Atma Vichara. Meditation. How to find God? Meditation: What is it? Learning about Self-Awareness.

Here, the point is that we need to investigate what lies behind this question, whether or not it has importance and relevance for each of us. I refer to this question: "How to find God?" What lies behind this question? What does this encounter with God truly mean?

Notice that this question is being asked by those who are in search or pursuit of Truth. But what happens in this search? We visualize Truth as something to be found, and then we move from a search. The movement of seeking within us is the movement of will, of wanting, of desire to get there, to find it.

The idea within us is that we are not living the Truth, and that we need to live the Truth, and that we will live the Truth when we move from here to that place where it is found. This Truth is God! This may seem very reasonable, plausible, and true to us, but why not investigate what is here? Why not become aware of what is present here? It is here that we come across a mistaken view.

The Truth is that which is revealing itself here, as we are, as we show ourselves, as we present ourselves. We do not want to look at what we are because we have an idea of what we need to be. We have an idea of what we need to become. Thus, we place the encounter with Truth for the future, for tomorrow.

What we need here is something else: we need to be aware of what is present here. It is the comprehension of what we are, the comprehension of the truth about ourselves. And it is precisely the comprehension of the truth about ourselves that performs a work, that operates a change.

It is the vision of the truth about ourselves that requires the presence of this learning about Self-awareness, which allows us to see the illusion of what we are within this Truth. The idea that Truth is in the future is something we are projecting now, within an illusory perspective, within a vision that tries to escape, to get rid of what is present here. What is here is uncomfortable, heavy, and difficult.

We have a tedious and afflicted life, complicated, disoriented, in suffering. So, we idealize Truth as being different from the condition in which we find ourselves. This idealization is the image that thought constructs based on the state in which we find ourselves. Yes, there is a Divine Reality, there is a Reality that is the Reality of God, but it is not to be found, it is the Reality that reveals itself; and it reveals itself when we comprehend the truth, but not the Truth about God, but rather the truth about ourselves; the truth about what we are, precisely this that we are, here, at this moment.

Learning about Self-awareness is to be aware of how we function, of what we hide and what we declare, of what is present on the surface of our private life, in our relations, and the awareness of what is hidden within ourselves, always finding a way of expression from this mind we carry.

The way we are responding to life, the way we are dealing with people, dealing with the world- the world of ideas, the world of people, the world of objects, the world of the relations we have with our possessions, with the objects we own... We are surrounded by objects, by people, surrounded by situations, and also, internally, we carry many particular forms of worldview, of views about others, of views about ourselves.

Thus, both what is external, on the surface, and what is hidden, in the depths, in what we might call the unconscious within us, the presence of mind in us has this surface and this depth. Everything we are holding onto but have not become aware of, is what is hidden within us-some call it the unconscious or unconscious mind.

We are dealing with one single mind: it is the mind of the "me," it is the mind of the person. And we are projecting a reality, a truth, beyond the condition in which we currently find ourselves, but this projection still comes from this mind, this illusory psychological condition in which the ego finds itself, in which the person finds itself.

We do need a Revelation of God. Note, it is not a movement of meeting Him; it is not to have an encounter, from this movement of encounter, what we are looking for, because as persons, we are living in an inner condition sustained by mental conditioning, by psychological conditioning, in an illusory condition, in a condition of fantasy, of fiction.

The fantasy, the fiction, the illusion consists in this "person," in this "me." The imagination, the fiction of an entity present here that can have an encounter with God over there. The Truth about you is the Liberation from illusion. Only when we become Aware of the Truth about us, about who we are, then this door opens, this portal to the Reality of God, to the Truth of God.

The Truth about who we are ends this fiction, this imagination, it ends this idea of someone present, the person here, separated from God, this "me" separated from the other, separated from Life. The vision of Reality consists in the end of the illusion of the truth of what we are demonstrating to be, seeming to be.

The presence of Self-awareness is the awareness of how we are dealing with others, with ourselves, and with life. We are dealing with him or her from the "I." The "I" is an element that thinks, that feels, that does, that accomplishes things. The "I" is the element that is in search or in pursuit. This element, this "I," is an idea of thought. Therefore, it is an imagination created by thought-the presence of this "I."

There is no such thing as someone present here to have an encounter with God over there. The Reality of Life is here, and the Reality of Life is Life itself, and this Life is the Divine Truth. So, the Revelation of the Truth of God becomes present when the illusion of this "I" is no longer there, this "I" that thinks, feels, does, desires, fears, carries problems and conflicts. When we have the end of this "I," we have the Awareness of the Truth of God.

Ramana Maharshi, the Sage of the Mountain of Arunachala, spoke about Atma Vichara. The words Atma Vichara are an expression that means self-inquiry, self-investigation. It is the investigation into the nature of this "I"; the importance of this discovery, of this verification that we are facing an illusion. To look at yourself and be aware of how you function is Atma Vichara, it is self-observation; and Atma Vichara is the presence of Meditation.

Thus, where we have the presence of Atma Vichara, of this self-observation, we come closer to the Truth of Meditation. What allows us to have the vision of the Reality of God, notice, to have the discovery of the Truth of God-is not, I repeat, to leave here to have a meeting with God in the future, but it is to have Awareness of the Reality of God revealing itself here-and what makes this possible is the presence of Meditation.

So, what is Meditation? Meditation, what is it? Meditation is looking at the present moment, discovering how to look at this moment without the "I." When you have a thought here, at this moment, the idea in you is that you are someone present behind that thought.

When you see the rain falling, you don't feel responsible for the rain falling; you are not the one responsible for the rain falling. However, when you see a thought arising in you, you believe that you are the element responsible for that thought. This responsibility is an imagination of the own thought that arose. If that thought weren't there, you wouldn't have any idea of being someone thinking. The idea of being someone thinking exists because the thought is there. What comes first is always the thought, and only afterward comes the thinker.

When we have the presence of thought, we feel like the parents of the thought, responsible for the thought. But if you examine, investigate, look closely, which requires the presence of self-observation, of this looking free from beliefs, conclusions, evaluations, and choices, free from liking or disliking, if you get closer and look at thought in this way, you'll perceive that thought is just a response arising now due to some stimulus that arose. However, that thought wasn't produced by you, it appeared because of memory, of recollection. That is, it's the presence of the past arising.

And when thought arises, our model of psychological conditioning, of mental conditioning, is to believe we are present, thinking. No, we are not thinking, it is thought that has arisen! The idea of someone thinking is also something that has arisen with the thought. Thought itself creates a fragment of itself, which is the image of the person, this "me," this "I," of this thinker. That's what we need to discover here in order to go beyond the "ego," beyond the "I," beyond the thinker.

Therefore, we need to discover the truth that there is no thinker for thoughts; and when that becomes clear, this idea of separation between thought and thinker disappears. When that disappears, we are simply facing an appearance. Just as rain is an appearance and you are not responsible for it, when thought is present, it is also an appearance. You assume responsibility only when, at this moment, you identify with thought, then arises the sense of the "I," of the ego.

In life, we are acting based on thought because we are assuming thought through this thinker. When we learn to look at thought without the thinker, thought does not sustain itself. When we learn to look at a feeling like sadness, at an emotion like anger, at a sensation like desire or fear, when we learn to look without the sense of an "I" being present, this experience undergoes a profound change; and when that happens, we have the end of this "I."

The presence of Meditation is a new space that arises when there is this quality of looking, of perceiving, of being aware of how the mind functions. And when that is present, at this moment, Something beyond the mind is Revealed. This Something beyond the mind is the Divine Reality. Can we, in this life, assume the Truth of this encounter with God, of this realization of the Reality of God? Thus, the word "encounter" here takes on a new meaning: the meaning of the realization of a present Reality, fully assuming this body and this mind.

When we have the cessation of the "I," due to the end of this internal psychological condition of a model of conditioned mind, we have the end of fear, the end of conflicts of desires, the end of this condition of sensation, something that brings us much suffering, something that brings contradictions, conflict, and suffering for this sense of "I." Then, at this moment, we have the Revelation of the Reality of God, when the mind quiets down, when the brain silences itself, and this internal condition undergoes a profound change.

So, we come face-to-face with the Truth of the non-existence of the "I." And then, with the comprehension of this Truth, the Reality of God reveals itself here, at this moment. This is what we are seeing here with you in these meetings. We have online meetings on weekends, where we are, on Saturdays and Sundays, working on this with you-two full days. I want to leave you an invitation: you'll find, in the description of the video, our WhatsApp link so you can join these weekend online meetings.

