Human relations | Self-image psychology | Learning about Self-Awareness | Self-inquiry

Here in these meetings we are at this learning about Self-Awareness. In general, we learn everything in life, everything we know we learn one day. So, this approach to Divine Truth, to God's Truth, also requires learning.

When you are born, you appear in this scenario, you have no awareness of things, of how things happen, so you go through a learning process, and you end up having to learn - learn about everything. Brushing your teeth is something you learn, as is chewing, walking, and everything else. So, this awareness of God's Truth is no different. We need to become aware of this Truth.

Here, the difference is that we are faced with a new way of learning, this learning about ourselves, this learning about how we function internally, psychologically, emotionally, sentimentally, at the level of perception, memory responses, remembrance, how we function. What brings us closer to the vision of God is the awareness of who we are, and not what some, in thought, formulate and believe.

We have, for example, this "how to find God." Notice, it is a question that people ask, but it is not yet clear to them that it is not something to be found, but rather a Reality that is beyond anything that thought can formulate, idealize, imagine, search for and find. God is a Reality that reveals itself when you know yourself, when you know the Truth about yourself.

See, we have two aspects here. The first is this aspect of representation of existence, of life that we have exactly right now, from this background of conditioned mind we have. So, this is an aspect of the present truth to be investigated. We have a conditioned mind, a conditioned brain, and therefore a behavior, which is the behavior of this "person," of this "I," in this way.

So here, the investigation of the truth about who you are in this aspect, in the aspect of the "I," of this "me," of this "person." The comprehension of this, the real direct vision of this is the possibility of Liberation from this condition, from this psychological condition of conditioned mind, of conditioned brain. Thus, we need something here: we need self-inquiry. Then, what is self-inquiry? It is by observing our reactions, it is becoming aware of this truth that we present ourselves to be within this context of society, of human values, of human existence.

So, this is the first aspect of truth to be investigated for the revelation of the Reality of That which is beyond this person, this "I," this "me," this condition of conditioned mind, of conditioned brain; it is when the Truth of your Being, the Truth of God, is revealed. Before this, all we have is a life where our human relations are confused, disoriented, problematic, stuck in this model, which is the model of thought, where we are living within the limitations of a program established within the context of human culture for millennia.

We are possessive, for example, in our relations. The truth about our relations, which are these human relationships, involves the issue of attachment. Attachment feeds possession in us, the presence of the fear of losing, of not controlling, of not sustaining, this is because with possession, due to attachment, we have various forms of dependence on the other: emotional, physical, sexual, and financial. So, the internal condition of life for each of us in this model of the "I" is one of suffering.

When people complain or whine about internal states of anxiety, depression, anguish, worry, envy, there is a pain present in looking at what others have and not being able to have; this is the pain of envy, when one has the desire to have and cannot have. So, within this society, this model of the world, we have been programmed within a culture of ambition, envy, and imitation.

So, pain is present in many aspects of our lives, and we don't know how to deal with any of it, because we don't know anything about observing our reactions, we don't know anything about self-inquiry. It is self-inquiry that brings us closer to learning about ourselves; and it is when we learn about ourselves that we can discard this illusion, which is the illusion of this egoic identity, which is the identity of the "I."

Here, with you, we are approaching this new way of looking at others, a way of looking free from thought. Notice the beauty of this. All our relations with people are what we have called relationships. So, in these human relations, a way of looking at others is established based on thought: the thought that I have about who he or she is. See, it is the thought that I have, it is not the truth about him or her, and this is the way we have established our human relations. That is why there is so much contradiction in the sense that we say one thing and feel something else.

For example, when I say "I love you," what is really behind this "I love you" is "I need you," "I depend on you," "I need to be accepted by you," "like me," "appreciate me," "without you I will suffer." In other words, we are living in an internal state of contradiction. When I say "I love you," what I don't really mean is fear, emotional dependence, and suffering. All of this is due to this condition of a conditioned mind, a conditioned brain, and a life of the "I."

Here, on this channel, these videos all revolve around the importance of ending this psychological condition of conditioned mind, of egoic identity, for the Revelation of That which is beyond all of this. See, beyond all of this and yet present. But we do not have access to That, because we lack an approximation of the truth about who we are or about what we are because we demonstrate ourselves to be, because we seem to be, because we show ourselves to be.

