Our way of seeing life is from points of view, ideas, concepts, beliefs, perspectives of thought. This is a programmed way of dealing with experience, with the experience of this instant, with the experience of this moment. So, when you come and ask: "How do I get rid of problems? Is a life free of problems possible?" When you ask this question, comprehend something here: as long as your vision is from a pre-ordained model of thought, you will not be able to deal with Life as it happens.
In general, our way of approaching life is based on this model, this old model of the "I," this old model from the past. Thus, this way is the conditioned way of dealing with situations. There is a psychological conditioning present in each one of us. The way you see life, from a philosophical, spiritual, mystical, religious, political, social, family tradition perspective, all of this is the presence of the model of thought.
So, we have a mind that is stuck in a way of seeing things: that is the conditioned mind, in this mental conditioning, in this psychological conditioning. Thus, the truth about a conditioned mind is the presence of the egoic mind because all this behavior in us, from this particular view of images, symbols, thoughts, ideas and beliefs, this quality of action is not real.
In life, either we assume action - and this assumed action is the awareness of the truth about life as it is - or all this action in us is mere egoic activity, is mere egocentric activity. Thus, we can't get rid of problems because we have never investigated the issue of problems. The life of the human being, the life in the human being is the life of the problem because it is the life of the mind, it is the life of the pattern of thought.
Thought does not deal with the truth of life at this moment, and life is something that is happening here at this moment. Thought deals with experiences, memories and recollections of the past. An important detail: when you have an experience and it is recorded as a memory, it is only a memory that comes back because it was not completed. This is something we need to comprehend.
When you have an experience and it is real, this experiencer does not enter. The experiencer in us is the element that comes from the past, and it brings from the past its memory, its recollection; and in this encounter with this instant of experience, it always adds something to that experience and takes something away from that experience. This is the model of the continuity of the "I," of the "ego," this is the experiencer.
So, these experiences are not complete, so they remain stored within us, a part of them, as a memory, and that is why the thought returns. Thus, this thought is incapable of dealing with this moment because this moment is new. Follow this calmly here.
In life, we do not have any moment that repeats itself; every moment in life is new. But there is an element in us that comes from the past with these ideas, with these memories, with these beliefs and makes an evaluation of this encounter, makes a judgment of this moment, makes a comparison of what is here with what it already knows. This quality of activity, of behavior model is something egocentric.
Thus, we are unable to deal with life as it is, in a real way, when thought is present, when the past is present - ??this past is the "I," it is the "ego," it is this old experiencer. Can we have an encounter with life without the past? Without this pattern of thought? Without this memory? That's our proposal here for you.
In this observation of life there is an Awareness of Being, which is the Truth of Life itself revealing itself; then, at that instant, there is a flow of Consciousness, of Presence, of Reality. This Consciousness is not the consciousness of the person, it is not the consciousness of the "I." What we call consciousness is the model of thought present based on the past; it recognizes from the experiences it has already had; this recognition is an inadequacy. That is how our actions are.
So, I say again: we will never be free from problems, from all forms of conflict, contradiction, disorder, fear, conflicting desires, we will never be free from psychic suffering as long as the sense of "I," of this "me," of this "ego" continues to appear. Can we become aware of this? Comprehension is needed here; it is all we need, it is the only thing we need: to have a comprehension of this process that brings this element that comes from the past and that acts, at this moment, and maintains its continuity, even in the future. When new events arise, it will be there again.
Once we comprehend this sense of "I," once we comprehend the truth about this "ego," about this model of person, we can realize, in life, the Truth about Life; and the Truth about Life is a Life free from the "ego." Life free from the "ego" is life as it is, without all the contradiction, conflict, and suffering of life as it is in this "I," in this "me," from this egoic center, from this character, from this personal identity.
This encounter with the present moment is an encounter with the Reality of Life, without the past, without this reading, evaluation, thought, idea or conclusion about what is here at this moment, about Life revealing itself, about Life at this moment. Our contacts with people, our contacts with ourselves, our contacts with situations, with events are our life of relations.
So, we have our life of relations and we have life showing us the importance of relations. Life shows us the importance of relations, but we are assuming our particular relations in life. Thought gives us a particular vision of who the other person is, of what they represent to me, of who I should be for them.