Besides the online, we also have in-person meetings and retreats. If what you've just heard is something that makes sense to you, here's the invitation, go ahead, leave your "like", subscribe to the channel, and comment below: "Yes, it makes sense." Okay? And we'll see each other again. Thanks for the meeting, and see you next time!

Advaita Vedanta | How to find God? | Meditation: what is it? | Learning about Self-Awareness

Here we come across the beauty of an encounter with this knowledge of ourselves. And to know ourselves means to know our relation with life, with the world, with everything around us. Not only our relation with people, but also with ideas, with the situations that occur, with everything that happens.

So, we are here looking, investigating, going deeper into this matter. And what we have placed here is that we don't need technical, specialized knowledge, like, for example, to learn something. To learn something, you need knowledge and experience, it's something that gives you specialization.

Here, the approach to this view of life, of the world, of ourselves, in contact with him, her, situations and events, all that we really need to learn about Self-awareness consists in perception. Notice the importance of this expression here, within the context of this talk.

Perception is the way of looking at the situation; looking without the sensing element, without the element that compares, evaluates, that judges the present moment, that judges the experience. When you are with someone, you can look at them from a sensor, from an element in you that makes evaluations, judgments, comparisons, or you can look at him or her without this element. Here it is about perception, about perceiving, and not about evaluating, comparing, and judging.

So, when we learn about ourselves, we are in front of a mirror, of comprehension, of vision. When you look at yourself in the mirror in the morning, you don't look to censure, you look to be aware of what shows up there, which is yourself.

Our contact with the world, with life, with situations, with ideas, and with people, in general, this relation is very mistaken, because our relations come from the principle of the thinker. The thinker in you is the sensing element.

When you like someone, you like from the sensor, from the element that evaluates the other based on wanting or not wanting to be with him or her. That's because you like him or her, or you do not. You already bring this liking from the past.

The way we are dealing with the experience of the present moment is not an opportunity we take; at least we don't make this moment an opportunity for comprehending ourselves, because we don't use this mirror that is here. I look at the other from the idea I have of him or her, and in the same way, I look at myself.

Here we are inviting you to a contact with perception, and perception doesn't require that. We are not inviting you to be the perceiver, but to be in a perception. Self-discovery, the Self-awareness is the presence of Meditation.

There is no such thing as Meditation separate from Self-awareness. Therefore, what people practice in the name of meditation is not Real Meditation. Because Meditation is not separate from self-discovery, from self-verification, from the comprehension of the Truth.

The presence of Meditation is the absence of an element in Meditation, in the practice of Meditation-this element is the element that struggles for results. The struggle for results is the pursuit of the will for a goal. You have a goal and try to reach the goal in that struggle, from an effort. Meditation is not that.

There is no effort in Meditation, there is no struggle in Meditation and there is no purpose in Meditation. Meditation is the Awareness of the Reality of Life as it is, without the "I," without the past, without the sensor, without the meditator.

Therefore, Meditation, what is it? What is Meditation? It is the Awareness of Life, which reveals the fundamental element in life, which is present here and remains unknown; this element is the Divine Reality, it is the Reality of God.

Thus, the importance of Self-awareness is that Self-awareness is the basic element for the Truth of Meditation, of the space that opens, where the Reality of the encounter with God is revealed. How to find God? Becoming aware of the space where He is. It's not where He is located; He is not there. Where is He? He is present as the Reality of Life itself.

Another mistaken thing, besides the idea of someone, by effort, by practice, with the intention of obtaining the result of Meditation-as if there were a result in Meditation... For many, the result is the silencing of the mind, it is quietness, it is relaxation, it is the presence of a mystical or spiritual experience. Beyond this mistake, we also have the illusion of, by effort, in time, meeting God.

So, the person asks: "How to find God?" The idea is that, as a person, they can have this encounter. The Reality of God is the absence of the "I," it is the absence of the person, because the Nature of your Being, the Truth about You is that there is no person present. The person present is the illusion of the "I," of the "ego." It is exactly the element that is discarded within a clear view of Self-awareness.

It is here that we have the importance of looking. Just like you in the morning look at your face in the mirror and there you find your face. Here you look at the mirror of relations, you look at life as it is happening, and you come across the illusion of an identity present, that separates itself from Life. When you come across the illusion, the illusion ends.

The illusion is the presence of the "person," it is the presence of the "I." If it vanishes, now the space is the presence of the Truth, the space is the presence of the Mystery, of the Unknown, it is the presence of God. All this thought present in us, that comes from the past, that comes from a set of beliefs, of learning, in this so-called spirituality, is a mistake.

I refer to this knowledge, this thought that supports all this belief, that sustains and reinforces this separation between you and God. As if there were really something there, somewhere, to be found at some moment, from meditation practices or techniques, or from some form of spirituality, some model of practice, of search for exercises, so-called spiritual, for esoteric, mystical experiences.

Reality is different. Reality is that the Truth of God is the Truth of this moment, when the "I" is not present, when the "ego" is not present, when Meditation Blooms. Here is the encounter with the Truth of this Being, in the absence of the "I."

So, what do we need? We only need to be conscious, be aware of how the mind happens, of how thought processes itself. How do you become aware of the presence of a tree? By approaching it, looking at it, seeing the details, the branches, the leaves, the fruits. Looking at that tree, becoming aware of its presence, having an intimacy with the contact with it in this observing. It is only observing. The simple and direct observing reveals the details.

So, how do we approach ourselves? We approach ourselves by looking. In the same way that by looking at that tree you don't want to change anything, you just want to be aware of what it represents, of the beauty of that moment, of that encounter, here the same happens. You just look at these reactions that arise, at the thoughts, at the feelings, at the sensations.

When you are talking with someone, become aware of the gestures, of the tone of voice present in you, present in the other. You are not going to change, you don't wish to change, you just become aware, look, observe, become entirely conscious of that moment, of that instant, of that appearance. Then, in that moment, you are in front of a mirror. Then the comprehension of how the mind works occurs.

The comprehension of the mind, the comprehension of the gestures, of the tone of voice, of the feeling, of the gesturing, of perceiving all the movement present in that moment is the encounter with this mirror. Then, the truth of what you are reveals itself. It's not about something like the idea of who you should be, how you should be, or how you would be. You are before Life, before the revelation of what you are.

So, this moment reveals the non-separation of the totality of this encounter, of this moment. Then, Something new arises in this non-separation between you and the present moment, and everything that reveals itself there: it is the presence of Advaita.

The word "Advaita" comes from the Vedas, from Vedanta, from Advaita Vedanta. The word "Advaita" means non-duality, non-separation. Therefore, an encounter with the present moment is an encounter with Life as it happens. The encounter with Life as it happens is Advaita, it is non-separation, non-duality. Then, in it Something is revealed beyond the "I," beyond the "ego," beyond the egoic mind.

Thus, learning about Self-awareness, here, is the moment of the Revelation of this Being, it is the presence of Meditation. Then, That which is beyond the known reveals itself. This is the answer to the question "how to find God?" God is the Reality of the moment when the "I" is not present, when the "ego" is not present.

The very verification of the present moment, whatever is revealing itself here, at the level of separation, of duality, of egocentric model, at this moment it dissolves. It is the power of this Awareness of the present moment. It is the power of the presence of Meditation.

Therefore, Meditation is now, it's not in a reserved place, there, cross-legged, repeating a mantra, breathing in a certain way. You are here, talking to someone, driving your car, or engaged in some intellectual, professional activity.

The encounter with this moment, in this looking, without interfering, without getting involved, the very vision of the Reality of the moment, operates a deep change, a deep transformation, because the sense of the "I," this sensor, this experiencer, this thinker, doesn't enter. It's when, at this moment, the brain becomes quiet, the space that was before occupied with unconsciousness, with all this mechanics of psychological conditioning, is no longer present. It is a new space now. There is a space present, and in this new space the Awareness of God reveals itself, the Awareness of your Being.

We need, in life, to discover what Meditation is, what Real Meditation is. We need, in life, to become aware of this art, also, of learning about ourselves, because it is exactly this presence, it is this awareness, it is this space that reveals the Reality of God.

Life in God is the Life free from this duality, from this sense of "I" and "not I." When we have the end for the "I," for this ego-identity, we have the Revelation of Life, of the Real Divine Life, of the Real Life of God.

The meetings we have here on weekends, Saturdays and Sundays-two days in an online format-have this purpose: to work this with you. Besides these meetings, we have in-person meetings and also retreats, that happen at some times of the year.

