Life in fear, in ego. Where the ego sustains itself: conditioned mind. Awakening of Consciousness.

One of the very thematic subjects here is this subject of fear. Note that no matter how much you say you are not afraid, if there is something fundamental, like the backbone of the person – this person we believe we are, this “I” that we believe we are –, the backbone [of that person] is fear. Perhaps you are not aware of how much fear you carry. We are, in the ego, in that “I”, creatures laden with fear. From birth to death, in life, what we experience most is fear. You just see that, you just become aware about that; the difficulty is to become aware; the difficulty is to observe the inner movement of this consciousness that we have.

Our consciousness has as its content all past experiences, memories, remembrances, knowledge, and this consciousness has recorded very clearly its moments of insecurity, fright, dread, and fear. I say this because that consciousness, which is the consciousness of the “I”, is afraid of disappearing. If there is something present in a very patent, very clear way – although, with difficulty, we approach to observe it and become aware of it – it is this question of this fear that the ego has, that the “I” has to disappear. Since childhood we have been preserving this sense of egoic identity. By preserving this, we are always sustaining that characteristic present in us, which is the characteristic of fear.

The human being is afraid; he is afraid of the past, he is afraid of the challenge of the present moment, he is afraid of the future, he is afraid of the husband, the wife, the children; afraid of divorce, afraid of marriage, afraid of getting sick, afraid of getting old, afraid of dying, afraid of the dark; he is afraid of the physical dangers, of the psychological challenges he faces in his relationship with the other. The fear of being hurt, of being offended, all of that is within that self-preservation of the “I”, which is basically fear. So, fear is in our lives in a very clear, very patent way, we just need to become aware and observe that our motives, our reasons, our impulses, our motivations in this search for pleasure, in this search for reward and gratification within achievements, within acquisitions, all of that is based on fear.

So, fear and pleasure might seem like different things, but in reality we are dealing with the same phenomenon. The pursuit of pleasure is the escape from pain – I mean that psychological pain which is the pain of the “I”. So, in this search for satisfaction in pleasure, our constant search, our interest, for example, in desires, the search for fulfillment in desires, which seems to be a simple search for pleasure is, in fact, the attempt to keep away anything that causes us pain. So, we are in a constant search for security, physical security, emotional security, psychological security in our relationships, in our goals, in our projects, and all of this is fear. There is not this natural flow, free of fear, because we are not psychologically, internally free of the mind.

The mind is the structure where the ego sustains itself – the conditioned mind, this programmed mind. In fact, we are a memory that is the result of a culture that has been trying to survive for millennia, because there is fear – the fear of “welcoming life as it is”. One of the classic signs of this in us is this model of the conditioned brain, more precisely the conditioned intellect. We are always judging, evaluating, measuring, adding, subtracting, seeing if it is advantageous, and all this happens because of this fear. This self-interest, this self-centeredness in the “I” – what makes us human beings self-centered, always centered in ourselves, in search of advantages, of personal accomplishments – this sense of “I” needs to survive. And to survive it has to win, it has to fight, it has to strive. All this is within this conditioning, this conditioned intellect, this programmed way of living life, of feeling alive in life.

The point here is that in this life in fear, in the self-centered, ego-centered life, in this self-centeredness, in this self-consciousness – and here self-consciousness is the consciousness of the “I,” this awareness that you make of the world, in reality, is a projection of that “I” –, you see yourself as an entity that has separated itself from the world, that has separated itself from the other, that has separated itself from life, that has separated itself from the Reality that is beyond all that, which is the Divine Reality, which is the Reality of God. In this condition, which is the condition of the “I”, our life is a life in suffering, because there is this struggle, there is this search for gratification, for reward, for pleasure, there is this search for distancing ourselves from everything that makes us suffer. This search for distance is present because of fear. So, the psychological, emotional, sentimental and physical condition of the human being is one of suffering.

All that we have known from the cradle to the grave is a life of suffering, because it is an “I”-centered, ego-centered life. Here, in our meeting, we are investigating what fear is. Why are we in this fear? Who is that in fear? Is there any separation between “me” and fear? And when we ask what fear is, a verbal explanation, a theoretical explanation, an approach to mere words… Here, we may have mere words; in a book we may have mere words; in a lecture listening to someone, we can only hear words. Does an approach through words, does mere theoretical, verbal knowledge of it, give us this view of what the truth of fear is?

To understand fear, we have to approach it. The fact is that we cannot approach fear if our whole conditioning movement is fear itself, happening in an unconscious, mechanical way. There is no awareness of this very unconscious movement going on, which is the movement of fear.

So, an approach to the truth of fear does not come from theory, it does not come from listening to lectures, it does not come from reading books, but it is something that is born when we study ourselves, when we learn to observe in ourselves all this movement in search of security, seeking protection, seeking evaluation, judgment, comparison in our relationships with each other, with Life happening around us. By observing this movement in us, we can become aware of this “I” and therefore the presence of this fear, because this idea that “I am afraid”, that “I feel fear”, that “I have been experiencing fear”, this is a completely false idea.

There is no “I” feeling fear, there is no “I” being afraid, there is no “I” experiencing fear, just as there is no “I” in fulfilling desires, there is no “I” in achieving satisfaction, fulfillment or pleasure. There is no “I” separate from this experience! That “I” is that very experience! This is within that self-centeredness.

Experience is not separate from the one who experiences it. So, we already have a different approach. We're not going to study words, we're not going to learn this from a psychologist, we're not going to learn this from a philosopher, or a motivational speaker, or a priest. Learning about ourselves requires a careful look at what goes on inside each one of us, because it is this internal movement of present fear that has placed us in an ambitious behavior, it is the fact of this presence of fear, which it is the unidentified “I” itself, which has driven us to the egocentric movement, for the egocentric movement, to the self-interested movement.

