Joel Goldsmith | Invisible Supply | How to Find God? | Marcos Gualberto

GC: Hello everyone, we're here for another videocast. Once again, Master Gualberto is with us. Thank you, Master, for being here. Today, I'm going to read an excerpt from a book by Joel Goldsmith called "Invisible Supply." In one passage of this book, Joel Goldsmith makes the following comment: "We come to comprehend that, although the supply may come through these channels, its source is within us." Well, Master, in this passage, Joel says that the source is within us. Within these topics, Master, can you share your vision on how to find God?

MG: Gilson, here we face a mistaken idea. It's the thought of having this encounter with God-that's the mistaken idea. Present Reality is God's Reality. You, in thought, cannot have an encounter with God. What becomes possible here is the awareness of this Reality; the comprehension of this present Reality. Unless you have this comprehension-which is the Reality of this Self that is present here-there will be no encounter with God. The encounter with God is to embrace the Reality of Being.

Life doesn't happen for someone, just as God isn't something present for the person. The Reality of God present is the Reality of this Self that is You. This isn't the presence of the person having an encounter with God; it's the awareness of God's Truth here, in this moment. When you go to a lake, you look at that lake and what is there, is the surface of the water; there is no depth. Our relation with ourselves is also a superficial relation. There is no revelation of that lake, of that Life. Therefore, what is present here is being seen by each of us on the surface. There is no depth of Life, the clarity of Life, the truth about Life. The Truth of Life is Divine Truth; it is the Truth of God.

You ask: "How to find God?" First, have the revelation of the truth about yourself. Who are you? If there is no revelation of the truth about yourself, if you don't know the truth about yourself, how will you know the truth about God? Finding God requires knowing where He is, where He is. For us, God is a truth in the future because, when we talk about this encounter, the mind projects the future onto the encounter. The idea is someone having an encounter with God. Investigating the nature of the truth about oneself is to discover that this "I" is not real. There is no one present here to have this encounter with God. There is no one present here to think about Life, about the future, to think about tomorrow. The presence of this someone is the presence of the thinker having thoughts.

But what is the truth about thought? To have awareness of this "I," which is the thinker, we must, first of all, comprehend what thought is. The idea you have about yourself is a thought present there. What is the truth of this thought? Is there such a thing as someone's thought? Is there a separation between the thought present here, at this moment, and someone having this thought? Or is this someone having this thought a single phenomenon, a single event?

Note, for this answer-which is the answer to the question "How to find God?" -, we first need the answer to the question "Who am I?" Who is this who thinks? Who is this who is having this thought? Comprehending the truth of thought about God is comprehending the truth about this "I" who thinks about God. It is precisely here that the answer to this question lies, because Truth, when it reveals itself, shows itself as a single present Truth. The truth that there is no such thing as this "I" when thought is present. What is present, when thought is present, is memory, recollection, remembrance; it is the suggestion given by thought itself. Therefore, it is thought itself that creates this "I" seeking this answer.

Your contact with the Reality of God, with Divine Truth, in this encounter with God, is That which is revealed here, present when thought is not present, because this "I" is not present. There is only Life happening. Life is this Divine Reality, here and now. The idea of ??someone present having thoughts about Life, about God, about the world, is something imagined by thought itself; constructed, established by thought itself.

It's important to listen to what we're saying here, but it's not just about dwelling on these words. It's necessary to become aware of this directly; and you can-and should-become aware of this directly by learning about yourself. It is when there is this self-learning-which is true Self-awareness-we discover that the presence of thought for this "I is an illusion. In this learning, we discover that when we discard thought, we discard this "I," and Life reveals itself as the Truth of God. This is the Truth about you.

Therefore, you are not to be found in the future. You are here as this is the Reality of Life itself, to self-reveal. In this self-revelation, you have this encounter with God. But, in this encounter with God, there is no separation between the Reality that we call God and you. Notice, this is something entirely different from everything that thought has put there as a belief: the idea of ??God there and you here; you as someone, as a person, and God as the Supreme Reality. The Reality of God cannot be there, cannot be in the future, cannot be in time. This is part of the imagination of thought.