Our online meetings, you have here, in the video description, the WhatsApp link to join them. So, here is an invitation for you. If what you've just heard is something that makes any sense to you, here is already an invitation. Go ahead, leave your "like," subscribe to the channel and write in the comments: "Yes, it makes sense." OK? And we'll see each other. Thanks for the meeting and see you next time!

Social anxiety. You and self-image. The end of self-image. What is thought? Anxiety and fear.

Have we ever investigated this? Have we ever really approached this to, for example, investigate this issue of anxiety and fear, this so-called social anxiety? Why is there always some level of fear, shyness, insecurity in our relationships? The truth about this is that, psychologically, we are functioning based on a mental representation of who we are and who he or she is to me.

The great truth about this is that you and this mental representation, which is this self-image, are very intimate. We can say this very clearly here, and when investigated, this will be clearly comprehended, the fact that you are the self-image. Only when there is the end of the self-image, we have the end of this condition, of this internal psychological condition; it takes place within us, and as everything that we are internally expresses itself, within our relations this form of fear is present, this form of social withdrawal, of social interaction withdrawal.

Our internal condition in this sense of the person, in this sense of the "me," of the "I," is one of suffering. Comprehending the truth about ourselves is going beyond this psychological condition of egoic conditioning, of mental conditioning. And that is what we are here for with you, investigating, deepening this comprehension. The element that creates this entire internal condition of contradiction, of conflict, of disorder and, naturally, of suffering within us is the presence of thought.

It is the thoughts present in you that are telling you things about who the other person is, about who you are, and about what life represents. You would not have the slightest chance of recognizing me without having seen me before, you would not have the slightest chance of knowing my name if I had not told you. When you meet someone, at that moment, you register the image, their face, and you also register their name; this is now part of your memory, part of your remembrance - you have a mental representation of them, they have a mental representation of you. When you meet each other, this encounter is not a meeting separate from the image you have of them and that they have of you; there is no separation between these images, they meet each other.

Is there a way to get closer to the other person without the psychological image of him or her? Yes, we need the image of their face, the remembrance of their name, but here I am referring to the psychological image that I have of him, of her. In our interactions with people, what we have done, and we have done this because of the presence of a lack of attention to our experiences... It is in this lack of attention to our experiences that we cultivate pleasure and pain in them.

In all relationships we have pleasant moments and also bad ones, moments of pleasure and moments of pain, and we are constantly recording all of this for future contacts. In these future contacts, in these new contacts, we are always bringing this past experience into these relations. When you meet someone, they are never the same person, they have already changed - you have already changed and they have already changed. But when you meet each other, you meet based on the experience you have stored of each other. In this contact, we are faced with a mistake, an illusory relation. I have called this illusory relation a relationship.

You have been with someone for five, fifteen or twenty years, your certainty is that you know him or her. In fact, what you have of him or her are all of these experiences stored within you, in this self-image that you have of yourself. This accumulation of images that you have of them is based on this self-image, which is the image that you have of who you are. When you meet him or her, your response is the response of the past. This is how our contacts are, this is how our relations are, which, in reality, does not represent the truth of the relation, it represents the truth of the relationship between images, between beliefs, in this liking and disliking, in this wanting and not wanting. So, the presence of fear, contradiction, conflict and suffering in this interaction is inevitable.

This is how we go about our days, living an entire life alongside someone without knowing, without knowing them, because we do not know ourselves either. If you don't know the truth about yourself, you won't free yourself from this self-image either - the image you've built about who you believe you are. When someone upsets you, they're upsetting the image; when someone makes you sad, they're saddening the image; when someone compliments you, they're complimenting the image. And the only thing you have about who you are is this self-image. This is the condition of ignorance in which we live in the ego, as people.

Is it possible to discover a life free from this self-image? What will life be like free from the ego, free from the "I," free from this "me"? This requires looking at what's happening to us right now, at this moment. It requires a deep comprehension of our reactions when we're challenged to respond based on this memory, this remembrance, this image. Then, yes, we can free ourselves from anxiety, we can free ourselves from fear.

A contact with the other, when it's real, in the truth of the relation - not in the relationship, but in the truth of the relation - there is no fear. So, this social anxiety no longer exists when you comprehend the Truth about yourself, when you free yourself from this mental representation that you carry of others, that you carry of life, that you carry of yourself, the idea of ??someone. It is the presence of this idea of ??being someone, it is the way in which thought is establishing in you this mental construct that is sustaining fear. It is something typical of the ego, it is something typical of the "I."

We need to approach life without the past, without these memories and remembrances of everything we have lived with him or her, so that we can, in fact, have contact with him or her without the image of him or her, as well as of ourselves. This is Liberation in this life, this is the end of self-image, this is the end of the "I," this is the end of the ego. The question is: how does this become possible? By having a comprehension of what thought is, what place thought has in your life and what place it should not occupy. It cannot occupy this space, which is the space of stillness, which is the space of silence, the space where the mind is free from the past, from this continuation of repetition of psychological thought pattern.

It is this psychological thought that we need to free ourselves from. Then, there will be a space of stillness, of silence. A space opens up in you for this vision of life as it happens here and now, in this instant, without the past. As long as we are carrying this mind trapped in this old pattern of repetition of thought, of continuation of thought, of occupation with thoughts, we will be cultivating this self-image, sustaining this image that I have of him or her. This happens because we do not know how to look at thought.

What is the truth about thought? What is thought? Thought is this memory that comes from the past. When you learn to deal with him or her, bringing Attention, at that moment, to thought when it arises, the feeling when it appears, whatever is arising in that contact, when this is seen from that look in Attention - Attention is the presence of a look free from the past -, when we look and in that look there is only the presence of the look, without that identity in the look, which comes from the past, there is no record, there is no image, there is no continuity of that pattern of psychological thought within relation.

We do not know how to look without the "I," look without the ego, look without self-image. We need to discover how this happens, how this, at that moment, becomes possible, and it becomes possible when you discover what it is to look, just to look. The thing is that we are constantly looking to agree or disagree, to like or dislike. When someone compliments you, at that moment, who does it affect? This self-image! So, at that moment, this "I," this ego, this self-image feels flattered; but when it is criticized, it also feels touched by irritation, anger, frustration, revolt. This is the presence of fear, this is the presence of anxiety.

When you bring Attention at this instant to look, in this moment, in this gaze, this sense of observer disappears, this experiencer disappears, this thinker disappears, this self-image disappears; and this requires the presence of Self-awareness, this gaze free from the "I," free from this "me," free from the past. Therefore, we need to learn the truth of this approach to this instant, this present moment, without conclusions, evaluations, imaginations, ideas about what this moment represents, about who he is, about who she is, about who I am. This requires a quiet, silent brain, a mind free of thoughts, evaluations, comparisons, and judgments.

The fundamental element that makes this vision of Self-awareness possible is the presence of this Attention on how the mind is happening here and now, for each of us. This is what we are here, with you, deepening, working on. A life free from the past is a life free from the model of psychological thought, from this form of thought that constructs this identity, that constructs this self-image, which is this sense of the present "I." Therefore, in our meetings here, we are, with you, becoming aware of this, how to bring to this moment the presence of this Attention, this Full Attention to our reactions, to go beyond this self-image, to the direct comprehension of life here and now, free from the "I," free from this "me," free from this person.

Here, in these online meetings on our weekends - we have two days together: Saturday and Sunday - we are, with you, delving deeper into this subject. Here, in the video description, you can find our WhatsApp link to participate in these online meetings on the weekends. In addition to these meetings, we have in-person meetings and also retreats. If this is something that makes sense to you, here is an invitation. Leave your "like," subscribe to the channel and leave here in the comments: "Yes, that makes sense." Ok? And we'll see you. Thanks for the meeting and see you soon!

Mental health | You and self-Image | The end of self-Image | What is thought? | What is thinking?

Here, there is something that may seem very challenging for each one of us. Maybe we even underestimate it, but listen carefully: our great challenge in life is, as human beings, to remain internally, psychologically, with mental health.

Our psychological formation, what we receive in terms of formation from this life context, from the cradle to the grave, is the learning of continuity, of the permanence of the illusion of an identity present here in life, in this moment, in the experience of living. Notice, just hearing this already sounds very strange to most of us, because we are sure, absolutely sure, that we exist as someone in life.

