This meeting here cannot be just a speech. This here cannot be just one of dozens or hundreds of speeches you have already read or heard. What you are cannot be found in a speech or be revealed through words. The best of all speeches or written words can, at most, provide an indication for the importance of this investigation. This direct revelation is something that has to be yours. Words cannot reveal the truth or bring clear comprehension, because words are always within the mind. As we express them, we make use of concepts and thoughts. Words are basically this: concepts and thoughts.
The mind has been using words in order to create techniques, but none of them can make you get this Realization or show you what This really is. Most of the seekers are still trapped within this process of constant search for concepts, words. This is all to achieve certain experience. Realization is not about an experience. The vitality of truth lies in a direct realization of what is beyond the mind, and this is not an experience, this is not knowledge.
You are totally ready, here and now, for this verification of what is beyond the mind, but for this, you need to get rid of all your concepts, thoughts, theories, and techniques. So, it is not about a practice or reading. All of this is making you go away, because it is putting you in an opposite direction. You are going to a wrong direction because you are going away from yourself, from that what you are, because this is within the movement of the own mind.
It is the mind that learns, deduces, concludes, analyses, and chooses. This is the very impediment. This is the mind of method, of practice, of experience. We can leave all this aside, because you are, right now, here. While you are listening to me, you are very sure that you are present, undeniably present, and this means to be conscious. While you are listening to me, you exist in this Presence, in this Consciousness. The mind is not necessary.
Actually, the comprehension reaches you when there is no more thought therein, no idea, no conclusion, no concept, no agreement or disagreement with this speech. You are present and conscious before listening any word, before the next thought appears, before any feeling or sensorial experience.
There is something always present and conscious prior to everything. This Consciousness is what you are, what you have always been. This is always present. Every thought, perception and sensation appear in It. This Consciousness does not move. It does not change. It does not alter. The techniques, practices and thoughts are a separation from what is always present and natural. Meditation is the flourishing; the awakening of What is always present here and now. Then you have to abandon all this (techniques, practices, thoughts).
This present Reality, this Consciousness is not dependent; that is, It does not happen because of the thought, the feeling, the sensation or the emotion happen. These are just temporary phenomena, apparent and attached to the body. While, You as Consciousness, as present Truth, remain completely effortless, here and now, disidentified from this phenomenon of the mind. That´s why no practice can reveal This, because all of them are part of the time and, therefore, part of the mind. You need no practice or technique to exist, to be. This will never give you Realization!
Realization is Happiness. It is Peace. It is Intelligence. It is Wisdom. It is Joy. It is Love. This is not part of the mind. You can neither gain nor lose This. This is the awakening of your True Identity, of your Real Nature. Some call this as Realization of God or Enlightenment. Here, the word "identity" is in a different sense from "personality," from this particular "me." It is something entirely different from this separate "person," from this separate identity.
You cannot find the Truth outside! Thus, the whole quest for happiness or for the end of the problems is a completely flight of fancy, an imaginary fantasy, an impossible escape from all this confusion, because you cannot escape from yourself. As long as there is this illusion of identification with the mind, with this sense of separation, the ignorance will remain and, naturally, the suffering, because the lie will remain there.
Then, this Comprehension, this Real Life, this Real Intelligence, this True Happiness, is no other than something Natural as your own Being. Thus, when you are totally conscious, aware of the Truth about your Self, nothing is more important than This. If you have not Realized This, you have accomplished nothing. If you Realize This, you have nothing else to accomplish, there is nothing else to be accomplished. You are here in this life to Realize Life itself, which is not the story of this character with a name, age, profession, a particular family, culture... none of this! All of this is still part of a phenomenon, of this body-mind-world phenomenon, which is just a dream. It has no Reality. This is not You.