Thought in us is the element that comes from memory. The presence of memory is the presence of thought. Thought is, basically, memory. Memory is, basically, the past. Thus, what there is in the future, for the future, is what thought establishes. And, therefore, the future is still the past. Therefore, what is present is the presence of the imagination of God in the future. It is thought, the element of the past, that imagines this encounter for this "I" that it has established, that it has constructed.

The comprehension of Truth requires the end of thought, of the past and, naturally, of the future. There is no such thing as this future without thought, without the past; and there is no such thing as this "I" without the presence of thought. Your contact with this instant, without thought, is contact with Life without the "I," without the ego, without that person. It is this contact that reveals That which is beyond the mind, beyond thought, beyond the past, beyond the future.

You ask: "How to find God?" By becoming aware of the moment, without thought; by becoming aware of this instant, without time, without the past and without the future. Unless you, in your Being, assume the Reality of Life in this moment, there will never be this encounter with Truth, this encounter with God. There is no such thing as an entity here, which is the "I," to have an encounter with something there, somewhere, that thought calls God. God is the Reality of the moment revealing itself when thought is not.

Therefore, we are faced with Something unattainable by thought, unattainable by words. Your true encounter with God is not an experience for the person, for that "me," for that "I." Your true encounter with God is the awareness that there is no such thing as a separation between You and Him; between Him, You, and Life; between Life, Him, You, and the Other. There is no such thing as a separation. It is thought that is establishing all this confusion. It is thought that establishes in us this search, quest, or project for the future. There is no future, no project, no search.

Here, revelation shows itself present, at this moment, when we learn to look, to listen, to perceive Life without thought-without thought, without the "I." What prevents us from having this real vision of God is the very presence of this "I," which is the observer; which is this element constituted of thoughts situated in time, projecting the future from the past. I hope this becomes clear to you. The true clarity of this will emerge the moment you discover how to look. Then, by yourself, the Reality of That which is present becomes clear, which is the Truth of your Being.

GC: Master, we have a question from a subscriber here on the channel, who made the following comment: "Master, my thoughts are always focused on lack and limitation. How can I change these thoughts?"

MG: Notice, here you talk about this limitation created by thought, at the same time that you talk about this need to change thought. But who is this present element that wants to change thought? Who is this present element that is seeing the lack, the limitation? This idea of ??changing thought requires the presence of someone carrying out this purpose. This purposeful movement of that person is born from the very desire to change this. This desire is the very presence of thought.

Therefore, notice how the mind works in us: first, it generates dissatisfaction; then, it produces the desire to change it. But it is the mind itself, the very movement of thought in its dissatisfaction, producing an idea of ??change in this project. This is how we position ourselves as someone present, as this "I" that wants to change. Therefore, this "I" is the very presence of thought in its dissatisfaction, projecting a satisfaction that it desires.

Your real contact with the truth about yourself-which is to look directly at these answers created by thought (see, at these problems established by thought and at these answers created by thought itself)-to look at this without placing another thought on top of it is to get rid of this "I"; it is to eliminate the continuity of this movement of dissatisfaction and, therefore, of lack and limitation. The point is that we are trapped in a game: the game created by thought itself.

Therefore, thought created this game and placed us as someone present to get rid of a problem that thought itself established. There is no way to get rid of a problem created by thought within thought. That is why we are here looking, perceiving, listening to this movement. The awareness of this movement-which is a movement within the mind itself, which is a movement of thought itself; a movement that is establishing problems and creating projects to solve the problems-looking at it, being aware of it, without interfering, then Something new emerges, Something new happens. It is when this movement of thought is observed, perceived, that it dissolves and, when it dissolves, this sense of "I," of the ego, of this "me," also dissolves.

The Truth of this Being, the Reality of this verification, of this perception, is the Liberation from this condition, from this suffering, from this disorder, from this lack, from this limitation. Therefore, all we need in Life is to discover how the mind is happening for each of us; how this movement is being processed here. It is being processed, occurring in a completely unconscious, mechanical way. This unconsciousness and mechanical nature of this movement is the presence of conditioning, of a pattern of repetition. Discarding this psychological condition is Liberation, in this life, from this confusion, this disorder, conflict, contradiction and suffering.