What we take as a person, as this "me," as this "I," being the person we are, that we believe we are, that we demonstrate to be - to us this is very real, and yet, we are only in an imaginary movement of thought - and we are not aware of it. The person present, this sense of someone I am, who came from the past and is going to the future, psychologically does not exist, it is not real.

What we have here as being you is the image, the self-image of this consciousness, of this self-consciousness, something established in us by thought: this is the person; and the presence of this person - it's strange to hear this - is imaginary. This sense of "I" is a movement of self-image. Therefore, you are the self-image.

There is no "you" separate from the self-image. You and the self-image are one single element; an abstract element, an imaginary element, and yet a very active one, which is moving in life based on criteria validated by this psychological structure, which is the structure of thought, feeling, emotion, and sensation.

This is the life of the ego, this is the life of the person. A life, by the way, that is particular; it is apart, it is separate from Life itself as it happens, however, it interacts with Life from memory, which is thought.

An encounter with the Reality of Life is the end of the self-image. The end of the self-image is the encounter with Life. That is the real encounter with God, the real encounter with Truth, with Freedom, with Happiness, with Love. We have the truth about who we are in the idea of being, and we have the Truth about us in line with Life as it happens. We are facing two very distinct situations.

Our work together, our effort here, is to investigate this, to be fully aware of this, of how we are happening in life; and we are happening in thought, as people. "I love you, but I can also hate you." "I am your friend, but I can become, at any moment, an enemy - and a very dangerous one." "I feel happy at this moment, and in the next moment I can be sad, depressed, anguished, worried, or angry, or jealous, or afraid."

These various psychic states or conditions in us are present due to the presence of the person, due to the presence of this entity that sees itself as apart, that sees itself as separate from the experience when the experience is present. It is part of life as we know it - anguish, sadness, worry, fear, anger, jealousy, envy - but it is part of life in this structure, which is the structure of the "I," which is the life of the self-image. The presence of all this is the absence of sanity, of mental health.

We need a free, healthy, clear, lucid, real mind that knows how to deal with thoughts, and it requires the presence of the comprehension of thought - that is a playlist also here on the channel. All these subjects here are placed in playlists. "What is thought?" The answers we give to people when they ask us questions are answers born from thought. The way we interact with them, we interact from thought. What we feel about them comes from thought.

The presence of thought is evident in everything, in life, in relationships, in experience. The relation, life and experience as we know them, as we recognize them - there lies the presence of thought. So, what is thought? Thought is something that comes from the past, it is something that is born and is the result of acquired knowledge, of lived experience.

Experience and knowledge form thought, which is memory, image, remembrance. By acquiring knowledge, you acquire memory, remembrance. By acquiring knowledge, you acquire experience, know-how, science of that: this is the presence of thought.

Our contact with people, with ourselves, with emotions within us, as well as feelings and sensations, has the explanation, the justification, the representation of memory, which is thought. And we are living in thought. Thought has taken over this whole place in our lives, and here we are questioning this, we are asking if we can, in life, know this sanity, this psychological health, what it represents, at this moment, to deal with the present moment free of thought.

Yes, because thought is needed at times; in reality, in very few moments, because most of the time, during the day, during our hours, in the relation with life as it happens, the presence of thought is the problem, the presence of thought is the element of separation, because it enters with opinions, with judgments, with evaluations, it enters from images it is producing in its imagination within these relations. And when this is present, suffering is present, emotional disorder, the conflict that thought produces within relationships. It is thought that shows us friends, it is thought that shows us enemies; but there is no separation between it and this "me," and this "I."

The person you are is thought. The idea of someone present in the relation with him or her is the image that thought established in this brain. So, this brain there carries the image about who you are; this image is an imagination, it is an action of image that is within these relations.

Here, for example, in human relations, we do not need the presence of this quality of thought, which is psychological thought, which is imaginary thought, which is the thought that distorts, that judges, evaluates, gives opinions, believes, disbelieves in itself, and in the other. An evaluation of life based on beliefs, opinions, ideas - this is within this model of conditioned mind, of egoic mind.

Can we discover life happening at this instant through thinking? Thinking, just like acting and feeling, dispenses with the presence of self-image, once this self-image is an imaginary structure of an identity that is present. This imaginary entity present is the "I." It is the "I" that thinks, it is the "I" that feels, it is the "I" that acts, and all this activity from this "I" is the generator of problems, produces confusion, disorder, it renforces suffering - suffering for oneself and suffering for the other.

That is how thought is functioning, psychologically, in our brains. That is the condition of the absence of health. Can we discover life at this instant, free of thought? We need technical, objective, and practical thought to deal with very simple matters, like the memory of getting a glass of water from the fridge - that requires the presence of thought. If you don't know the address of the water in your house, to drink it, something is wrong with your brain. That is the presence of thought functioning in a precise, technical, practical way.

If you don't know your home address, don't have the memory of where you live, your brain is not functioning well. At that level, thought is needed, but we don't need thought to like people or not like them. This liking or not liking has as its principle a model present in us of mental disorder, of the absence of freedom and internal health - this is the presence of the ego, it is the presence of the "I."

It is the ego that separates, it is the ego that divides, it is the ego that loves or hates, it is the ego that likes or doesn't like, it is the ego that clings, attaches, grabs on and says it loves, controls, possesses and is jealous of that - of that object or that person. It is exactly that - the model of psychological thought in this self-image; and this is the ego, which also, from this "love" - because that's what we call it, this attachment, this possession, control, dependence, this neediness of the other - this same "I," this same ego, this self-image, when it feels betrayed, rejected, this state changes, it is no longer love. Now it's anger, resentment, grudge, it becomes aggressive, violent.

Actually, this is the psychological condition of the ego: it lives in thought and in the model of pleasure and pain. It calls pleasure love, and pain has many names: it calls it anger, hatred, rejection. We are always, psychologically, trapped in classifications, in namings, and the basis, the principle, is the model of sensation - of the sensation of pleasure or pain. Here we are together being aware of the end of this psychological condition of ego-identity. Then Something beyond this "me," beyond this model of thought, of this psychological condition, which is the condition of the "I," reveals itself.

Thus, we need to discover Life free from the ego, free from this self-image, free from this psychological condition of disorder. So, a new brain, a new mind, a new view of this instant, a new view of this body and this mind, and also of the other and of life as it happens - this is the Awakening of Consciousness. And thus, we come across Freedom, Love, Happiness, when the "I" is not present, when this self-image is no longer present.

These meetings we have here on weekends, Saturdays and Sundays, have this purpose: to discover Life as it happens, in this Real Awareness that Reveals the Divine Truth, which is Meditation. You have here, in the video description, our WhatsApp link for these online meetings on weekends. It's two days together: Saturday and Sunday. Besides these, we have in-person meetings and also retreats. I want to leave an invitation here for you. If this is something that makes any sense to you, leave your "like," subscribe to the channel and write here in the comments: "Yes, this makes sense." Ok? See you next time. Thanks for the meeting, and see you soon!

Anxiety and fear of dying. How to find God? Meditation: what is it? Learning about Self-Awareness.

I want to touch with you here on this concern about the fear of dying. Some people complain about anxiety and fear of death. So, what is behind this anxiety and fear of dying?

There is something here to be seen, and what we need to see is the need to know ourselves, to know our relation with the world of thoughts, with the world of ideas, and also with people, with the life around us and, above all, especially, this relation we have with what we possess, with what is under our power, under our control.

What is behind this anxiety? What is behind this fear? The great truth is that the presence of fear, especially the fear of death, involves our mistaken relation with known things, with what we know and with what we control or believe we control.

The truth about the fear present in us is something that is directly related to the way in which thought happens within us, how it is processed inside each one of us, because thought is part of the world of our ideas. It is thought that is part of what we have in contact with people in our relations. Thought is also part of the interpretation or evaluation we make of our relations with situations.

Thus, the presence of fear is part of the presence of thought. If there were no thought, there would be no fear. We have a relation with objects that are our objects, with situations that are our situations. Our relation with all of this is, in general, the relation based on thought.

We, as human beings, are living in thought, and it is thought that is producing in us anxiety, worry, suffering, conflict, and fear. Without the presence of thought about what we have, about what we can lose, without any thought about this, there is no fear. It is the presence of thought about what we control or wish to control that causes us anxiety.

We need, in life, the Truth about ourselves, the direct awareness of what we are in the context of these relations - these relations with ideas, people, situations, objects, and particular, personal activities we believe we control. It is here that this sense of "I," of "ego," resides.

