Going straight to the point: we are pointing you here, within the channel, to the Truth of God’s Realization, which is possible for you today – here I mean in this lifetime.
So, what is this meeting about? A direct pointing to the Truth of your Being. This is the present Reality of God. In a direct way, how does this become possible? Understanding the Truth about Who You Are; and the instrument we have for the Realization of That is something very intimate in all of us, it is something always present, available to each one of us: it is the mind. It is the only possible instrument for this approach, the observation of this psychological, internal movement within these mechanics that we call “mind.”
There is nothing more intimate, closer to you, than the reality of what the mind says, what the mind expresses. So, without understanding this mechanism, which is the mechanism we call “mind,” without understanding how we work internally, psychologically, we have no way of discovering the Truth beyond the mind. Here when we refer to God or this True Consciousness, as I have been calling it here on the channel, or That which transcends names and forms, That which here we also call the nameless Truth or the Unknown, we are referring to Something beyond the mind.
We need this approach, we need to understand the truth of how we work, how the mind works. All the complexity of “our” present life, all the difficulty, all forms of confusion, suffering, disorder, disturbance in us, are due to this mind in disorder, this confused mind, this disoriented mind, this mind attached to the model of psychological conditioning. So, the most intimate and closest element to ourselves is this idea, the idea of “I,” which is an idea constructed by an enormous number of thoughts within this personal and particular story, which is based on this mechanism, which is the mind. Without understanding this mechanism and what goes on in it, we cannot go beyond it.
We live within a limitation centered on this “me,” this “I,” this internal disorder, this internal contradiction, this psychological model of thinking and feeling. That’s something in that mechanism, that’s something within that mechanism, which is the mind. So, we need to understand the Truth about ourselves, we need to understand ourselves. Without understanding the Truth about who we are, we are always getting confused with this model of mind. This model of mind is what I have called the “egoic mind” – as a synonym for this egoic mind, I have called this “egoic consciousness.” It is exactly this model of a mind not understood, not seen, not studied.
We don't need to study what the books say, we need to study ourselves, what goes on inside each of us. Watching this movement of the mind is the mind looking at itself, becoming aware of itself. That is possible when there is that silence to observe, that space to observe. To look at oneself, to look at each and every movement of thought and feeling is to become aware of this contradiction, this model of distressing, conflicting, disordered thinking, of feeling, producing in us the whole picture of psychological unhappiness. So, the element we have for this approach of the Revelation of the Truth about ourselves is the mind itself. When the mind becomes aware of itself, and for that it needs space, silence, stillness to observe that sense of an “I” that is always separating itself from whatever is arising or appearing, sustaining, thus, the conflict, sustaining, thus, contradiction, sustaining, thus, all forms of suffering.
So, our psychological condition is the condition of an ego-identity due to an egoic mind when we don't look at what we are; and the element that makes this look possible, the instrument that makes this look possible, what makes this self-observation possible, is this energy of mind attention on the movement of this egoic mind, this behavior of psychological conditioning. The psychological conditioning is this unobserved, unnoticed, unseen egoic mind.
So, while you maintain this model of mental consciousness, egoic consciousness, egoic mind – these are all synonymous – there isn’t this awareness of the Truth about who we are. So, there isn’t this Revelation of the Reality of your Being. The verification of this is the realization of the Truth of God. The Truth about our Real Nature, the Truth about our True Identity, is not something within that egoic mind, that egoic consciousness, that mental consciousness; and the instrument we have available for this investigation is through self-investigation, through self-observation of this movement of the mind in the silence of the mind, in the stillness of the mind. Perhaps, you say, “How to reconcile this? You speak to me of an egoic mind, and you also speak to me of a silent mind in stillness.” This attention to the movement of the restless mind or the egoic mind is the awareness of the stillness of the mind, the silence of the mind. Then, a space opens up; this space is the space of this attention on this internal movement.