In that self-interest, we are envious creatures, we are greedy creatures, we act in a self-centered way. So, we are aggressive, violent, possessive creatures. We are acting in a relationship with the other from this “I”, which is this fear in movement, in a way where we are disguising this fear. And, in this relationship, although we have the presence of kindness, affection, care, in the relationship with the other, but since this relationship is actually self-centered, centered on the ego itself, on this basis of an “I”, which is fear itself, there is no Love, there is no Peace, there is no Freedom, there is no Happiness, there is no Divine Truth.

So, we need to discover the Truth about who we are, or the illusion that today appears to be ourselves – I mean this illusion of “I”, the sense of being someone, which is the sense of ego, in that ambition, envy, desire, constant search for pleasure, in this confusion of kindness, care, affection and pleasure in relationships with “love”. Becoming aware of this element, which is the “I” element, the ego element, in this movement... becoming aware, perceiving this, is seeing the truth of this illusion, the illusion of this separatist center, which lives within this duality: “me and the other”, “me and life”, “me and the world”, “me and God “, “me and desire”, “me and fear”. All of this is part of this conditioning, this programming of being “someone”. This is the result of a culture, a civilization, a humanity, all of human history – for millennia human beings have been living like this, and we are continuing to do so.

This work consists of waking up, of going beyond this condition of ego-identity, and therefore this is the end of the “I”, which represents the end of fear. And if fear ends, all those self-centered expressions, in that ego-identity, in that illusory identity, also disappear. Thus, the work consists in becoming aware of this movement, which is the movement of the “I”, of the ego, of this “person that I present to be”, “that I manifest to be”, which is always present in this conflict, in this contradiction, in this experience of living.

So, we spend a lifetime in this self-centeredness, in this egocentrism, in this model of egoic identity, and this is a state of sleep, of unconsciousness. That’s why the expression “the Awakening of Consciousness” is very relevant in this meeting. Here, it is about the Awakening of Consciousness! This Awakening of Consciousness is the end of this “consciousness”, which is egoic consciousness, which is the consciousness of the “I”, which is in the state of sleep... in reality, of dream, which is trying to continue alive in that dream.

This is how this “I”, this dreamer, in this dream of separate existence, tries to maintain itself, tries to stay alive. Then everything frightens him, everything terrifies him! So, the basis of this dreamer is fear. When that ends, we have the presence of something unknown, something outside what thought knows, what the mind knows, what this duality “me and not me” knows; we have something other than that particular center, that “person”.

That is the purpose of this work with you: to show you that it is possible to Realize the Truth of your Being, which is the Reality of God, a life beyond the “me”, a life beyond the ego, a life beyond fear, and, therefore, a life beyond suffering. All this suffering, linked to this fear, which always puts you in a position of search, for more, and more, and more... which represents every form of attachment, control and search for fulfillment and satisfaction, something merely egoic, personal, this is what keeps us in this condition of psychological suffering, emotional suffering and also physical suffering, because this very structure of fear comes from this idea that we have this body; and when the body becomes ill, there is fear. It is not the sick body that is afraid, it is the “I” in this illusion of being inside the body, identified with the body, that carries this fear. So, there is suffering. Suffering is the fear.

When the body is sick, it is fragile, it is fragilized, it has some weakness, some frailty or a part of the body feels some pain, but soon we have this sense of an “I” present in this experience, in this idea “I am the body”, and that is suffering. So, suffering is present – this physical suffering – because, in the idea, in the thought, in the belief, there is an “I” present that fears losing this body in death, or identified with this body, in physical pain, feels this anguish, that depression or even anger at being sick, frustration. All this is suffering. Are we together?

The point is to become aware that there is a Reality outside of this idea “I am the body”, “I am in the world”, “I am someone”, “someone” that is now here and that, suddenly, can disappear and lose everything that he has acquired, that he owns, that he controls, that he claims to love, but in fact, they are sources of gratification for his own ego, sources of pleasure for his own “I” – this is what we call “loving”, “to love”. All this needs to be investigated.

This work consists of this investigation, this approach, this study of ourselves, in understanding this movement of the “I”, which is fear. It’s not “me in fear”, it’s fear, and fear is “me”. Without the presence of the “I”, there is no fear; without the presence of the “I”, there is no envy, there is no ambition, there is no conflict or contradiction of desires; without the sense of an “I”, there is no past, which is fear; nor future, which is fear; there is no idea of being alive and being able to die, which is fear. This is present in this “I”. Without the “I”, there is no such thing.

So, we are facing something wonderful, something indescribable, unnamable: the Presence of the Divine Reality, which is the Presence of your Being. So, our work consists of an approach at this level: looking at what is happening here and now, discovering What is the Truth beyond this “I”, which is this conditioning, which is this programming, something that has been with you for a long time, thirty, forty, fifty years – the time of this physical body.

Without awakening to the Truth of your Being, without this Awakening of Consciousness, living in that “I” consciousness, which is the ego, is living in that condition of suffering, that condition of fear.

So, this is our work here with you, on this channel: the Truth of your Being, the Awakening of Consciousness, through Self-Awareness, through True Meditation, in a practical way. Then, the Awakening of this Consciousness takes place, which is also called Spiritual Enlightenment – this is our purpose in these meetings.

Love in Relationships. Advaita Vedanta. Self-Awareness and True Meditation. Existential void escape

The question is: is it possible for us to have an action free, a freedom with such quality that our actions do not produce any form of contradiction, problem, or suffering? Is it possible for us to act free from this “I”? That is what we are studying and working on here with you, within this channel. Here, I am referring to an action where there is no intention, no motivation, this intention to obtain, acquire, earn, accomplish, and after all that, to feel validated, important, fulfilled psychologically, internally.

