It seems to me that these meetings need to be very clear for each one of us. This is not another meeting to just have fun or spend some time together. We have to have these meetings here as an opportunity to study ourselves.
You know, on this channel, we are dealing about the Awakening of Consciousness, so the subjects dealt with here are subjects that need to be studied by each one of us. It's not just about listening to this here, like when we listen to something, someone talking, in the same way that we listen to ideas. Here, we are investigating some things, deepening some things, things that are essential for this Awakening, for the Awakening of Consciousness, for the Revelation of the Truth about who we are. So, that's what we have to be very clear about, here, within these meetings. We are studying ourselves; we are becoming aware of what goes on inside each of us.
Today, I want to deal with you on the subject of what the mind is. What is this human mind and how does it work? The issue of the mind is something fundamental within these meetings, the understanding of how we work. We are the result of past experiences, knowledge, remembrances, memories, and this is something that is part of this mind as we know. We function based on the mind. Our actions, speech is an action, movement is an action. So, we need to understand the nature of the human mind, the structure of that human mind, because that's what we carry in us. We need this understanding because it is from it that we act, that we speak, that we feel. Our life consists of that movement, the movement of the mind itself.
So, what is the mind? How do we work? Let's approach this calmly, cautiously, with a dedicated approach, because we need to understand what goes on inside each one of us. Understanding this is actually understanding life, this so-called “my life.” Not understanding this is this so-called “my life” in confusion, in disorder. This is how our lives have been, a life in confusion, a life in disorder. We have joy, pleasure, satisfaction, some moments of peace, of love, but we don't know the real meaning of those very words that we just used here. We have some very pleasant moments that we call moments of peace, of joy, of love, but we don't understand any of that because we don't understand ourselves, we don't understand how we work, that inner movement of the mind in us.
What is the mind? How does it work? Who are we? What is the truth about all this? So, a diligent, careful, loving approach can bring us that vision, the vision of the truth about who we are. If that becomes clear, suffering ends, confusion ends, all that disorder that has been life in the mind ends. That mind is, yes, this result of all the information, of all the knowledge, of everything that the human being, throughout these millennia, throughout this human history, has accumulated.
If we don't understand the truth about who we are, our psychological and physical condition of existence will remain the same. So, this investigation is something that becomes possible, yes, we need it, but it is something that happens if we are honest and passionate about it. In general, we don't have that honesty, we don't have that approach. In fact, we can't even see the importance of it, of a free mind. We don't know what the mind is, we don't know how we work. The truth is that within this psychological condition of life that we have, in this condition of mind that we are unaware of, we are in internal states of confusion, emotional disorder, psychological disorder, physical disorder, because we do not understand who we are. We don't have a direct vision of the Truth, the simplicity, the naturalness of our Being. So, we are here with you investigating this, going deeper into this. We are becoming aware of that at each meeting.
We have these meetings here on the channel, we have online meetings on the weekends, and the link to participate in these meetings is in the video description. We work with you to show you that this Realization is possible. We are proposing a work for you in which this Realization becomes possible. That means an understanding of life, the Real life that in the mind, as we live that mind in this illusion, in this ignorance of who we are, we don't understand. We are working together. We need to find out what life is, life free from this limitation of this mind as we know, or rather this mind that we don't know; there is all this limitation in it.
The human being has been trapped within patterns of envy, jealousy, possession, control, insecurity for millennia, and all of this is part of this fear, something intimate to this condition of an unknown mind in us. We live in that mind, but we don't know it. This mind is what I have been calling here the egoic mind, the mind of this “I.” The person you see yourself as, the person you believe yourself to be, is within this model of the egoic mind. So, our life takes place within that limitation of every form of suffering, of fear, of contradiction, and confusion.
Is there a way to move beyond this so-called “life” as we know? That's the challenge here. The understanding of a life totally different from that quality of life that, in general, we know, that our parents knew, our grandparents knew, a quality of life completely different from the life of those who arrived before us – I mean our parents, grandparents, great-grandparents. Is it possible for us to discover life outside this limitation, this so-called “human mind,” this egoic mind condition? So, we have access to a quality of life that is completely different from this ordinary life, this common life, this life that we have had. Without this understanding of life, without this understanding of the Real life possible for each of us – a life free of this egoic mind, this uninvestigated mind –, not understanding this is the continuation of the same old human life, the same old human mind.
Thus, this work here consists of discovering a new mind. A new mind brings a new heart, a vision of life free of this sense of a “I,” an ego, a present identity. So, this understanding of life is the Truth of Revelation of the beauty of death – notice the fright we have, the fear we even have of this word. What we call “life” consists of this condition of habit, routine, and continuity. In this condition of common life, of continuous life, of routine life, every form of confusion prevails. Here, we are proposing to you a Divine life. This Divine life understands or apprehends within itself the beauty of death, then there is no more fright, there is no more fear. We are facing a direct understanding of the Divine Truth, which is the Truth of our Being.
We need to understand what the mind is, understand how we function, so this unknown mind – because due to this ignorance we have never approached it for investigation – now becomes clear, and when it becomes clear for each of us, we transcend it, we can go beyond it to this Real mind, to this new mind, to this free mind.