We as human beings are trapped in this unobserved and therefore conditioned thought-feeling model, something we have learned throughout the entire history of humanity, something that in us is a few decades old, but in humanity it is already present for millennia. Jealousy, envy, fear, mental confusion, internal chatter, that huge waste of energy at all times. Something that thought is producing, making an illusory identity present of which we confuse ourselves with, we identify with. That identity is the “I.” The “I” is the one in us that is always in the future to accomplish something. Psychologically, it is always projecting an image, an idea, a dream, or an imagination about itself, calling itself “I.” So, this “I,” either it is in the future or in the past. So, internally, this psychological restlessness, this mental restlessness, is typical of this unobserved, unseen, unnoticed egoic mind.
I want to invite you to a free mind in stillness, in silence; a mind free of this model of egoic identity, egoic consciousness, egoic mind. There is something we need to understand together: the need to go beyond this “me,” this “I,” this ego, this sense of “someone” present. In this illusion – the illusion of a present identity – there is always the sense of separation between what this “me,” this “I” is and life, the other, the world and God.
So, regarding this God Realization, regarding this Awakening of Consciousness or Spiritual Enlightenment – here I am also calling it the Natural State or Natural State –, it is the state free of the “ego”. This ego-free state requires a silent mind, not a mind that has been silenced through some technique, through some practice, or silenced through some system. A mind that is forced into silence, that is silenced, is still part of that movement which is the movement of the “I” in its effort to become something, to achieve something – and here it is to reach silence, it is to attain stillness.
So, we are not dealing with that, we are talking about a silent mind. A silent mind is a mind free of “mind,” free of “I.” So, here it is a question of a room available for this Presence, for this Real Consciousness, so we have God, That which is Unnamable, Unknown, That which is out of mind, out of time, which we call God, we have That present. It is when God reveals Himself, it is when He assumes this place.
What I have been saying on the channel, here in these meetings – this also happens in online meetings, in face-to-face meetings and in retreats, so I invite you to investigate this, deepen this –, is that the only Reality present is the Reality of God. This sense of “I” with “my” story, “I” with “my” life, “I” with “my” world, is an illusion. The only Reality present is the Reality of God. It reveals itself when a new mind is present, it is that silent mind. So, it is a silence that is born out of this Mindfulness. This Mindfulness is the awareness of each and every movement of thought, feeling, emotion, sensation and sense perceptions. It requires no effort; it requires no discipline – not this “effort” in the sense of wanting something with it. Each and every effort in this perspective, in this way, is still an effort of the “I,” of the ego.
You cannot Realize God by effort. Who would be involved in this effort to Realize? So, this movement of the “I” through effort, through desire, is a withdrawal from attention itself. Here, when I refer to this Attention, this Mindfulness, this full Attention is something that comes very naturally when there is real interest. Notice that when you are really interested in something there is no effort, your whole look, your whole listening, your whole heart becomes present. It is a joy to approach in this Attention. And when you approach something like this, watch: the mind is silent. You are so complete, so whole, there is such Mindfulness that all sense of a present “I” experiencing, separating itself to experience that, disappears, it is a very natural thing. The sense of “I” is there when there is control, when there is effort, when you discipline yourself towards a goal. This “me,” this “I,” is basically psychological conditioning moving in desire, in objectification. When there is this contact with Mindfulness, the sense of “I” is not there, there is joy without “someone” present, there is a look without “someone” looking, there is listening without “someone.”