I do not know if, at some point, you have ever reflected on this. Do our actions necessarily have to be as they have been? Self-centered actions. The fact is that we are living in an internal condition of life where everything we see around us has an evaluation from this “I,” of judgment, comparison, desire, and fear. Here on this channel, we are working with you to end the illusion of suffering. Will there be an end to suffering? Is a life free from suffering possible? What is life without this sense of a present “I”? How is this life without the sense of an ego-identity, without a behavior like the one we have generally had, which is the behavior, the speaking, feeling, thinking, acting within this egocentrism? Will there be actions free from the “I”? Is it possible to realize the Divine Truth?

For millennia the Sages have been talking to us about such action free from the ego, from that personal, particular, self-centered identity, in that self-consciousness interested in itself and doing everything to get something for itself. Notice how important this is. All the confusion, all the disorder, the mess, everything that has become our lives are present due to the presence of this “I.” We never ask ourselves if this feeling, this thinking, and this pattern of action that we have are natural. As people, living in this “I,” we are self-centered creatures; the intention is always to take advantage, or gain something, even if it represents medium and long-term suffering for ourselves and those we claim to love. That is also a subject: do we really know what love is when living in the ego? Indeed, what is this ego? What is ego? What is the “I”? Who am I? What is the truth about this identity that I am? Is there truth in this identity?

The reality about this is that we are living a life within an illusion, the illusion of a separate identity. What is the truth of that identity which is the “I”? The human being has been suffering for millennia, for thousands and thousands of years; everything in the human being – and we are part of it – all of this we have inherited, we are this humanity. There is suffering, conflict, and fear in us. Despite all the entertainment, pleasure, fulfillment, and satisfaction we get in sensations, experiences, in different forms of entertainment we create, even so, we remain unhappy, problematic people. What is the truth about who we are?

Here on this channel, we are working with you to end the illusion of the ego, the illusion of the “I,” for the Realization of your Being, of God, the Awakening of Consciousness, the flowering of Happiness, the Real contact with the Truth of Love; not this awful, strange thing, which is part of this “I,” part of this movement of self-interest and satisfaction, which is part of this pleasure that the “person” obtains in a relation to others. We call it love: pleasure, satisfaction, or fulfillment the other gives me – that is what we call “love.” We are here working with you on the Awakening of your Being, your Divine Nature, your Essential Nature, the Awakening of that Sanity, that Sanctity, that Beauty of Being, that Life in God. It is not “someone” living in God, but rather God here as the only Reality of your Being.

Your Being is not something separate from God; this is the belief. Actually, the only Truth is God; there is only God. There is also this dream, this mysterious mode of manifestation we call life, and we do not understand it because we are inside a particular dream. Now this particular dream is the one of present identity, the illusion of identity here and now, speaking, hearing, feeling, thinking, so there is this sense of separateness, this duality, this “God and I,” this “I” with its particular dream in that mysterious dream of Divine manifestation, which is the Truth of God. So, in that sense of separation, there is this egocentrism; in that illusory identity, there is this sense of control, will, desire, and fear.

In this work, we invite you to a life free from this internal condition, which is this mental, psychological conditioning, and also every form of conditioning in that feeling, thinking, acting, the end of all it. We are human beings, human creatures, conditioned human beings; the “person” that this “I” represents is pure conditioning. So, the Divine Truth, the Truth of your Being, the Reality of God, is What is present and expressed with that Freedom, that Intelligence, that Sanity, that Sanctity when the sense of “I,” the ego, in that movement of self-centered action, is no longer present. So, there is no longer this movement of that time thought has created within each one of us, in this illusion of “I am this, but I need to be that” or “I have this, but I need to achieve that,” all of this to “be happy,” to “have peace,” “have love,” “have happiness,” which is still a mere projection of dissatisfaction, of a conflicted state of separateness. As long as this is present, there will be this feeling of pain, of separation. And a classic form of the presence of this pain, we all know, is this void that “something is missing.” Despite all the accomplishments and achievements that come from this self-centeredness, this self-consciousness, and this self-interest, despite all those, we remain unhappy, and we continue to feel this void. Then, this self-interest, this self-centeredness leads us to actions but actions born out of this background, this existential void, never fulfilled, and this is present because of this sense of duality, of separateness; the presence of that “I,” that ego, is sustaining all of this. Thus, there is a quest, a search for Something beyond that; This is Something inside each one of us, but the mind interprets it as something that has to be achieved externally, in new achievements and new satisfactions, which represent this existential void escape, an escape from this pain, which is never solved.

Thus, this work here purposes to you an investigation about the truth of who you are and the discarding of the illusion of this “I” that has this intention of “I am not, but I will be,” “I do not have, but I will have,” and this “becoming,” “coming to be,” “conquering something,” all that disappears, vanishes when there is this understanding of what is here, when we come across every thought, feeling, sensation, perception, vision within this dream of the “I,” and we become aware that it is only this “I” in this dream creating this illusion that is sustaining the existential void and the illusion of the search for something the “I” itself, the ego itself gives the name of “love,” “peace,” and “happiness.” When I become aware of this, there is an end to this “I.” This is possible when there is the Truth of approaching Self-Awareness.

Here on the channel, we have been talking a lot about Self-awareness, looking at oneself, the awareness of seeing all this movement, noticing all this movement, perceiving the illusion of this identity creating a particular dream of separate existence. The Truth of Self-Awareness brings you closer to the correct Meditation, which I have called True Meditation – it is the correct Meditation. So, Self-Awareness and True Meditation are the basis for this Liberation, for the end of the illusion, the ignorance, this “I,” this illusory identity. We are working together, here in the channel, showing you that a life in Bliss, Happiness, Real Love, Real Peace, and Real Truth, in your Real Being, in this Real Consciousness, is possible.