The thought here, in this "me," gives me the idea of ??how I should deal with the situations that arise in life. This is within this mistaken principle, which is the principle of thought. A thought that also involves feeling, emotion and perception. I look from a perceiver, I think from a thinker, I feel from this "me" in feeling.
Here, we are faced with a perspective sustained by imagination, by thought itself, because there is no such thing as a thinker thinking, no such thing as an "I" feeling, no such thing as an element that is the perceiver perceiving. Notice how important it is to omprehend this, because whether you are forty years old or thirty, or seventy, for all these years your life has been guided by thought, exactly in this format.
The fundamental belief, the basic idea of ??the existence of this "me," this "person," is that you are someone who is thinking, doing, feeling, making decisions, accomplishing things and having control over them. We are faced with something imaginary, a construction of thoughts that have been organized and that give you this idea, that give you this vision, this perspective.
What is the truth about you? What is the truth about thought, about feeling, about emotion, about the actions that are happening here and now? - Because all these ideas of what happened, of what you thought, of what you felt, here and now, are just a memory. What is the truth about what is present here? Is there really this "I" and life? Who are you?
Are you this body? Are you this mind? Are you these feelings, these emotions? Are you these thoughts? Notice that all of this revolves around experiences, memories, recollections, something that comes from the past. This is what we are mistaking ourselves for, this is what we have been living in for all these years.
Here we are clearly telling you, although it may be challenging - I know that - that what we know as life, in this person, is a suggestion of thought, an imagination of thought. There is a Reality, yes, present; this Reality is not the person, it is not this "me," it is not this "I," it is not this structure that mind knows, that thought recognizes, present, as being you.
Contact with the Reality of Life consists in the Awareness of Life without the "I," without the "ego." Then, we are speaking of a Life entirely unknown to thought, ignored by thought, never reached by thought, discussed by thought, or comprehended by thought. We are here touching, signaling, pointing to Something outside the mind, outside the "I," outside the "ego." This is the Life of your Being, this is the Life of God, for which you were born.
Some call this new, unknown Life, outside of all this pattern of ideas, thoughts, beliefs, conclusions, opinions, outside of all the conditioning we receive from this culture, from this idea of ??the world we have, some call it the Awakening of Consciousness or Spiritual Enlightenment - ??it is the Truth of this Being, it is the Truth of God, it is the Truth of Life. Being able to deal with family, husband, wife, children, work or whatever we have around us or within ourselves, without the sense of "I," without the sense of "ego."
Thus, when a thought or a feeling is present, or a sensation or perception is arising, dealing with what is happening internally and with the experience here, at this instant, of this external world, without the sense of "I," without the sense of "ego," is a new contact without the experiencer. If there is no experiencer in this context of existence arising, what we call experience is no longer an experience, we are faced with an experiencing.
Life is for this experiencing, Life is in this experiencing; life makes all its meaning in this experiencing. So, this explains the great confusion and suffering present in this old model, which is the presence of the "I," of this experiencer, of this one who approaches life to extract an experience from it and maintain the continuity of this life, which is the life of the "ego," the life of this experiencer, always projecting itself into the future for greater achievements.
Here there is a Completeness present, there is Something complete; this Fullness is the presence of Happiness, it is the presence of Love, it is the presence of Freedom, it is the presence of Divine Truth. So, this is Life as it is, when the "I" is not present. Here in these meetings, we have been delving into these subjects. We have two playlists here on the channel that I would like to recommend to you. The first is: "Learning about Self-Awareness;" the second is: "Real Meditation, Meditation in practice."
As you approach the Truth about yourself, you need to become aware of how all this processes internally, how this sense of "I" arises. Investigating this subject is fundamental. Discovering Self-Awareness, becoming aware of what the Truth of Meditation is, is what brings you closer to this vision of the Reality of your Being, the Reality of God.
We have meetings here on weekends, where we are together on Saturdays and Sundays. That's two days. Here, in the video description, you can find our WhatsApp link to participate in these meetings. We have in-person meetings and also retreats. If this is something that makes sense to you, here's an invitation. Go ahead, give your "like," subscribe to the channel and leave a comment here: "Yes, that makes sense." Okay? And we'll see you. Thanks for the meeting and see you next time!