When you look at something that touches you deeply on a level outside of desire, fear, intention, there is always a way of looking with that interest, but it is a natural, free interest, there is nothing to get or achieve. When you look at a mountain range, when you look at a blue sky, when you look at a tree in the middle of a field, when you feel in a few moments that smell of the earth rising after a brief rain, and your eyes are in front of some scene of nature, in that moment, in that instant, there is Mindfulness. There is no desire, there is no fear, there is no effort. At that moment, the brain is silent and there is a space of joy without “someone” happy, there is a look without “someone” looking, there is this feeling of the smell of the wet earth, or of everything around you, the smell of the grass, the smell of the leaves, and there is no sense of an “I” present because the mind is silent, still. In reality, it is empty of all that content, which is the content of the “I,” of the egoic mind. So, there is no desire, there is no fear, there is no past, there is no future, there are no intentions of accomplishments for this “me,” for this “I,” “it” is not there. In that moment of Mindfulness, Something outside the ego, outside the “me,” outside the “I” is revealed. We all know, we've had moments like this, this is the moment of God revealing himself there in that body-mind. There is no egoic activity, no egocentric activity, no reason, no motive, nothing, absolutely nothing, only Nothing is Everything. So, here we are inviting you to understand the Truth of your Being, which is this Nothing, which is this All, which is this absence of the “I,” Something that is revealed in this Truth of your Being, here and now.
So, what is this God Realization? It is God Revealing Himself there, in that body-mind. At this moment, there is no psychological time, there is no past, present, or future. There is no form of psychological pressure to gain something. It’s all very interesting. The human being is in search of peace, in search of happiness, in search of love, at that moment, nothing is sought, one doesn’t talk about peace, one doesn’t talk about happiness, one doesn’t talk about love, and yet That which is present is outside the “I”; and outside this “I,” which is the “ego,” the “me,” there is no search for peace, love or happiness, because this is present here, which is God, your Being. A look free of the “I,” a feeling free of the “I,” that smell, literally, of everything around you free of the “I,” a listening free of the “I.”
This meeting is the meeting with the Divine Reality, with the Reality of Meditation. So, when the brain is silent, when there is this self-observation of this movement of the “I,” and here I have been saying: I want to invite you to discover this outside of this environment of nature; it happens on a walk, on a trail, it happens on the edge of a beach, it happens in a field, but I want to invite you to discover the Truth of It, here and now, of this Natural State free of the “I” where everything can be seen without the observer feeling, without “someone” feeling. This is possible when that inner silence opens, when the mind is silent, when it is free of all that old content of that egoic mind, that mental consciousness, that sense of “I” that lives within that self-centeredness, always wanting to accomplish. things, achieve goals, or to get rid of things. So, in that moment, in that self-observation, the mind is silent, there is the verification that this thought, this feeling, whatever the thought or feeling is bringing, this now does not receive an identity. And if this does not receive an identity, the brain is silent, the mind is still. Then, the mind is emptied of all its content, then in that Natural Silence, the Truth of Being, which is the Truth of God, reveals itself and there is no longer the “I,” the ego, the “me.”
So, what is this God Realization? It is the realization that there is only God. At that moment, your Being, your Divine Reality, is no longer identifying with this condition, which is the illusory condition of a present identity separating, then there is no longer the “I,” the ego.
The work is processed because of this Self-awareness, this observation, which is the observation of all this movement of the “I.” That’s what I've been calling Self-awareness here, that silence to observe, that stillness to observe, that new brain, that new mind free of the “I” to observe. So, we touch on the beauty of the art of Meditation, the True Meditation in a practical, experiential way, here and now – here on the channel we have a playlist about what the True Meditation is in a practical way, what this Real Self-awareness is in an evidential way.
So, we are facing That which is outside the “I,” we are facing That which is the only present Reality, the Reality of God. This is Love, this is Peace, this is Happiness, but it is not peace, happiness, and love that the “I” finds after a search. It is That which reveals itself when all pursuit of that “I” disappears along with it, then that “I” disappears and reveals That which is your Essential Nature, which is God, which is, essentially, Love, Peace, and Happiness. Then, a new brain is present, a new mind is present: this is Spiritual Enlightenment, this is the Awakening of Consciousness.
This is the subject here on the channel. We're exploring this together, delving into this together in these online meetings, face-to-face meetings, and also retreats. Here’s the invitation and we'll see you in the next one!