Everything you know about yourself, every idea you have about who you are, all that illusion of self-consciousness or this consciousness that is actually the consciousness of “I,” it all dissolves into this Real understanding of the True Consciousness, the awareness of the Reality of your Being, which is the Reality of God. That is the Life of God; it is no longer the life of the “I,” the “person’s,” the ego life, no longer this consciousness of the “I,” no longer this conditioned mind. Now there is a new mind, a meditative mind, the Silence of a mind freed from all sense of separation and, therefore, from all conflict, suffering, contradiction, and all forms of searching for fulfillment of any kind. All that disappears when you Realize the Truth of your Being – some people call it the Awakening of Consciousness, Spiritual Enlightenment, the Divine Reality here and now. Thus, this work of Self-Awareness and True Meditation in a practical way is the key that opens this door to the end of the illusion of the “I” and, therefore, to the end of this existential void.

Here we are inviting you to a Life in God, a Divine Life, a Life Free from the “I,” to a new way of living, and that represents the end of suffering, the end of emotional disorder; it is the Divine Truth, the Truth of God Revealing Himself here and now – we were born to Realize This. A human being can spend a lifetime achieving anything external, anything outside, however, without the Realization of What he Is, that Divine Truth, a life free from that sense of separateness, free from that pattern of self-centeredness, of a model of ego-identity, without this any other “achievement” means absolutely nothing.

The human being is born and goes from cradle to grave in this state of egoic conditioning, in this illusion of the “I,” so your life is just this dream, the dream of “someone” in the world, and nothing can make you really, truly happy. It does not matter what a human being can obtain, achieve, or accomplish if there is not in his life the Presence of that Perfume, the aroma of that Grace, which is the result of True Meditation, there is no possibility of this flowering of Happiness. So, we spend our whole lives in this condition of egoic identity, a pattern of egocentrism. Here, the Truth of your Being is What is Nameless, the Unknown, Real Bliss, Real Peace, Real Awareness of God, the end of that dream, which is the dream of the “I,” the end of this confusion, which is the confusion of the “I,” the presence of Love, of Freedom, the Truth of Intelligence, of seeing Life as It Is, without any sense of separation, without that illusion of duality, the presence of the Truth, of that “One without the second.” Sages call this Advaita, this is straight from Advaita Vedanta, the Truth of that “One without a second,” the unique Present Reality, which is Divine Reality, which is the Reality of God.

You were born to realize This, and when This is present, there is no longer this pattern of action to reach, accomplish, obtain, do, or become somebody. Something new is present here and now, the presence of Reality, of Truth; This is the Realization of God. We can give different names to It, but we are facing Something unique, singular. So, now there is the talking, listening, doing, and accomplishing, but there is no “someone” in it; it is the presence of Reality, all happening here and now, with no sense of an “I” present within that experience, then there is no fear. That is the Divine Truth, the Truth of your Being.

That is the subject here on our channel. If this is something that makes sense to you, so please, leave it in the comment: “Yes, it makes sense”; leave your “like” and subscribe to the channel. You, who watch our videos, but still forgot to subscribe to the channel, go ahead and do it. I want to remind you: we also have here in the video description our WhatsApp group, and on the weekends we have online meetings. In addition, we have face-to-face meetings and also retreats. Here is the invitation for you and see you. OK? Thanks for the meeting, and until next time!

Awakening of Consciousness. Spiritual Enlightenment | Psychological disorder, emotional confusion

Here on this channel, we offer you the possibility of the Realization of your Being – here, I refer to this Divine Nature present in each of us. We do not access it because we see ourselves as an entity separate from this Reality itself – the Truth of our Being, the Truth we bring – and we do that because we mistake ourselves for the movement of thought within each of us. This thought movement is a pattern of ideas, beliefs, concepts, prejudice, and a very personal and particular viewpoint on who we are and about life. So, there’s a whole set of ideas inside each of us, and we find ourselves confused, disoriented, and bewildered because of that.

Thus, there is a delusive identification with an identity present, which is the person we believe to be, made up by this set of ideas, concepts, and beliefs. This is what separates us from this Reality of our own Being. This entity or this identity is the “I” identity, the egoic identity, and this is what is giving us an entirely illusory vision about life, the other, ourselves, and about God; thus, there is no such contact with Beauty, with Love. Here, I want to discuss this with you, to tell you that this Realization of this Beauty is possible in this life, and here, when I refer to Beauty, I am not referring to what the human being can build with all these apparatuses or this aesthetic design that enchants our eyes.

Here I am referring to a Beauty that cannot be built by man, by the hands of man, and not even that so-called “beauty” we witness in nature. Therefore, I am not referring to the beauty man can build or the beauty we find in nature.

We know there is great beauty in existence, in nature, and also built by man, in art, music, and architecture; however, here I am referring to a Beauty of another order. There is a Beauty that is not accessible to the senses or feelings of the “person,” as we see ourselves, we believe ourselves to be. So, I refer to this Beauty of Truth of the Being itself, which transcends all that is phenomenal, apparent. This contact with the Reality of your Being, the Truth of your Being unfolding here and now, the awareness of this is the awareness of Beauty, this Beauty and this Love we refer to. Thus, our work here consists of discovering the Truth of what we are, getting in direct contact with the Truth of our own Being, and becoming aware of What transcends this body, mind, and world. Then, there is contact with Love. This contact is to disappear in this Beauty, in this Love, something possible when we realize the Truth of our own Being. So, I want to deal with you about the free mind, today.

