If we come here across something undeniable, it is the urgent need for a profound change in each one of us. We need to understand what is truly a life free from all this contradiction. Our life is currently established in a contradictory movement. Unless we are like the vast majority, completely absorbed in our various external interests for various achievements – without realizing that all this movement, all this movement of this vast majority, is a movement of escape from our existential pain, from the problems we have – unless we are exactly like them, we cannot perceive, here, the importance of a speech like this; we cannot perceive, here, this urgent need for a profound change, a profound transformation in ourselves.
This is what we are working on with you, showing you that it is necessary, it is something pressing, it is something urgent, it is something of great importance the truth of revealing these internal states of contradiction in which we find ourselves, which are producing all kinds of confusion, disorder and suffering in our lives. So, we need this change, we need this transformation. What will be the element that will provide this for each one of us? Can we trust that someone can do this for us? Is this solved if someone does it for us?
Here, we need to allow ourselves to study, investigate, and delve deeper into this. This change will not come from a political, philosophical, or spiritual transformation; it will not happen because of an external change, in the model of society, in the existence of society, in the world. This true change will occur when we become aware of this urgent, pressing need here. And it is something that comes from each one of us; it does not come from the world, it is not born from culture, it is not born from society; it is born from within each one of us. When you are aware of this movement that has become your life, you realize this need.
Here, we are, with you, looking at how this happens and the importance of this approach. This way of feeling life, of thinking about life, of getting emotional, of relating, of having this contact with experiences. This way of having this contact with yourself, what is happening inside you, your internal responses that arise when a certain moment arises and, with it, a challenge occurs. Once you start to become aware, just a little, of this inadequacy of this model – which is the model of mere adjustment to this complicated, disorderly, problematic society, full of fear, confusion, conflict – once you start to become aware of this, you will realize this need.
Let's look at this here, with you. First, before anything else, how do we function? What is thought in you? Notice that your thoughts are not the thoughts you want to have, they are thoughts that arise to you. Notice how we function: you cannot have thoughts that you want to have, you only have thoughts that happen to you. This is how our mind works. Right now, for example, you are feeling very well and someone tells you something, brings you some news. At that moment, a feeling arises because of the news... you do not control these external triggers, these external triggers, of situations that happen externally, which end up determining internal states in you, such as, for example, a piece of news.
If you hear good news, you are happy, if you hear bad news, you are sad. You hear someone talking badly about you, and it makes you sad, upset or angry. And you go towards the solution to this problem. You see, psychologically we are always being guided by a model, a pattern of behavior that we receive from this society, this culture, this world. This way of behaving is centered on the “I,” this “me,” this ego. Thus, the person that “I am” is a set of beliefs, opinions, evaluations, judgments, concepts, prejudices and so on. This is the element that “I am.” Note that this is the truth of what “I am.”
Why does this happen this way? Why are we always being modeled by culture and responding to the world based on this modeling that we have received? This is because we are basically living a life where there is a background of mental conditioning, of psychic conditioning. This is what gives the person that “I am” this condition of being this person that I “show to be,” that I “appear to be.” So, we need a change. What is it that we are missing? The Truth about ourselves, because everything we have just stated here is on the periphery of this being. This being that we know is a center that carries a periphery. This is the truth about each one of us in this so-called “life,” within this context of psychological, cultural, religious, and political conditioning.
The ancient sages already spoke of the importance of knowing ourselves. The old phrase: “Man, know thyself” is something we all know. At least theoretically, as a phrase, as a quote, we have all heard this expression. But what does it really mean for each one of us? Absolutely nothing! Because we continue within this model, we do not realize the importance of Self-awareness, of this study of ourselves, we do not realize the value that this represents for the end of this continuity of this movement of this being that we recognize in ourselves, and that has a periphery of a humanist behavior model; something egocentric.
Breaking away from this is the possibility of something new emerging, of something new being present. So, knowing the truth about yourself shows you something beyond this “you” that has this “being” based on this center that carries a periphery. This is the movement of the “I,” it is the movement of the ego, it is the movement of the person. Is there a new quality of mind possible, of heart possible, of life possible for each one of us? A free life, a free mind, a heart free from this context of reactive behavior, which is always responding within the old model of psychological conditioning that we have received.
This is what we are seeing here, with you, having a direct answer to the question “Who am I?” Ramana Maharshi, the sage of Arunachala hill – this is one of the main subjects here on this channel – the beauty of this encounter with the observation of these reactions, becoming aware of this center that is this being with its periphery, observing these reactions, studying ourselves, becoming aware of this. Ramana Maharshi called this “Atma Vichara.” Discovering what this self-observation is, this self-inquiry is. What makes a change possible is the presence of this available energy, which is present in each one of us and which is constantly being wasted in this old model of being, this being someone with a center; this life of the “I” in this egocentric movement of seeking external achievements and diverse objectives on the outside.
A direct look at your reactions is to have an approach of the movement of this psychological condition where this center is the “I,” the ego, with its reasons and motives, inclinations and actions, which are this periphery. Thus, Ramana Maharshi’s Atma Vichara is the approach of this look and this door of transformation that opens up for something new to emerge, which is the Presence of Divine Reality, which is the Presence of God. This Divine Reality, this Presence of God, is the Nature of this Real Being, not of this model of being someone in this egocentric way of moving, of behaving. So, there is a great revelation: the revelation of the nature of Happiness, of Love, of Freedom, of Compassion. Direct contact with Truth is Truth in expression. This is the end of this pattern of human suffering, of this psychological condition of egoic identity. See how important this is.
Here we are, directly and very clearly, telling you that all human suffering is something present that follows, that is side by side, that accompanies like a shadow this psychological condition of ignorance of the Truth about who we are. That is why a profound, significant change is necessary for each one of us, and this change occurs when there is a transformation in the very psychophysical structure of this mechanism, this organism. A new energy takes over this body and this mind – this is the Divine energy, this is the energy of God, this transformation is something possible with the flourishing of your essential nature.
That is why we have explained to you here what the Truth of this encounter with your Divine Nature is. The Truth of this encounter is the flourishing of this energy, the embracing of this Divine energy, creating a profound transformation in this body and mind – I refer to this Kundalini energy. The presence of this energy is the energy of this true Divine consciousness. Once this Reality of God reveals itself, a new energy is present, which is the Kundalini energy, which is the energy of this Real Consciousness. The word “Kundalini” is synonymous with Consciousness. I refer to this True Consciousness, this Real Consciousness that is the Consciousness of God.
Therefore, this change, this transformation is possible when this energy has the Freedom to carry out a transformation within each one of us, a change in the brain itself, in the brain structure itself. So, it is a psychological change and also a change in the structure itself, in the chemistry of this brain, of this mechanism. This is the Truth about the Real Kundalini Awakening, Real Spiritual Awakening. This is what we are working on with you here in these meetings. Once this Truth is revealed, there is the Truth of non-duality, of non-separation. This is the awareness of God, it is the awareness of your Being.
So, you who are here with us, investigating this, we are together on the weekends, Saturday and Sunday, working on this – these are online meetings on the weekends. Here, in the video description, you have our WhatsApp link to get closer to these online meetings on the weekends. We have our in-person meetings and also retreats. If this is something that makes sense to you, here is an invitation, leave your “like,” subscribe to the channel and we will see each other. Ok? Thanks for the meeting and see you soon!
