It's quite common for some to think that an experience called kundalini is necessary to achieve this encounter with God. Here, the expression is "how to find," in the phrase "how to find God," or "how to find happiness." For some, it's about going through an experience; we need to investigate this, this question of experience.
When do we have an experience? It's when we remember what happened. We can only speak of an experience as a memory, as something we went through. Therefore, every memory refers to something that has already been, that has already occurred, that has already happened; it necessarily requires the presence of an element speaking of that lived experience. The presence of this element is the experiencer.
There is no experience without the experiencer, and we are emphasizing this all the time, the need to have an encounter with an experience for an encounter with Truth, for an encounter with God or with happiness. However, who is this element present for this encounter if not the very presence of the experiencer? But who is this experiencer? It is the one who recorded in the past what they lived. Therefore, it is not a new experience called an encounter with God that we need.
We do need to become aware of the Reality of God; that is the true encounter, but that is not an experience. Every experience, because there is an experiencer in that experience, what is present is the account of the continuity of this experiencer. But Divine Reality, the Reality of Happiness, is not for the "I." What is the truth of this "I," since this "I" is the experiencer itself, it is the element that comes from the past?
When we are addressing this question of this encounter with God, we are directly stating the real need for the end of the past model, the end of the model of the experiencer, which is the "I." Therefore, the truth of the encounter with Happiness, of the encounter with God, resides in the comprehension of the truth about the "I," which is the experiencer. Therefore, this encounter does not reside in an experience. This encounter is something that is present when the experiencer is no longer there and, therefore, the experience is no longer present.
For most people, tired as they are of a tedious, repetitive, monotonous, problematic, unhappy life, they are projecting, idealizing an encounter with a profound, meaningful, rich experience that they call kundalini. The expression "kundalini" does indeed point to an experience for most people. However, the truth of this encounter with Supreme Reality is not an experience.
Therefore, the expression "kundalini," which refers to this Presence or this energy of Divine Consciousness, of Real Consciousness, is not for the experiencer. Therefore, it is not something like an experience, but something that reveals itself precisely when there is no longer the model of continuity of an identity that returns with its memory, its past, its recollection, its experience.
So, there's a great deal of confusion here when people use the expression "kundalini," because they identify it as an experience for someone, the experiencer, whereas Divine Reality, the Reality of God, which is this Supreme Presence or Energy, is the absence of the "I," the absence of any experience. That is kundalini.
What is present as the real presence of kundalini reveals itself in the absence of the "I," in the absence of the ego, in the absence of an experiencer. Then, an energy, which is this Divine Presence, occupies this space in this body and in this mind. So, it is in this sense that we have to comprehend what the answer to the question "how to find God" means, as well as "how to find happiness," as well as "how to find love."
We are talking about the Reality of this Being, which is God, which is this Presence. In this sense, the expression "kundalini," which points to this Divine Energy, this absence of that center, which is the "I," is the Reality of kundalini, it is the Reality of Being, it is the Reality of God.
See, we are dealing with different expressions pointing to a single Reality, which is present here when there is no longer illusion. However, no matter how broad, deep, and significant an experience may be for someone, that experience will still remain within that quality of experience for the experiencer, and that experiencer will retain that experience and will need new experiences, because no experience is definitive. What is present as real, is not an experience, it is not something that happens in time and repeats itself in time.
The truth, therefore, of Kundalini, the truth, therefore, of God, of Happiness, the truth, therefore, of this Being is something that is present here, but it is not what happens in time, it is something that reveals itself when there is no more time. The presence of time, notice, is the presence of the model of continuity. We never speak of time without continuity.
Time, for all of us, is what was, what is, and what will be. It is here that the presence of time resides. But where is time situated when we no longer have thought? If no thought is present within you, in what time are you? Are you in the past, the present, or the future? When thought is not, how is it possible for the idea of ??the present to arise? See, the present is an idea that arises between what was and what will be, between the past and the future.
There is no time when there is no thought. There is no experience when there is no past. There is no past without time. There is no time without thought. Therefore, the reality of Kundalini is that which is outside of time and, therefore, outside of experience. And I repeat: If there is no experience, there is no experiencer.