What is the free mind? Why is it an essential factor in this Revelation? We live today within a model of conditioned mind, this model of internal conditioning that makes us see the other, life, and ourselves based on these ideas, this set of beliefs, concepts, and prejudices. That puts us in a relationship with life within this principle of separateness, the absence of Beauty, of Love. That is present because of this conditioned mind, this conditioned pattern of feeling and thinking we all have. Unless something new happens – and this something new is our proposal here for you, the Awakening of Consciousness or the flowering of your Being in Spiritual Enlightenment – our life condition will always be this old condition, where there is no Beauty, no Love. So, we will explore and investigate with you here today, inquire into this together.

How to realize This? How can we become aware of what we bring beyond this programming, this training, and everything we receive from society, the world, and culture, beyond this psychological condition of being “someone” in this world? That is what we refer to as psychological conditioning; it is that conditioned mind. A free mind is not possible as long as this conditioning of the mind continues and maintains itself. A free mind is one completely free from this condition of mental conditioning, mind conditioning. So, we have the possibility of the Truth of our Being revealing itself when there is this free mind, or else we will continue within this pattern of mind conditioning and, therefore, within this principle of separateness, where there is always this sense of “life and I,” “the other and I,” “the world and I.” That explains this condition of psychological disorder, emotional confusion, sentimental disturbance, and this chaotic state of intellect trapped within this pattern of inner conditioning. Then, there is no intelligence, no flow of this ability to perceive life without that background, that history, that memory, that pattern that, in turn, makes us aggressive, violent, and possessive creatures.

What can you expect from a conditioned mind but confusion, disorder, and suffering? And if that is present, there is no vision of the Divine Truth. So, the importance of a mind free from psychological conditioning, free from this pattern of the identity of the “I,” of egoic identity, is because, now, what is present is this religious mind. Here, I use the word religious or religious mind differently than we understand it. For us, religion is dogma, ritual, ceremony, the practice of chants, the reading of sacred books, or the exercise of so-called “religious” activities carried out by the “I,” this “me,” this “person,” by this entity that I believe to be. Thus, for us, the religious life, the “religious person,” the one who has a religious mind is the one who is within an esoteric, spiritualist, mystical practice, surrounded by rituals, beliefs, and dogmas; it is a life of the practice of religiosity.

Here I am referring to a religious mind, a true religious life. In that sense, this religious life in this religious mind is a free mind and a life free from dogmas, rituals, ceremonies, and so-called “religious” practices. Here I am referring to a heart free from egocentrism and a mind free from psychological, philosophical, spiritual, political, and above all, religious conditioning. A mind entirely free from conditionings is in contact with a reality outside the “I,” the ego, and therefore outside this context of society that lives psychologically in corruption, in fear, in all forms of internal and psychological confusion, within that principle of hypocrisy also religious, political, philosophical, or psychological. So, understand what we are talking about here and what we refer to a religious mind, a religious life, a life free from the “I,” the ego, and, therefore, from fear and all this confusion that has become our lives, the story of our lives.

We follow principles of morality, we follow philosophical, political, so-called “religious” and “spiritual” principles, and yet we remain trapped in every form of inner confusion, inner suffering; we are envious, possessive, jealous creatures, clinging to that life experience, where the center of that experience remains as our “I,” our ego. So, this basis of existence where the “I” is the center of this life – which constitutes this egocentrism – can take the varnish of spirituality, religiosity, social morality, or philosophical principle, but all of this still consists in an egoic state bound to illusion and, therefore, to suffering. And if this is present, there is no Love, Beauty, Truth, no such Reality of God.

We need to understand this here, and I have been emphasizing this a lot for you: we use the words “love,” “truth,” “God,” and “religious life” very easily, but all of these are empty of their real deep meaning. These were emptied of this profound meaning because our lives in the ego, in this mental conditioning, this psychological conditioning – which is an inheritance of society, of the world, of culture, of tradition from our ancestors – this psychological condition of being “someone” has completely emptied that content, has given new meaning to words like Love, Beauty, Truth, God. So, for us, the idea of “love,” “truth,” “beauty,” and “God,” is full of this old content of the “I,” the ego.

We do not know what Love is; we know what encounters and relationships between people are; people who, in turn, are living each one of them centered on oneself, interested in oneself, each one lives within one’s ego-identity pattern, separated from each other, this is how our lives have been constituted in the “I,” in the ego. So, we can use expressions like “love” – for us, there is this “love” for the family, for the homeland, the flag, children, animals, and nature – but that is just a romantic, sentimental word. We sing, we make poetry, and we make declarations about this “love,” but the real content of this so-called “love” is something burdened, heavy with selfishness, arrogance, dependency, and idealism. It is just the ideal of love; this “love” is just an idea. In practice, self-centered, interested in ourselves, living this egocentrism; all we want is to take advantage, possess others, and gain something from them. So, the word “love” was emptied of its content, or rather, we put new content to that word, and talk and sing about it. That also goes for the word “God.” “My God is different from your God,” “In my religion, in my practice of religious life, my vision of what is the Truth of God, the doctrine that I follow is the true one, yours is false, so my God is real, yours is not.” So, there is all this hostility, all this confusion, this internal ideological conception.

Our model, our ego behavior, is something completely distorted, a facade, a veneer, a matter of appearance. This “love,” this religion, this sense of beauty, all of this is in appearance, in superficiality; it is in that veneer because, internally, we remain arrogant, presumptuous little creatures full of fear, full of desires, always busy with our own “I,” our own ego. All this is present because there is no free mind, but, yes, this conditioned mind.