The mind as we live, that known mind in us, is the mind that we don't know. The mind you know is a mind you don't really know how it works. Watch this movement of the mind and you will realize what we are putting in. We are the result of remembrances, memories, knowledge, and experiences; some are private, personal, individual and others are collective. It is the result of an entire human history and we have been functioning, we are functioning based on this condition of mind common to all. Is there a possibility, is it possible to go beyond that? Is it possible for us to discover this new mind we are talking about here? A mind free of all that pattern, all that representation, all that program of human history and the particular experience of memory that we have accumulated over these thirty or forty years? Is it possible for a mind completely different from the mind that we have, as we see ourselves, to a vision beyond this limitation of what is known, to the beauty of That which is Nameless, of That which is outside all this context?
This is the proposal here within this space, in these speeches, the discovery of life free of the “I,” of life free of the ego, of life free of this condition of the egoic mind composed of this human unconscious, which is the whole history of the human race and of this “consciousness.” The truth is that we have divided the mind into conscious and unconscious, however, this “conscious” and “unconscious” are the result of all human history, all the history of humanity; and throughout these millennia, the history of humanity has been a story of violence, fear, suffering, disorder, and, therefore, of insanity.
The Truth of the Realization of your Being, the Awakening of Consciousness is the emergence of Something new, of Something entirely unknown to this known mind, this ordinary mind, this mind that lives within this pattern of ignorance. An understanding of the truth about the movement of the mind, a realization of the truth of how we function, in this Self-Awareness, becomes possible. If that becomes possible, we can transcend that mind, transcend that condition, transcend that limitation. So, our work here consists of this study of the truth about how we function to transcend this condition of egoic identity.
This mind as we know is the result of time, it is the result of a whole heritage of human history, the limitation of history, the limitation of time. With the realization of the Truth about who we are we can cross that barrier, we can cross that border, the border of history, the border of time, the border of “I”; it’s when, in fact, we approach an understanding of the end of this merely egoic existence. This is what I have here called the understanding of the beauty of Real life which contains the truth of death. The end of that old life is death. This new and Real life is Real life. So, we're working together here on Real Living. This Real living is the end for this continuity of the “I,” of the ego, and it is always a beginning for this Divine life, for the life of your Being, for this Real Consciousness, for this Real Divine life.
So, the work here consists of that discovery, the discovery of how we work, how to go beyond the limitation of this egoic mind, of this so-called “human mind.” That's the end of tradition, that's the end of culture, that's the end of the past. So, psychologically, internally, there is a new way of feeling, a new way of thinking, a new way of acting. The whole point here is that there is no way to approach this through a technique, through a method, through a system. People hope to realize the Divine Truth, the Reality of God, or the Awakening of Consciousness – the end for that old mind, for that ego-identity – through a technique, a practice, or a system. Here, the work consists of recognizing the very movement of the “I,” the very movement of the mind. Approaching the movement of the “I,” which is this movement of this egoic mind, this human mind, the understanding of this is the end for it, it is the end for this mechanical, unconscious, repetitive, continuous condition, trapped in this pattern of response of culture – what I have called psychological conditioning –, it is the end of it. It is not something that arises due to a practice, a technique, or a system.
An approach through Self-awareness is an approach to bringing awareness to that very movement of the mind. That’s what can reveal its movement. This is Self-awareness. In that Self-awareness, the awareness of the Truth of your own Being is revealed, it is when that true Meditation is present. It is not a technique, a practice, or a system of self-awareness or meditation. It is an approach of oneself through self-observation. So, we need to investigate ourselves in a very direct, very real, very close way. So, the methods, the practices, the systems – all of which we've learned – don't work. All this really needs to be set aside. In order to have an approach of ourselves, we need to learn to see, to observe, to look at how we work.
So, this work here consists of this self-discovery, this studying ourselves here and now, moment by moment. Then we know, in a direct way, that there is no longer this ignorance of this known mind, there is a clear understanding of how this “I,” this ego, this illusory identity is positioned in this so-called “life story” – in this story of the life of this “I,” of this ego. So, Self-awareness is the discarding of this illusion. The awareness of this truth about who we are is the Revelation of the Truth of Real life, which is this Divine life, which is this life of God.
So, follow me cautiously, look at it, come closer to observe it in an experiential way, in a practical way. Not through practice, but in a practical way here and now, and it becomes possible. This becomes possible because all this complete content of mind, all this total content of mind, which represents all this conditioning of human history – it has this particular aspect of a few years of life for each of us and it has this whole aspect of human history –, the vision of the totality of that mind, that sense of a present “I” is verified. If that is seen, in that Presence, in that Awareness, in that Revelation, there is a break to that condition, the end to that condition of “I– identity,” the end of that conditioning, which is the conditioning of the mind; then it is no longer this human mind, it is this Divine mind, it is this new mind, it is this mind free of the “I.”
This is the subject that we are dealing with here, deepening here with you. We are becoming aware of it here with you. We have online meetings that take place on weekends. As I just said, there's a link here in the video description for you to go deeper with us. We have face-to-face meetings and we also have retreats, where we are working together on this, the end of the illusion of this “I” and the Awakening of this Real Consciousness; the end of this automatism, this unconsciousness, this routine, this pattern of psychological insanity that is life in this “I.” So, if this is something that makes sense to you, join our Whatsapp group. And also leave your “like” and subscribe to the channel. OK? See you! Thanks for the meeting and see you soon!