That's why we are here with you investigating this learning about Self-awareness, to come face to face with the Freedom of a mind free from contradictions, conflicts, and problems. This is the presence of the mind that has the answer to the question: what is Meditation? It is the awareness of Meditation, it is the Truth about Meditation, the Freedom of this comprehension of the Truth about who we are in life.

Human beings need to be aware of the Reality of their Being, of the Reality present in life, beyond what thought places as life. Our particular worldview comes from thought. So, all the relations we have are related to the model of thought that is present. However, the presence of thought in us is a movement of the past present in each of us. Yes, it is the past present in each of us.

Every relation you have with the world around you or with the world inside you, which is this world of ideas, feelings, emotions, every relation we have with the world, whether external or internal, is our mistaken relation with the past, with the model of thought that is present here.

We are not in real contact with life as it truly is, we are in contact with thought about life, with thought about people, with thought about situations, with thought about objects that we believe are ours. The particular life of the "I," the particular life of the "ego" is the presence of suffering, because it is the presence of this psychological condition, not only of fear, but of all these psychological states we have known for a long time.

There are countless names for these internal states of afflictions, contradictions, conflicts within each of us, and all of this is happening because we are living in thought. Our life is a mental life, not a real life. We are living a life that thought has built, that thought has established.

Thus, what we feel about who we are is something that is the presence of memory, it is the presence of what thought has established as an image that we have about who we are and about what the world is. Therefore, we are living within an abstraction, a model of the world built by thought.

To learn about who we are, to discover the truth about the "I," about the "ego," about this center, is to approach life by discovering the most important thing in life, which is the beauty of this encounter with Life as it truly is, free from thought. It is because we are living in thought that suffering, fear, ignorance, and illusion are present.

A life free from thought is the presence of Meditation. Therefore, the Truth that Reveals the Beauty of Life, the Truth about Life-I refer to the Divine Reality, the Reality of God. For those who ask "how to find God," here is the answer: you will not find Him out there, you will find Him within yourself.

It is the very awareness of the Truth about yourself that discards the illusion of the person you believe to be. It is here that That which is unspeakable, indescribable, is revealed, which is the very Divine Presence, which is the very Presence of God. What is the encounter with God? It is the verification. It is not something to be achieved, something out there to be seen. It is not an image that thought has established within you about this Divine Reality, which we call God.

It is not an encounter, it is a verification of Life here, at this present moment, when thought is not present, when it is no longer establishing this mistaken relation. Observe that the relation you have with people is relation in thought. That is all you can have of people, it is the knowledge you have of them. The knowledge you have of them is the memory or recollection of moments you lived with him or her.

Observe that it is a picture of the past. It is not what you have of them now, it is what thought has established in you about them, something that comes from the past, and that has no relation with Life here, in this present moment. So it is also with this issue of death. You do not have the truth of death, you have the idea about death.

No human being is afraid of death here and now, in this exact second. The fear of death that the human being has requires the presence of the future, and the future is nothing more than the thought about tomorrow. In life, the future is unknown; in the mind, all that thought knows is the past, the idea of the present, and the imagination of the future.

Therefore, there is no future here and now, there is no future in life. The future is part of what thought has established, of what thought has built around this center. This center is the image you have about who you are. You have friends, you have enemies, therefore, you are the presence of thought.

Every idea about you is thought. Without any idea about you, you know nothing. You know nothing about yourself unless you have an idea, an image, a memory, or a remembrance. We need to discover life by revealing at this moment this Awareness of God; we need to discover the Beauty of the moment being revealed when Meditation is present.

And Meditation is something that is present here, when we put Attention on all this movement of thought that arises in us, that comes from the past. The movement only arises due to a reaction of memory. Once we are present here, aware here of every reaction of memory, of thought, something that comes from the past, at this moment Something new is Revealed, because we do not place in this awareness, in this presence, the illusion of an entity in this experience.

We need to discover Life without the thinker, without the experiencer, without the "I." Then there will be no fear, because there will be no thought. There will be no presence of the future for someone. If there is no future for someone, there is no one to die. It is the idea of existing as someone losing the things they have, the power and control they exert over these things, it is here that fear is present.

It is the fear of losing what you have, it is not possessing the power to be someone in these things that is the presence of fear. That is why we need to comprehend the Truth of these relations. It is the comprehension of the truth about these relations that is the vision about Self-awareness and the discarding of this thinker.

Thus, with the presence of Self-awareness, we have the Truth of Meditation; and with the presence of Meditation, the Revelation of That which is present, which is beyond the "I," beyond the "ego," beyond thought. It is because we are living exactly in the model of the "I," which is the model of thought, in the idea of someone having relations with people, with situations, with material possessions, with the control of things, that fear is present. It is something present in the illusion of this identity, of this false center, of this "me," because the Reality of this Being is the Reality of Life, it is the Reality of God.

The verification of the Truth about You, of the awareness of this Being, beyond the "I," is the Revelation, it is the answer in this encounter, in this verification of the Truth of God. Thus, all we need in life is the presence of Self-awareness and the awareness of Meditation, for this "encounter," for this verification of the Truth of God. Then we have the end of suffering. Not only the end of anxiety and the fear of dying, but the end of every form of psychological suffering.

This is what we are working on with you here. We have two days, Saturday and Sunday; two days in online meetings. I want to leave an invitation for you here. In addition to these, we also have in-person meetings and retreats. If what you've just heard is something that makes sense to you, here is an invitation. Go ahead and leave your "like," subscribe to the channel, and write in the comments: "Yes, it makes sense." Okay? And we'll see each other. Thanks for the meeting and see you next time!

How to find God? | Meditation: what is it? | Learning about Self-Awareness | Mindfulness Technique

There's something we've been emphasizing with you: It's the way we should approach these subjects we're discussing here with you. Here we are together studying ourselves, something that involves learning about Self-awareness. And this requires a new way of looking at our experiences, at what we are living, how our life is unfolding, how each feeling, thought, emotion, sensation is processed within us, how our actions are processed within us, what drives them, what the motives are, what lies behind the action, as well as a present thought or sensation or a feeling. This is the true way to approach it.

Therefore, when someone uses the expression "mindfulness technique," it seems to me that they haven't quite comprehended that we are dealing with something that requires an encounter with the moment. Every technique presupposes prior knowledge; first you acquire the knowledge, you acquire the skill: the knowledge, the skill, and the practice of the technique. The presence of attention on this moment, on this instant, does not require technique, it requires interest. When we face something as natural as observation, it doesn't require technique.

When something interests you, you observe, you give your mind and your heart, because your interest is there-it's a simple and direct interest. Then, there's this enthusiasm, this gaze, this quality of approach, and this doesn't require technique. Thus, this attention to our reactions, to what happens within us, and externally, in our actions, words, gestures, this doesn't require technique, it requires interest, the enthusiasm to observe, to become aware of ourselves.

Therefore, when people use the expression "technique" for this mindfulness, they haven't quite comprehended what this attention is. The presence of an alert mind, aware of its reactions, is Mindfulness. This alert mind is due to this interest in looking, this joy of observing, this enthusiasm for seeing. The presence of a technique is the presence of an exercise that is learned, and everything we learn is part of memorized knowledge-so are techniques. And every exercise is part of mechanical learning.

The presence of attention is not a technique, it's not an exercise, it's not something mechanical. Therefore, we need to learn about ourselves, because that's what gives us an approach to the Truth about Life. This contact with Truth requires a mind free from all its old behavioral patterns. Look at yourself, how your mind works. Observe your inclinations, your intentions, motivations, desires.

It's very common for this inclination of the mind, this mind programmed to move in this way, which is the conditioned mind, to be looking outward, involved with its own interests; these interests are egocentric, personal, private, and this is a complete absence of attention. It is in this inattention that this quality of mind, this quality of life, is present, and this puts us in a condition of alienation from the Truth about Life and, therefore, from the Reality of Truth.

What is this encounter with Truth? It is the encounter with the Divine, it is the encounter with God. When you ask "How to find God", realize: the comprehension of Truth is this encounter with God. But Truth is not seen, comprehended, or learned intellectually. It is not the result of an exercise, a practice, or a mechanical pattern of behavior. Thus, we discard this idea, we discard this form of searching through technique. We approach it through the genuine interest of looking, observing, and becoming aware of how we function.

At every instant you encounter Life as it happens; at every moment you have the opportunity for this encounter with God. You see God as something separate from you, distant, somewhere else. Reality, Truth, God is That which is present here when this conditioned mind model no longer exists, this way of looking at life from the past, something in this background of conditioning, in this pattern of behavior of the mind trapped in the model of memory, knowledge, and experience. This is conditioning.