Therefore, what awakens this Liberation is not the attempt or desire to change, because all of that is still within the own project, the own ego, the own "I," the own mind, the own thought. What brings about change, real transformation (it is not the desire to change; what brings about the New is, in this sense, where we have true change), is the comprehension of this entire process. That is why we have emphasized the importance of Self-awareness and this encounter with Meditation, Real Meditation. We have several videos here on the channel delving deeper into this issue of Meditation and Self-awareness.

GC: Master, we have another question from another subscriber here on the channel, who made the following comment: "Master, is there a real possibility of knowing what the present moment is? Is it possible to ascertain this from the body?"

MG: Gilson, the awareness of this instant, of what is present here, this is the presence of the moment. There is only this moment, there is only this instant. Our questions are quite curious. You ask: "Is it possible to verify this from the body?" What is present here is Life happening. The presence of the body, of the world, is something present here, in this instant, in this moment, just as the presence of thought is here in this moment. It is not a matter of a technique or a method to ascertain this. All that is necessary is to look, to observe our reactions, whether physical or psychological. It is about bringing awareness to this moment.

So, in this sense, the comprehension of the moment is achieved when there is this Attention. When thought is present and it is observed, without interacting with it, without reacting to it, without placing a present identity in it-which is the thinker-it is something similar to a gesture. Therefore, becoming aware of your gestures, your tone of voice, awareness of speech, of the gaze, as well as awareness of a thought happening within you, or a sensation, simply becoming aware of this is enough to realize that Life is now and here. It is when we intend to change something. This movement of intention is born from this psychological background that wants to change, transform, modify. So, we interfere with the moment, we interfere with the instant. This interference is the interference of the "I"; it is, again, the interference of the past.

This is how we are living our lives: always involved with the present moment from the perspective of the past, from this center that is the "I," which is the ego. But when we discover what it is to look at this instant-just to look-it is like listening; it is only listening. When you listen to something and make a comment about it, express something about it, at that moment the sense of "I" arises to interfere, to give an opinion, to accept or reject. But when there is only listening, there is no interference. When you listen to music that interests you, you simply listen; you don't interfere, you just listen. It's just about appreciating, perceiving, listening.

When we introduce a present identity to compare what we are hearing with something we have already heard, at that moment listening is interrupted. The presence of comparison, of evaluation, the presence of this agreement or disagreement completely alters the perception of the moment, because the sense of "I" emerges. Looking at something is just looking. But when that look is to create comments, to make evaluations, at that moment that "I" emerges with its background, with its past, with its concept, prejudice, with its pre-formed idea.

Therefore, the moment here and now is self-revealing when the "I" is not present, when that sense of someone does not interfere. That is what we are here together to verify, to discover, to perceive. Thus, in this perception, that which is outside the known, outside of time, outside of the mind is revealed. That which is outside the mind is outside of this idea of ??yesterday, today, and tomorrow. It is outside of time. The Reality of this Being, Divine Reality is timeless. This is the Reality of this Being. This is the Truth about God. The awareness of oneself. The awareness of that which is present here, beyond the "I." Therefore, this is our work together. This is what we are investing our minds and our hearts in.

GC: Gratitude, gratitude, Master. Our time is over. Gratitude for this videocast. And for you who are watching the videocast to the end and truly wish to live these Truths, you are invited to participate in the intensive weekend meetings that Master Gualberto provides.

These meetings are much more profound than these videos here on YouTube. First, because the Master answers our questions live. And second, and much more impactful, is that, because the Master already lives in this Awakened State of Consciousness, He shares an Energy field around Him, a field of Presence, Power, and Grace.

And in these meetings, we end up being carried by this field of Presence from the Master. And by being carried by the Master, spontaneously, without any practice, without any technique, without any effort, we enter a meditative state, silence our minds, and can have a real understanding of the subjects discussed here on the channel.

So, the invitation is extended. In the first pinned comment, there is a WhatsApp link to participate in these meetings. Also, please "like" the video, subscribe to the channel, and leave comments here, bringing questions for us to address in future videocasts. And Master, once again, thank you for the videocast.