The Truth of God, of your Being, is revealed when the mind free of all that content, emptied of all that ordinary conditioning content. When we talk to you here about a new mind, we refer to a free mind that knows the art of silence and stillness, that has come closer to the Truth of Meditation. That free mind is a meditative mind. The meditative mind is free from the mind of this “I,” this egoic, conditioned mind. We do not receive it in childhood; we need to learn the art of Being-Consciousness-Bliss, which is Beauty and Love. So, we need to learn about this free mind and how to realize it in ourselves, how we become aware of this Realization of our own Being, which requires a mind that has been entirely emptied of that ancient, old psychological content of the “I,” the ego, that illusory center.

So, our approach here happens when we discover what it is to learn about ourselves; then, we need to investigate, observe, inquire, and approach all this internal movement within each of us, something that we have already been carrying for some years – if you are forty, fifty, sixty years old – but, in fact, it is a much more delicate condition because this is millenary inside each one of us. Thus, we have a conditioned brain because of that conditioned mind; when we learn how to look, inquire, and investigate this movement of the “I,” of the ego, we are, for the first time, learning about ourselves and emptying ourselves of this old content, which is the content of the ego. Then, the mind goes through a new process, being deconditioned. The unconditioned mind is the mind being emptied of its old mental conditioning, its old psychological conditioning. So, there is a change in the brain in the way it works. Our brain works, in this psychological conditioning, in this egoic mind programming, within a mistaken learning, which is a learning by accumulating information, knowledge and experiences and constantly reacting from this knowledge and experiences in this present moment based on this background. When it happens, we are reinforcing the sense of ego, the sense of “I.”

Our model of learning through experience, knowledge, and through this accumulation, responding to this present moment with this background, always upholds the continuity of the “I,” of the ego; therefore, this egoic mind sustains itself, this conditioned mind remains, this brain stuck in that program remains the same. Here, our proposal is for you to look at yourself. That is when the mind can observe its own movement and perceive that it is conditioned. Clearly, it cannot do this if it is always mistaking itself for this identity of “I” that arises when a thought, a feeling, a sensation, or a perception arises. But when the mind can, in silence, in stillness, look at this movement of thought, feeling, and sensation arising without placing that “I” element that judges thought, evaluates, compares, rejects; if we approach this way of look, the brain quiets down, the mind goes into stillness. That is when the mind becomes aware of itself; this is learning about yourself. So, we need a mind capable of looking without creating an identity in that look, without sustaining another identity in that look; this is when the mind begins to experience Freedom.

So, here we are working with you on the art of True Meditation in a practical way, which results from a free mind, a mind that knows how to approach and observe the conditioning movement without putting an identity into it. Here on the channel, we have been talking about this, how to do this, and how a mind can become aware of itself, of this whole movement of the “I” without placing this “I” within this movement. Then, this movement of the “I” without the “I” in this movement is just an experience, a thought, a feeling, an emotion, an image that arises, a memory. When the “I” element does not appear, there is no reaction. When there is not that reaction because there is not that “I” doing, there is no thinker thinking, no observer observing, that one who feels feeling. Notice how simple this is.

When is the thinker thinking? When he is judging, comparing, evaluating, rejecting, or continuing with that thought because he is identifying with it. That’s when the thinker arises within thought. When does the sense of an “I” who feels the feeling arise? It is when that sense of “I” says, “I don't want this,” “I don't like this,” or “This is wonderful.” So, any response from reaction to a feeling is the presence of the “I,” of the ego, of the one who feels; any response or reaction to a thought is the presence of the “I,” the ego, the thinker. So, if we learn this here and now, how to approach a thought without judging, without comparing, without rejecting, without giving continuity to it, but just observing it, there will be an observation, but there will be no “I,” no observer. It is when thought does not sustain itself. Notice that every time a thought comes up and you pay attention to it, what happens to it? Right now, observe as you listen to us here, if a thought comes up, you just look at it, do not agree, do not disagree, do not reject, do not evaluate, do not believe or disbelieve that thought. What happens to that thought? It does not sustain itself, and why? Because there is no thinker. It is that simple; it is just a thought. We do not learn that in life, how to deal with thoughts, feelings, and emotions. We always involve the egoic mind in the process, identifying with thought, putting the thinker present; with emotion, putting one who likes or dislikes that given emotion, and that perpetuates the “I,” the ego, the conditioned mind, then there is no free mind.

So, what is Meditation? It is an approach free to experience without the “I,” the thinker, the experiencer, without the one who feels; it is a free approach to experience without the conditioned mind. Then, what comes into focus now is that free mind. That free mind is something present when there is that Attention. As we approach experience, just remain here and now, aware, not saying yes or no, not accepting or rejecting. Thus, now you add something new, which is Mindfulness. That is the presence of the mind free to learn, and here learning is not accumulating more information, knowledge, experience, but something happening here and now, learning about yourself, how these reactions have taken over this mind, this body. You bring into that moment the presence of that Mindfulness, that free mind; it is when that deconditioning takes place, when that mind is deconditioned, then a new process arises in the brain. The awareness of your reactions is the end of those reactions, then the mind is aware of itself, and when that happens, the Truth of Real Consciousness arises. It is no longer that mental consciousness, not that consciousness of the “I,” not that egoic mind anymore, now I refer to that Real Consciousness. It is free now, present in this brain, in this mind, and then there is the end of the “I,” the end of the ego.

Here on our channel, we are working with you on the art of Being Consciousness, which is this True Meditation. We have a playlist here on this topic. It occurs simultaneously with this approach to the Real, to True Self-Awareness – another playlist on our channel. That is our subject here on this channel; if this is something that makes sense to you, write down in the comment: “Yes, it makes sense,” leave your “like” and subscribe to the channel. I want to remind you: we also have online meetings; in the video description, you find our WhatsApp group. So, here is the invitation for you to approach and participate in these online meetings. In addition, we have face-to-face meetings and also retreats. So, it is available to you, and the invitation is there. Ok?

Thanks for the meeting, and see you!

