life has no questions; there are no problems specifically in life as it is. It is in human thought, in the “idea” of being human, in the model of the “I,” of the “ego,” it is in this model that we find these fundamental questions of life! In reality, they are fundamental questions within the “I,” the “ego.” But since the “I” itself, the “ego” itself, is the greatest of all questions or problems, everything revolves around this “center.”

So, what are we seeing here with you, exploring here with you? We are becoming aware of the reality of life and clearly perceiving that “this life,” where “these questions” are, is the “life of the ego.”

We have put this here in various ways, always with different words, but pointing in the same direction. There is no problem in life! Every problem consists of "my life." Life as it happens is a mysterious occurrence. Something that seems challenging to me because of this “me.” It is the presence of this “I” that makes life as it happens seem problematic. But the problem lies in this “me,” in this “I”! So, we need to have a clear vision of life. This requires the presence of the Awakening of Intelligence, and this intelligence flourishes due to this direct approach, this learning about self-awareness.

Once the truth about self-awareness is present, the idea of an identity in the experience of a particular life carrying problems is discarded.

See how fascinating a real approach to all this is! We spend an entire life... forty, fifty, sixty, ninety years of age, without the slightest awareness of the Reality of Real Life, because we are living in the particular life of the “I.” This condition is the condition of ignorance!

The condition of ignorance places you in a position where you are surrounded by problems and creating more and more problems because all your movement of performance, action, manner, behavior in relation to life provokes more and more problems since these actions are born from the past. And they cannot address the mystery, the beauty, the truth of the moment, of life as it happens here and now. We are always bringing from the past the motives, the reasons, the values, the interpretations of "how life should be, could be, would have to be."

Here with you, we are approaching the awakening of this Divine Intelligence, the awakening of this Spiritual Intelligence, and in it, it becomes clear that life is Beauty, is Grace, is Mystery, is the Indescribable, is the Unnameable, is the Truth of God! As human beings, in this psychological model of existence, in this egocentrism, in this conditioning—why the expression conditioning? We have several videos here on the channel explaining this to you. Because it is the habitual way of maintaining the continuity of memory. This is how thought processes within us.

The truth about thought is that thought is a present memory. And you know that memory sustains itself within continuity when it repeats; the more repetition, the more established this memory becomes. Thought in you works exactly like this. Why is it that you can easily say your name? It doesn’t even take a second, less than a second. I ask: What is your name? And that response comes immediately. But if I ask the name of your great-grandmother, and if you indeed know her name, it takes some time, a longer time, for that memory to arise. So, we have a memory that comes quickly and one that takes a little longer. Observe that memory requires the presence of time. Therefore, memory, which is recollection, is time. And why is it easier for you to remember your name than your grandmother’s or great-grandmother’s name? Because you surely use your name more frequently, repeating it to others than your grandmother’s or great-grandmother’s name. It’s simple! Memory requires repetition! The more the memory repeats, the stronger it becomes. Then it presents itself more easily and quickly. See, all the knowledge we have rests on the practice of memory. The more you practice, the more this memory is present, functional, and efficient. See, it’s very simple! Our “I,” our “ego,” due to repetition, maintains its continuity of memory. This is the presence of this model of psychological time since this memory comes from the past. That is how thought works in each one of us. See, all this is part of a mechanism, which is the mechanism of memory, showing itself within this context of time, which is repetition, which is practice; this is the psychological model of conditioning in which we find ourselves!

This model of thought is what I have called psychological thought. It is what sustains the illusion, the belief of a present identity in the experience. So, what is the experience? The experience is saying the name, but the experience can be thinking about this “I,” this “someone.” See, we are faced with a movement of thought. What will be the truth of Clarity, of Lucidity, of Intelligence, of your Natural State?

The truth of this Real State is the truth of That which is present, but that dispenses with this model of memory that has a name, a story, and a continuity of repetition due to this affirmation of time. When, for example, you say, “I was,” or “I will be,” once again you are bringing memory to this illusory idea of a present identity in time, in this past when you say, “I was,” or, in this future when you say, “I will be.”