We need a free mind, and this free mind is born from this attention, this gaze, this Mindfulness for this instant, for this moment. It is when this entire model of personal consciousness, in this conditioned mind, is seen and discarded. This is the presence of Meditation. Once again, the presence of Meditation, as well as this Mindfulness. In general, people separate meditation from mindfulness. The presence of Self-awareness brings this attention, this quality of seeing. In this quality of perception of life, there is the presence of Meditation.

Therefore, there is no separation between Mindfulness, Self-awareness, and Meditation. What is known as mindfulness, without Self-awareness, is not real. What is seen as technical meditation or meditation practice, without Self-awareness, is not Real Meditation. When there is the presence of Meditation, there is no one in the technique, there is no "I." The truth about Meditation is the comprehension of the one who meditates, of the one who makes use of some technique, of some practice.

This element that makes use of technique, practice, or that engages with some model of effort to achieve something, to obtain something, this element is a construct of thought. It is the appearance of thought, in this pronoun "I," and here the idea of ??someone in the exercise, in the practice, or in the effort is present. When thought dissolves, this thinker is no longer present.

Therefore, the Truth about Meditation, what is Meditation? Meditation, what is it? It is the awareness of Life, it is the vision of Truth that is present here, when the model of thought, the model of the "I," of this "me," of this ego-identity, no longer exists. Your real contact with Life is the contact of this awareness of Being with the Reality of the moment. Thus, Meditation is when this Self, which is the Nature of Truth about You, which is the Divine Truth present, when it Flourishes, there comes the presence of Meditation. It is not someone in Meditation; it is Meditation when this "I" does not exist.

Therefore, we must completely discard the idea of ??someone in the exercise, in the practice or technique, just as we must discard the illusion of someone to find God. In the question "How to find God?", it is God or Truth, it is Reality, it is that which is present here, which is the Supreme, revealing itself, this encounter with God. It is not someone having an encounter, it is the Reality of God revealing itself, it is Truth revealing itself. This requires a mind free from the past, free from conditioning, free from the way we currently deal, in thought, with life, with situations, with events, with others.

Note that the way we deal with others is in the format of an encounter between people. For us, the idea of ??someone there and someone here is quite reasonable. Therefore, our thinking, in relation to others, is the idea of ??people meeting each other, the "person I am" having an encounter with "the person you are." Reality, Truth, God, is That which is present here, being the Truth about Life, the Reality about this moment. Therefore, there are no people, as we believe, having encounters.

In conditioned thinking, in this format of personal, egocentric consciousness, which is something within a context of alienation, ignorance, and illusion, we are constantly sustaining this format. Therefore, what is this real encounter, what is Meditation? What is the truth of this learning about ourselves? The expression "self-awareness" has been misunderstood in a very misguided way. Generally, self-awareness is understood as someone knowing themselves. However, if you investigate the nature of the "I," of this "person," it becomes clear that this "I" does not exist, this "person" is not real.

Therefore, it's not about someone knowing themselves. When there is Self-awareness, what is present is the awareness of Life. The Reality about Life is the Truth of this Being, and there is no person, the "I" does not exist. Thus, when we enter into this investigation of the truth about ourselves, what is revealed is as God revealing Himself, and not as a person being understood, comprehended, improving, perfecting themselves, acquiring a technique to improve as a person. Yes, because, in general, that is what is understood by self-awareness. Here we present this expression in a different way.

Self-comprehension is the end of illusion of someone; it is the perception of Silence, of Freedom, of the Bliss of Being. This is what we are insisting on with you here, this is what we are working on with you. Perceiving the Reality of the moment, becoming aware of the Truth about Life is seeing the Truth that Life is here as it is, not as thought idealizes, conceptualizes, believes, or imagines it. You were born to assume, in this life, the Truth that this Life is the only Life. It is not the life of a person, it is Life as it is. And as it is, there is the Reality of the Divine, the Reality of God.

There is no separation between what you are and Life at this instant, and the Reality of God at this moment-??that is the other. When we no longer have this illusion of the person, of this "I," of this separation, there is the presence of Truth. Once It is present, Bliss is present, Love is present, Peace is present. That's what we're working on with you in these online weekend meetings, where we're together Saturday and Sunday, two days online.

Atma Vichara | How to find God? | Meditation: What is it? | Learning about Self-Awareness

Here, when we are faced with life, we are faced with a movement, and we do not know the origin of this movement. The foundation, the structure, the nature, the basis of this movement, this is something unknown to all of us.

Here, together, we are investigating the truth about ourselves. All of our effort here is directed toward learning about Self-awareness. It is through this learning that the movement of life reveals itself, this mysterious movement that we do not know. Self-discovery is the key to seeing Life as it is truly unfolding, it is when we become aware of the movement.

The wise sage Ramana Maharshi left us an expression, and that expression is Atma Vichara. Atma Vichara, in English, would be self-observation, or self-inquiry, or self-investigation. We approach life when we approach ourselves, through this self-discovery. This direct look, into what we are, requires the presence of Meditation.

When people ask, "Meditation, what is it? What is Meditation?" They usually associate it with some technique or practice being performed. That's how people generally know or approach what is commonly referred to as meditation out there. Here, the Truth about Meditation is the approach to observing the movement of the "I," the "ego," and this requires the presence of Self-awareness, not a technique called self-awareness, or a technique called meditation.

Here, our emphasis is on discovering the truth of this movement. After all, what is it that is moving? What is the truth about this movement? So, all this movement we encounter in life, we are before a misunderstanding, a misconception, a mistaken way of perceiving, illusory and false, because we are living in our minds, living within a psychological internal condition that is illusory.

There's a short story of two monks who were having a discussion. They were looking at the temple flag-it was fluttering in the wind. One monk said to the other, "Note how the flag moves, how it flutters." The other asked, "What are you seeing?" He replied, "The flag, observe!" The second monk said, "No, there's no flag fluttering; what is moving is the wind, it's the wind that causes the movement, not the flag." One said the movement was of the flag, the other said it was of the wind.

After a few minutes, the Master approached and heard their discussion. At that moment, the Master asked, "What are you two talking about?" One of them, looking for the Master's agreement, said, "Master, note, the flag is moving! It's just the flag's movement." The other interrupted and said, "Master, notice, I've just explained to him, it's so obvious: it's the wind that moves, not the flag. It's the movement of the wind and not of the flag." At that moment, the Master looked at them both and said, "There is only one movement. It is not the movement of the flag, nor of the wind. There is one single movement present, and that movement is the movement of the mind." When the Master said that, they both fell silent and remained quiet.

Here, in life, there is only one movement, and this movement continues without being seen, comprehended, or clarified. We need to become aware of the truth about ourselves, the truth about the mind. It is the comprehension of the movement of the mind, the clear seeing of one single movement. Clarity about this movement is its end, because that is the end of the mind. Then, there is no longer a flag, no wind or mind.

There is a Reality present beyond movement. Thus, Life as it unfolds remains a mystery to us, one that thought tries to solve, that thought tries to decode, that thought tries to comprehend, but it cannot. Here, together, we are with you, investigating the truth about the mind.

What is the truth about Meditation? What is Meditation? Meditation is the encounter with the Truth of Life as it is revealed, without any thought about it, any idea, concept, or belief about it. It is the end of the movement of the known, the end of the movement of thought, the end of the movement of the mind, it is the vision of Life as it is happening. Therefore, self-observation is the beauty of this encounter with the present moment looking into its movement, toward the end of this movement.

All movement, here and now, is the mistaken movement of the evaluation of the past, the evaluation of thought. The way you deal with others, the way you deal with yourself, the way you deal with the present moment, with arising experiences, with everything that happens, when it comes from this movement, which is the movement of thought, it becomes problematic.

The presence of Divine Reality, the presence of God's Reality, is the absence of movement. Something new is present, it is no longer the movement of the mind, It is no longer the mistake, the illusion of what is external or of what appears to be internal, but which still remains illusory.

The encounter with the Truth of What You Are essentially, in your Being, in your True Nature, is the end of this internal, psychological, mistaken movement of identity present in thought, in the mind. The contact with Divine Reality, the answer to the question "How to find God?"-this is a very common question among those caught in the movement of life.

Yes, in fact, life consists of movement, or at least, life as we know it, as we recognize it, because we recognize and know through the past, through the movement of memory, which is the movement of thought itself. Therefore, what does this encounter with God mean for those who seek the encounter with the Truth?