Joel Goldsmith | The Master Speaks | The Contemplative Life | Master Gualberto

Gilson – Hello, everyone! We're here for another videocast, and once again Master Gualberto is here with us. Thank you, Master, for your presence here with us to bring us what it's like to experience this Real State, what it's like to be free from suffering.

Master, today I'm going to read an excerpt from Joel's book called “The Master Speaks.” And in this book, there's a chapter that Joel calls “Meditation and Healing,” and in the first part of the chapter Joel says the following: “Meditation is the secret of all this work.”

And on the subject of meditation, Master, Joel Goldsmith himself – he even has a book called “The Contemplative Life” – instigates this “state of meditation” a lot. Master, can you tell us a bit about what this True Meditation is?

Master – The matter of Meditation is that Meditation is the Truth of what your Being represents. Your Being, here I am referring to the Truth of your Essential Nature; not that psychophysical being that we identify when we use the expression “I.” This “I” carries this “my,” “mine.” This notion of this “I” in this psychophysical being is the notion of the ego, of this identity that separates itself from life, from experience, which is why it has the expression “I” and “my.” When we refer here to the matter of Meditation, we are pointing to this Real Being, which is not this psychophysical being; it is the Reality of our Essential Nature.

So, the expression “Contemplative Life,” in this awareness of the Truth of your Being, represents a life free of the ego, so this is True Meditation, this is Real Contemplative Life. The Contemplative Life, Gilson, is the Life where the sense of an “I” is not present in that living. Becoming aware of a quality of life in which the “I,” the ego, is not present. This ego is the one that says: “I,” “my,” “mine,” “I and experience,” “I and living,” “I and feeling,” “I and doing.” None of this is present when Life as It Is, in that Real Being that we truly are, Reveals Itself.

So, the matter of Meditation is the awareness of this Being. This Being is true Consciousness, which is true Happiness present when the “I,” the ego, is no longer there. So, it's not a question, Gilson, of something you're going to do, but of something that is present when you, the “I,” the ego is not. That's why it's a matter of coming closer, of looking at oneself, where that sense of an “I,” which separates itself, is no longer present; so it's a look without the one who looks.

We, in general, are having experiences from this experiencer; we are seeing things from this one who looks, feeling things from this one who feels, and here the challenge is to face life without this element. This element is the center of experience, the center of observation, the center of feeling. This “I” is an illusory center.

So, in this work here, we are proposing that you become aware that this “me,” this “I,” this center, this observer, the one who is also the experiencer, is an illusion. Getting closer to oneself in order to study oneself is part of true Meditation, part of Real Meditation. Without this, Gilson, we don't have Meditation, we have meditative practices, therapeutic meditation practices.

So, one practices meditation to achieve well-being, to achieve mental health, to achieve peace, psychological stillness. Of course, this is all temporary because, if this egoic identity model is still present, you only have moments like this. These moments are similar to any other moment when you're not really stressed, anxious, worried and suffering. In this sense, Gilson, all practices are only temporary refuges for a pain that is present, which is this pain of the sense of the “I,” of the ego, of the sense of separation. That's why we have to investigate very clearly the truth about Meditation.

We discover the Truth of Meditation by becoming aware of what mere technical, practical meditation is, the meditation of refuge, the meditation where you temporarily distance yourself from a given situation. Then, by investigating illusion, we can truly have access to Reality. The awareness of non-truth shows the Revelation of Truth, so discovering what Meditation is requires the end of everything we know. So, the Truth of approaching the Revelation of this Real Being, this Divine Consciousness is Meditation, and this requires the end of this “I,” this ego within this movement, which is the movement of life. And that's what we're investigating here.

Gilson – Master, within the practice of meditation, before I met the Master, I had been practicing for years, I had been practicing meditation: early in the morning, in the middle of the morning, in the middle of the afternoon, at night. And, for example, if in the morning I didn't manage to wake up early enough to do that meditation, I would spend the rest of the day thinking of guilt, thinking “oh, I didn't do my part.” And then I'd be in a conflict of internal guilt because I hadn't done a practice early in the morning and I'd spend the rest of the day without observing that thought, without seeing that activity, and still with a process of guilt. And then the Master brings this True Meditation and I see how far I was from a Real Meditation; it was just a process where I did a practice, stopped, and at that moment I had a pseudo “peace” or a temporary relief from the pressure of thought, but as soon as I left, it was back or, when I couldn't wake up early, for example, to meditate, I spent the rest of the day under pressure for not having done my part. It turns out I have to laugh, because it's like a dog chasing its tail, isn't it?

Master – It's because the illusion, Gilson, in us is the illusion of “someone” within the doing, within the achievement, within the practice. So, for us – at least we've learned this out there – practice is done by “someone.” In fact, in life, our notion is the notion of “someone” present within any experience, doing something, and meditation couldn't be any different. So, “if I can do something, I can also meditate,” “if I can stop doing, I can do.” Our notion is the notion of an “I” present within the experience.

The Real Vision of Life occurs when, precisely, this “I,” which is the doer, is no longer present, then Life is Revealed as something happening now, here, with an event without the experiencer. This is something that requires a new approach, Gilson, this matter of Meditation. Right now, here, this speaking, this listening, the understanding of this speech, this can't just be on an intellectual level, on a verbal level, because if in this speaking the sense of separation is present, in this listening the sense of separation is present, in this understanding, the mere intellect putting words together is present, what we have present is still an illusory sense of an “I” present within experience, and this experience here is life.

So, what is Meditation? It's the absence of this experiencer. So, in this instant, we're in front of this Being, in front of Life, in front of Meditation, in other words, we're not sitting cross-legged with our eyes closed, listening to a song, we're just in this instant in the movement of life itself, without the “I” element, the ego present, without the element that is involved within experience, wanting to mold, change, do something with what is here.