This moment here is a moment of contact with what is. Yes, there is a quality of experiencing, but the experiencer does not exist in this quality of experiencing. There is nothing to say about what happened, about what is happening. So, there is no such thing as what happened, or what is happening, or what will happen when there are no records. These records are memories, recollections, experiences recorded for the experiencer.
So, the great truth of the Awakening of this Real Presence, this timeless Consciousness, is Kundalini, but it is not for someone. It is precisely when there is no longer this "me," this "someone," then we have That which is timeless, That which is outside of time, That which is not part of the model of continuity, which is recollection, memory, records in this brain.
The question is: How does this encounter with God, this Kundalini Awakening, become possible? Comprehend, this encounter with God, this Kundalini Awakening is not something in time. The idea of ??encountering is in time, the idea of ??awakening is in time, but notice how interesting all this is. When you are sleeping and you wake up, did this awakening occur in time? Awakening is something that happens, but there is not a relation between time and awakening. In awakening, the illusion of the continuity of sleep, of the continuity of the dream, becomes clear.
Therefore, the awareness of Awakening is the vision of That which is outside of continuity, outside of the known, something entirely different; we are before something radically new, unknown, unnamable, indescribable. This is the presence of this Awakening, this is the presence of this awareness of That which is timeless, of That which is not in the known, of That which is not in continuity, of That which puts an end to continuity, or the idea, or the thought of continuity.
So, the question is: How does this become possible? This becomes possible when we learn about ourselves. It is fundamental to have the awareness of how thought processes itself within each of us. When you discover what it is to look without interfering with thought, you realize that thought moves within this perspective of continuity, of permanence of time.
Learning about Self-awareness is discovering how to look at our reactions and clearly perceive that thought is the memory of what has already been. It is this thought that speaks to us of what is here, from its own perspective, and speaks to us of what will be, from the imagination it brings of itself. This is the continuity of the thought model. This is exactly how we function.
The idea of ??a person, of being someone present, is a thought that speaks to this "me," this "I," that came from the past and is here, now, moving towards the future. When we learn to look at this movement of thought, that is learning about ourselves. When we learn to listen to this movement, to perceive this movement without interfering with it, we approach this instant that reveals something outside the thought model and, therefore, something outside the model of continuity, which is the presence of time.
Therefore, when time ends, because thought has ended, we have the Revelation of That which is present here beyond the known; this is Real Consciousness, Divine Consciousness, God, Happiness, Kundalini, whatever name you want for That which is beyond an experience, an experiencer, an identity that moves in time, which is this person.
Therefore, speaking of this encounter with God, speaking of this encounter with happiness, for the person, is an illusion. The person will never be happy; they will experience moments of pleasure, moments of satisfaction, moments of fulfillment, but along with these moments, other moments will arise. So, the person has moments of peace, of what they understand as peace, moments of pleasure, of what they understand as pleasure, which when we investigate, when we look closely at this peace, it is not real peace; this pleasure is also laden with suspicion, dread, dependence, and fear.
So, the Truth of Happiness is not for the person; it is the nature of this Being, it is the nature of the Truth about You when Reality, which is Supreme Reality, is present here. That is the Reality of God. Therefore, to speak of kundalini as an experience is a misconception. Therefore, to speak of happiness as an experience is a deception. We are dealing with the still-present model of thought projecting what thought imagines to be God in this encounter, to be kundalini in this encounter, to be happiness, to be love in this encounter.
Thus, thought is always projecting this, and everything it projects, in reality, is within its known context. Anything it finds will still be part of it, will be within its own model. Thus, when people speak of experiences they have had, they are speaking of what they lived, but they remain there.
The Reality of this Being is not an experience for someone, it is the Revelation of That which is present here when someone, this "me," this "I," is no longer here. Therefore, Happiness is not a state for a person, just like Love, Freedom, Peace, the awareness of God, the awareness of this Being. That's what we're here with you, working on in these meetings.