The encounter with Divine Reality is the verification of what is present here, beyond the mind, therefore, beyond the movement of thought, beyond this internal psychological movement, and beyond any idea of something happening out there as movement. Just like in the story of the two monks, where the movement was external. When the Master approached, he pointed out where, in fact, the movement was.

Now, what is the truth about the movement? You gain the vision of the truth about the movement when you investigate yourself: that is the presence of Atma Vichara. Who am I? What is the truth about this feeling, emotion, sensation, or perception? In the ego, in this "I," in the mind, the tendency is always, invariably, to look at experience through the past. So, we are seeing the world through a colored lens, which is the lens of thought.

Your contact with people, your contact with situations, your contact with yourself, the various inner states you find yourself in, are not resolved because they are not seen through the light of this comprehension; they are not seen within this clarity and vision. The way we approach problems within ourselves, and also in the external world, is always through the movement of the mind, the movement of thought.

We don't know how to deal with resentment, hurt, sadness, anxiety, or depression. We don't know how to deal with fear. We don't know how to deal with thoughts. We don't know how to deal with the feelings that arise. We don't know how to deal with the other, with him or her. We don't know how to deal with incidents, accidents, and unexpected situations.

There is an unresolved internal condition within us, which always shows up as an unsolved problem, as an unfinished problem: it is the presence of the mind as it is, as it functions. We don't comprehend the truth about ourselves because we don't study ourselves, we don't investigate ourselves.

So, what is this contact with Meditation? It is the approach to this moment, it is the looking into this moment, it is the perceiving of this moment without movement, without the mistaken movement, the conflicting movement, the result of memory, which is the presence of the movement of thought. Can we look at life without thought? Without the coloring of lenses, of these lenses, of this particular way of feeling, thinking, and acting? Then we are facing Life as it truly is, not as the mind makes us see, not as the mind makes us perceive. Then, a new space is present; this space is the space of the encounter with God, with Truth.

So, to the question, "How to find God?" Look at the movement, become aware of the movement, then we have the end of movement; Something indescribable is present, Something beyond words, beyond thoughts, beyond the particular view that thought makes us have, makes us perceive, specifically.

Your contact with life is Life revealing itself as this Divine Reality, when the sense of "I" is not present, when the sense of ego is not present. There is nothing more important in life than approaching it in a real way. An approach that becomes possible when there is self-investigation, when there is this learning about ourselves, when there is this new space that arises out of Silence and stillness, where there is no movement. This is the vision of Wisdom, the Vision of God, it is the vision of Truth, of What is present when the ego is not there.

This is what we are here, together, working on with you. We have online meetings on weekends, Saturdays and Sundays, where we go deeper into these issues with you, into this self-inquiry, this self-investigation. You'll find the link in the video description to join us for these online meetings every Saturday and Sunday. In addition, we also have in-person meetings and retreats. If what you've just heard resonates with you in any way, go ahead and leave a "like," subscribe to the channel, and comment: "Yes, it makes sense." Okay? See you soon. Thanks for this meeting, and see you next time.

Human suffering. You and self-image. The end of self-image. What is thought? What is thinking?

All this difficulty we have in dealing with human suffering, with this suffering within ourselves, is because our internal conditioned response to the presence of the experience of suffering is a response based on separation. We haven't learned to welcome life as it happens, and that prevents us from investigating the nature of suffering, the truth of suffering, what it actually is, what it represents at that moment.

Notice, it's not about learning something from suffering, but about discovering the truth of the element present in suffering, which is the "I." There is no real separation between the suffering and the one who suffers. However, our upbringing, our education, the way we've been taught, has been exactly that: that there is a separation between suffering and the one who suffers.

So, we already have a built-in conclusion, shaped by the model of thought we've inherited, that suffering is something to be rejected, not something to be seen, observed, investigated, and comprehended. Here, contact with the present moment must naturally be a contact of discovery, of verification, and that requires the presence of observation in order to learn about it.

We go through our entire lives experiencing suffering in different forms. When we lose a loved one to death, suffering is there; when we are rejected, suffering is there; when we don't get what we want, suffering is there; when fear is present, when anger is present, when worry is present... This is how we've been functioning.

We function in this mode: the mode of "someone" suffering. That's the shape, the model of the existence of the "I," the existence of the "person." And yet, we don't know how to deal with suffering, because we haven't learned the truth about it. The truth about suffering is that its presence requires the presence of the sufferer.

It's the way we deal with the experience that gives rise to an entity here at this instant, resisting life as it unfolds, resisting experiences as they arise, and then we have the presence of the sufferer. The one who suffers is suffering because of the image they've built about themselves, about what they deserve or don't deserve.

Our frustrations, disappointments, conflicts with people and situations are established in us due to the presence of this image, this self-image that thought has built within us about who we are - an image built by thought. Therefore, you, as someone present here, are this image.

You are this self-image, the person who sees itself rejected, unloved, the person who feels lost when lose someone it loves, the person who sees itself undeserving, the person who needed to succeed and didn't, the person who was abandoned, forgotten, the person whom others dislike, the person that people don't want to talk to. So, the image we've built about who we are separates us from the experience and puts us in this condition of suffering.

Can we eliminate internally, psychologically, within our minds, inside ourselves, this inner condition of self-image? Can we look at what we are without the defense of a self-image? Becoming aware of what is present at this moment, without trying to protect an image that thought has built? This is the real way to come into direct contact with suffering, with this learning about ourselves, which is learning about the one who suffers, about the one who is rejected, dismissed, unloved, who lost things, who was abandoned.

When we learn to look at ourselves without this psychological self-defense, without this idea of someone to be protected, defended, without the illusion of someone who doesn't deserve - learning to look at ourselves without self-compassion, without self-pity, without self-sorrow - when we learn to look at it, we eliminate this separation between the self-image and what is the cause of pain, the cause of conflict, the cause of suffering.

When there is no separation between this image, this self-image, and the suffering, we come into direct contact with the experience without the "I," without the experiencer, without the "ego," without this "me," without this self-image, because we've eliminated that space, that separation; and when that happens, we come to the end of suffering, because we come to the end of this self-image.

Your encounter with Life requires the absence of image and, therefore, the absence of thought. Notice how important this is! What is thought? Thought is this structure of psychological self-defense, of image. These are the images thought has been building, placing an identity present that separates itself from the experience. So, we need to discover life happening right here, without thought.

We do need functional, practical, technical thought to deal with very objective matters in life, like fixing a machine, finding someone's house from an address - that's the presence of thought - or remembering this or that person's name. Then, here is the presence of thought.

But we don't need the kind of thought that revolves around this self-image that produces attachments, desires, fears, self-compassion, self-pity, ambition, envy, the need to control, to possess, to cling, the kind of thought that creates emotional dependence, physical dependence, psychological dependence, the need to be accepted, to be loved as "someone," as a "person." That quality of thought is protecting the self-image, it places us in life within this illusion, the illusion of separation, the illusion of duality.

Then, that's the discarding of this model of thought, this element that comes from the past, which reinforces the illusion of ego-identity. This requires real contact with Life, a real response to Life. And here we're emphasizing with you the beauty of this encounter with action, with feeling, and also with thinking - the truth about thinking.

What is thinking? Thinking is an intelligent response to this moment, without the model of the past, without the model of thought. We know nothing about the importance of a real intelligent and free contact with the present moment, which requires the presence of action free from the "I," of feeling free from the "I," of thinking free from ego, free from self-image. And this is what we're exploring with you here, going deeper with you, discovering together.

The Reality of God, the Reality of Life, the Reality of this true Being is not this self-image, is not this "me," this "I," this "person." Can we meet life as it unfolds, without inserting the presence of a thinker, of an experiencer, of this element that comes from the past and looks at the world through its preferences, acceptances, and rejections? That's the real contact, lucid, true, intelligent; we are before Life as it really is, not as the "I," the "ego," this "me" wants, expects, or seeks.

Therefore, the Truth of Life is the Truth of That which is present when thought is no longer building stories around an identity it created. Your contact with people through this self-image, your contact with objects, with situations, with incidents, with accidents, all through this self-image, is a contact based on separation. So is present, this division between you and life as it happens; and in this division, a space of separation is created, and within that space, conflict is present, suffering is present, disorder is present.