A true approach to life is an approach to oneself. There is no separation between you and life. We do not live separately from life, there is no separation between you and life, but here we also have two aspects. The first aspect is this known aspect, "I and life." This life, from which this "I" is not separate, is the life of this self-centeredness, is the egoic life. All the confusion present in the world is the confusion present in me.

There is no separation between this "me" and the other, between this "me" and life. This "me" suffers, the world suffers. There is in this "me," in this "I," need and in the world too, anguish and in the world too, jealousy and in the world too, envy and in the world too, the search for acceptance and in the world too. There is no separation between the world and this "me," this is an aspect of this egoic identity. Society is not an idea, it is not a concept, it is not an imagination, society is the expression of this "me."

What is this "I?" This "I" is confusion, disorder, suffering, fear, and this is present in society, this is present in the world, this is present in us. So, when we use the expression "we" here, we refer to this "I." When we use the expression "world" here, we refer to this society, which is this "we," which is this "I": there is no distance, there is no separation.

Here we are, with you, investigating all of this, delving deeper, exploring these issues, which are issues of psychological nature. We do not pay attention to this vision of life, because we are, superficially, attending to these whims of the ego, these whims of the "I," giving an answer to the world, to society, to the other, to this "we," to this "I" based on a model that is already pre-established, predetermined by the conditioning of human culture, where all types of expressions of ignorance are established in this dream of the world, of existence, of society.

Because of this ignorance, this alienation from the Truth, human beings have been suffering for millennia. And we have just seen this here: this human being is this "I." Can we break with this? Can we go beyond this aspect, which is the aspect of this "I and life," to the Real Life, where we do not have the presence of this "I," where we have the Reality of your Being, which is the Reality of God?

Notice, the Reality of your Being is not something that is within the context of the world, of society, of this "we," of this "I." The Reality of your Being is something that is beyond everything that thought knows and recognizes within the context of life. See how important it is here for us to have a real approach to all this. So, this "how to find God" requires the absence of this illusion of the "I," since the "I" is within this context of the world and the Divine Reality is beyond this condition.

And, notice, here when we speak of the world, society, "we," "I," we are only speaking of the psychological aspect, something that thought has established as being real within life, but which is also not real. Note, this is the end of this dream, this illusion of the world, of society, of this "we," of this "I"; this is the end of this structure of suffering, of confusion, of disorder that thought has established as being real.

To put it another way: this awareness of the Reality of God cannot be found, but it is something that reveals itself when you awaken, when you awaken from this dream, from this psychological condition of conditioned mind, conditioned brain, life of the "I," egoic consciousness, consciousness of the "I." It is essential that we have a real approach to life, something that becomes possible when you learn about yourself.

What is this learning about Self-Awareness? We have a playlist here on the channel that goes deeper into this with you. Becoming aware of the truth about this "I" is the end of it. The truth about this "person" is the end of this illusion that there is a person in life. What we have, in reality, is Life, but it is Life without the "I," it is the Life of God, it is the Life of Truth.

These statements we make here on the channel require further study, which is why all these subjects are included in these talks, in playlists. The end of this psychological condition of the "I" is the end of this self-image, which is the image that thought has established as being the truth about the "person," about this "me," living life, this particular illusory life.

So, this subject of self-image is well-known in psychology. It has already become clear to most people, at least in theory, what we are saying here, that this "I" is nothing other than a self-image created by this thought, by this model of thought that society, the world, this "we," this "I" has established, but we are faced with an illusion. There is a Reality present and the vision of this Reality is Love, it is Happiness, it is the vision of God.

Then, to the question "how to find God": you cannot find Him. It is with the end of this "I," this illusion of this "me," this "you" that this Reality shows itself, that this Reality Reveals itself. This is what we are working on here with you, the end of this so-called spiritual search, the end of this quest. Here we are dealing with the awareness of your Being Revealing itself here and now. On Saturdays and Sundays we will be together in online meetings here. You can find the link to participate in these meetings in the video description. So, if this is something that makes sense to you, here is an invitation. Please give your "like," subscribe to the channel and leave here in the comments: "Yes, that makes sense." Ok? And we will see each other. Thanks for the meeting and see you next time!