Let us calmly understand this here. What is the awakening of this Real Intelligence?

It is the vision of life without the “I.” So, we have a response to this moment, but no longer based on the past. So, what is the truth of this learning? Here, this learning is no longer using this model, this old learning, which before was based on memory, knowledge, experience, on the affirmation of time: “I was,” “I am,” and “I will be.” Here, the truth of what you are in your Divine Nature is the Unknown, it is the Mystery, it is the Reality of Life here and now, without the “I,” without the past, the idea of the present or the future. Are we together?

A contact with this moment is a contact free of the “I,” it is when a response to this moment becomes possible without the past. Perceive the beauty of this! When facing the wife, the husband, or someone known, you have the memory, yes, the memory, the record of the face, the timbre of the voice; you have the simple, natural recollection of that one before you. But you no longer have this psychological memory register of the ego-centered memory, which is “this element in you” that makes you like some people and dislike others. We carry an element present in us of memories, of registers, of the past, which sustains this “ego-identity.” Everything I “went through with you”—you hurt me, upset me, made me angry, left me annoyed. So, internally, when I meet you, I always encounter an enemy. Then there is this separation, a separation sustained by this ego-identity, by this movement, which is the movement of this “me,” this “I,” something that comes from the past. This sense of a model of thought is present here, but it is also present “in him” or “in her.” So, our relationships are relationships established in psychological memory, in the affirmation of an identity, which is the identity of the “I,” the “ego.” That is how our relationships are! So, we are always sustaining within this context of relationship a pattern of relating where some form of conflict, disorder, suffering is present; or desire, attachment, possession, control, which thought also calls love, a psychological condition of lack, dependence. What will be the truth about love?

We do not know it because what we have within this context of relationship are relationships between images, between psychological states of disorder, as are all these states of the “ego.” Can we understand the truth about all this? And break free from it? So that, in fact, in this contact with “him” or “her,” we only have the memory, as was mentioned, of the timbre of the voice, the face, of the “person” who is there before each of us? But without this image that I have “of him” or “of her,” without this psychological image that this “self-image,” which is the “ego,” here, creates “of him” or “of her”? Then we are faced with the beauty of an encounter with the Truth! If the Truth is present, something new arises in this contact. We have the Divine Presence, which is the Presence of Love! Notice the beauty of this approach, of this new way of approaching the other, having as a principle a clear vision of the truth about you.

Thus, when we have the awakening of this intelligence, when there is this realization of the Truth, here and now, this sense of the “I,” of the “ego,” this movement that comes from the past, that maintains this continuity based on thought, it dissolves. Can we live a life free of the “ego,” therefore free of the past, responding to this moment, without this background, without this psychological memory, without this self-image? This is what we are proposing here for you! A Real Life is a life without problems, without these questions; it is a life free of this pattern of time that thought sustains. This type of time is what we have called psychological time here.

Life is this reality that is present now. And in this Life, without the sense of the “I,” of the “ego,” once with this understanding of the truth, of all this movement of the past, it has been undone. What is now here is Life itself! There is no separation between the Reality of God and Life! And, the Truth of Life and you in your True Nature, if this is present, the other is life! The other is God! The other is you! Therefore, there is no such thing as the other! You, in your Divine State, in your Natural State, are living without “this sense of separation”! Then there is Beauty, Truth, Presence, Grace, Intelligence.

You were born to realize this in this life, to assume the reality of what you are! Evidently, this requires the end of the past, the end of this psychological condition of structure. I am referring to this psychological social, cultural, human structure that is based on fear, violence, confusion, disorder. Then we are faced with Life, Real Life, Real Freedom, Real Love!

These meetings we have here on weekends, Saturday and Sunday, are online meetings where we are with you deepening this, where we are with you becoming aware of how to approach this direct vision of self-awareness, of meditation. You have the link to our WhatsApp in the video description to participate in these weekend online meetings. Besides these meetings, we have in-person meetings and also retreats.