Here, together, we are looking directly at all of this, so we can go beyond this illusion, investigating this matter of the "I," of this "me," of the "person." Life is Real when there is no longer this abstraction of an illusory identity that sees itself as separate from Life, making demands, making choices, seeking to reaffirm itself again and again and again.

This entire movement of the self-image, of this center, which is the "I," the "ego," is the movement of egocentric isolation; and if this is present, no matter what human beings may have achieved externally, that achievement is still within the illusion of an identity present, who believes it has achieved, that believes it can hold on, control, possess, and thus, there is no Love, there is no Peace, there is no Freedom, there is no Real Happiness, because the illusory sense of "someone" separate from life is still present.

There is no such "someone"! We are before Life; Life is this Divine Reality, and this Reality is the Truth of your Being, this Realization in this life is the Realization of God. That's what we're working on here with you in these online weekend meetings. It's two days together: Saturday and Sunday. I want to leave you this invitation. You'll find the WhatsApp link in the video description to join these meetings.

Besides these online meetings, we also have in-person meetings and retreats. If that's something that makes sense to you, here's your invitation. Go ahead, leave your "like," subscribe to the channel, and comment below: "Yes, this makes sense." Alright? See you soon. Thanks for being here, see you next time!

You and self-image. The end of self-image. What is thought? What is thinking? Real Consciousness.

The point is this: caught inside this routine - I mean this routine of the continuity of that pattern of thinking we have, that we know - in that continuity, it's almost impossible to live the truth of a healing for these internal patterns of psychic suffering that we have. We need to discover what it means to have a new contact with life that, at this instant, is present, appearing at this moment. Here with you, we have been discussing these issues.

There is a Truth present, and this Truth is Real Consciousness, the Reality of What You Are in your Divine Nature, in your True Nature. It remains unknown, and it's interesting for us to say this here to you: this Divine Reality Reveals Itself, but it doesn't Reveal Itself to be known by someone, which is this "I;" it Reveals Itself as Life itself in expression, in Revelation. In that self-revelation, we have the end of the egoic mind, the end of that self-image, as I have called it, which is the person.

You and the self-image: that's our topic here - among other topics. In a talk like this, we develop, with you, many themes. For example, here in this talk, we are working with you on the end of self-image, that self-image, which is the person, which is you. This is the presence of the mind, the known mind, the mind present in us. The presence of the mind is the presence of the past. We are living in the past, remaining in the past.

The persistence of the past is interesting. The persistence of the past is continuity; a continuity in a very particular, very special time, which is psychological time. As we grow older. The base structure of this consciousness, which is the consciousness of the person, of this "me," is that egoic mind; it lives inside a model of psychological time, so in parallel, we have time for the body. We age with the passing of years. So, we have this phenomenon, which is chronological time.

Parallel to that time, we have this time of the continuity of the psychological "I," of that ego-identity. Thus, there will never be a healing for that "I." What we need to investigate here is the truth about this. The fact is that, psychologically, internally, this egoic mind has no cure. We can become aware of the truth about this, and this awareness of Truth sets us free.

Liberation is not the cure. When you have patients, they can be treated and discharged. Then, they go home after the doctor discharges them. The ego is not a hospitalized patient being treated and waiting for discharge later. We are dealing with an element present that sustains itself in the imaginary world of thought, of creating ideas, opinions, beliefs, conditioning, response patterns, memory, recollection: this is the "I," this is the "ego." There is no cure for this condition.

Yes, Liberation from this state, this condition, this way of being is possible; it is when we have the end of the self-image, the end of this ego-identity. It's a supposed identity present and yet paradoxically, despite that, having a very particular and real life. Real, in reality, within its own terms, within its own stances.

We are living our days, aging in years, and at the same time, psychologically sustaining this repetition, this continuity, this routine of an internal psychological condition of suffering, contradiction, conflict, and disorder. The countless desires - many of them contradictory and conflicting - the countless forms of fears, something present in a relation with life, with events, with people, with the very thoughts that arise inside each one of us, here we have the presence of these diverse fears: that is the situation of the "I," the "ego," of the "self-image."

Thus, over the years, we grow older and the mind becomes less and less capable, smaller is the ability to look at the present moment without the past. So, we have a prisoner mind, centered on the past, without freedom. We are not dealing here with you with the issue of healing this "I," but rather the end of this ego-identity. Investigating that requires the presence of a new kind of perceiving.

What is thought? To perceive what thought is, is the foundation. Thought in us is the element present that is present because of the presence of the past; this past is the memory inside you, the psychological memory that hasn't been concluded. We can give you an example here of what thought is, because that's the question: "What is thought?"

When you treat me badly, you hurt my "I," my "ego," you hurt me. There's no separation between me and my ego, between that wound and what I am here, in this self-image. Therefore, you treated me badly, and that's this memory, this recollection that comes up as an image, a thought, and also a feeling and emotion of frustration, pain, revolt, anger I have toward you - that is the presence of thought.

We live inside thought, having this quality of unpleasant memory - we can extend this to many other forms of representations of emotional, psychological pain. But we also have pleasant, agreeable, delightful, happy memories, that this self-image also cultivates and sustains in us. That's how we live our days, maintaining this routine of the person's continuity.

This brain is addicted to living like this, cultivating this story, which is just memory, just recollection. We don't know how to die to this, allow it to dissolve, for a new brain, one that has freshness, this Freedom, this absence of psychological story, of psychological memory. Contact with thought at this moment, with the experience of this instant, when there's no record left, we have contact with the presence of thinking.

When you offend me, and at that moment there is full Attention on these reactions here, inside this body, this brain, when the offensive word arrives, the presence of this Attention on that reaction is the presence of a contact with the Awareness of Meditation, with the Truth of the Revelation of that reaction, and so I'm getting to know myself. It's not the knowledge of someone being aware of themselves to change like a person changes, it's not that.

Here it's about the Awareness of the Revelation of the "I" itself, and this requires the presence of an Intelligence, which here I have called "the truth of thinking." When we have Truth, Intelligence, we have the presence of thinking. It's not someone thinking, it's the presence of the Awareness of what thinking is.

So, what is thinking? Thinking is the awareness of looking with Intelligence at thought, without putting in thought the presence of the thinker. When we have the truth about how we function, we are free from thought, from feeling, from emotion, from sensation, from perception, because we are in direct contact with the Totality of Life, and not with the imagination of a particular identity, which is that self-image, which is that "I" consciousness.

Therefore, that's the contact with Real Awareness; it's not personal, it's not inside this time, which is the past, established in us by thought to draw conclusions, evaluations, to be hurt, offended, wounded, to have that self-image scratched. Are you with me? So, this requires a look at this moment, which is this look of perceiving.

We don't know how to perceive. There is no perception. The way we approach things inside is from someone perceiving. We are always putting a personal, particular, individualistic proposal inside life as it happens. So, we don't know how to perceive. To perceive what's happening doesn't require someone to make conclusions about it, to make choices, to compare, to judge.

When someone offends you, they only find you to offend you because there is no perception. If at this moment perceiving is present, that perceiving is Attention; Attention on that thought that arises inside, the feeling that appears. The image itself is part of that particular world view that resists, that fights, and so it gets offended, it gets hurt. The presence of that perceiving is the presence of that Attention, free from the past.

When we touch here, with you, on the Beauty of this encounter with Meditation, we are not presenting Meditation as a therapeutic technique, as something to heal you from the ego. Meditation is the vision of the Reality of Life as it happens, it is the Truth that Liberates. I repeat: it is not the healing of that psychological disorder that is the presence of the ego mind. It is Liberation, it is Freedom from the illusion of that self-image, that ego-identity - the presence of Meditation.

When the mind is purged, emptied, freed from that psychological content of conditioning, history, memory, psychological thought, particular world view, of the other, and of itself, we have the presence of that space. In that space Reveals That which is beyond the "I," which is not inside that known context: it is You free from that "me," that "I," that self-image, that you as thought says you are.

So, that's our purpose in these meetings here: full Awareness of this, the real vision of this Truth, the Truth that Liberates, that brings this Awareness of God, which is Love, Happiness, Comprehension, and Wisdom. That's the purpose of these online meetings we have here on weekends - Saturdays and Sundays. You have, in the video description, our WhatsApp link to participate in these online meetings on weekends.

Besides these meetings, we have in-person meetings and also retreats. So, if this is something that makes any sense to you, consider this an invitation. Go ahead, leave your "like," subscribe to the channel, and write here in the comments: "Yes, this makes sense." Ok? And we'll see each other. Thanks for the meeting and see you next time!