So, the Truth of Meditation is the presence of Life without that element which is the “I”; it is the presence of experience without the experiencer, which represents a Pure experiencing of Life taking place. So, it's something that requires the absence of the movement of the “I.” However, in illusion, which is the illusion of the “I” itself, we are creating techniques, practices, and systems to access This, which is impossible. What we will achieve as a result is just something that will temporarily quieten the brain, relax, but without a vision of the Reality of Life, without the “I,” without the ego, which is the purpose of the Truth of Meditation. So, we have to take a different approach, Gilson, if we really want to discover the Truth about who we are, which is the Truth of this Being, this Beauty, this true Consciousness.

We've been emphasizing this here: I'm referring to this true Consciousness; it's not this consciousness of the “I,” it's not this life of the “I” and therefore it's not this practice of the “I.” You just put it this way: when you didn't do “meditation,” when you weren't doing “meditation,” that same “I” that wasn't practicing was now feeling guilty because it hadn't done it. Meditation Awareness is the absence of this “I,” and this is now, in this instant. So, what is the Real moment for Meditation? This one. What is True Meditation? It's the presence of the Truth without the “I,” now revealing itself.

You might say: “But that sounds too complicated or too difficult.” In fact, we're dealing with something that isn't so simple, it is not simple, but approaching it directly in another way isn't so complicated either. It's just a matter of becoming aware of what's here, right now, looking at this movement of thought, feeling, sensation, perception, and speech when we're talking, gestures when we're gesturing. Just to be aware of it, to look at it, without adding an element of will, of desire, of wanting to alter it, change it, make it different, which only represents bringing awareness to this instant, without interfering in what is showing itself here. So, in a certain way, this is simple; in another way, it requires an energy that, in general, we haven't given ourselves. So, that's why it seems very complicated to us.

The awareness of the Truth of Meditation is now, in this instant. It doesn't require a special moment, a special physical posture, it doesn't require anything at all. In fact, when we put this within meditation, we artificialize the whole process, since it is contact with this instant, it is contact with life as it shows itself that reveals Meditation; it is contact with the movement of thought as it shows itself, of feelings as they show themselves, of the way of perceiving life.

Gilson – Master, for me, after I had this contact with the Master, and the Master brings this revolutionary concept of Meditation, which is True Meditation at every moment – it's only now that you need to meditate – and then it was a great liberation for me, because there was this process of guilt, of pressure to do a practice, and now there is no longer this need. And then, even in an example that I've already mentioned in a videocast, when sometimes the kids are playing, there's a mess here with the kids, instead of escaping and running to the bedroom to “meditate,” if there's an impulse of anger, an energy of anger, I stay there, in the middle of the mess, and observe that restlessness, that energy of being bothered by the situation. And that's the moment of True Meditation: being with that energy and not wanting to divide oneself from it, thinking it's bad to be angry and so on, isn't that Master?

Master – Exactly! This isn't about getting rid of anger. You just said that. It's not about getting rid of anger, because our inclination is to disapprove of what we don't approve of because it seems negative, because it sounds negative, because it seems unspiritual. We want to get rid of it, so we disapprove in order to get rid of it, we disapprove in order to reject it from us. Contact with what is present here and now – and this is the purpose of Meditation – is not to rid ourselves of experience – look how interesting that is – but to become aware of this element that is the experiencer. This element is the one that comes from the past. So, let's put this clearly for you.

Anger is present, fear is present, the pain of envy is present; to become aware of this moment, to become aware of yourself in this moment, is to become aware of this. Only by becoming aware of this does it become clear that an element arises, which is the experiencer, that wants to get rid of this; and when we are aware of this that is here, and we don't feed this experiencer, what is present now, here, this experience in this format of fear, of anger, this energy dissipates, there is a profound change in this whole structure – which is the structure of the “I,” of the ego – when it is not sustained, when this experiencer is not sustained in this experience. That, Gilson, is what we need to discover for ourselves in this instant, in Meditation.

So, becoming aware of experience without the experiencer is the key. Becoming aware of looking at it without the observer is the end of this psychological condition of the “I,” of the ego. And if this dissolves here, this experience undergoes a profound change, then, yes, there is a break in the continuity of this movement of fear, of anger. This state is undone, because, in this instant, this awareness of Being is present, this Real Consciousness is Revealed, and this is Meditation, this is now, in this instant.

So, you're not running away, you're not repressing, you're not judging, nor trying to change what arises. At that moment, this sense of “I” is disappearing. Something new is emerging. This Something new is no longer the presence of “Gilson,” it is Something new, Unknown, outside of this “Gilson” with his reactions, which are the reactions of this experiencer who is always repeating himself; in situations similar to these, he is always repeating himself with the same little pattern of anger, fear, emotional, and psychological pain.

So, the work of Self-Awareness is simultaneously the vision of the Truth of Meditation. So, the work of Self-Awareness is the clear vision of the true Meditation Revealing Itself now, in this instant. So, we have to discover Life Revealing Itself, without the element of “I,” ego, the experiencer. So, these aspects that arise, which are still aspects of this experiencer's experience, which arise at this moment, need to be seen; and we can't see this, Gilson, sitting in a room, listening to soft music, with our legs crossed. It's here, right now, driving the car, going to work, dealing with family and children. You see? It's in living, it's in the moment, it's in this instant, it's here that life is showing itself as it is, it's here that you're discovering, learning, realizing, becoming aware of this Truth, which is the Divine Truth, and this is Meditation.

Gilson – Master, after I met the Master, with this innovative concept about Meditation, I was able to realize that there was a situation that had been repeating itself in my life for twenty years, and even with many years of “meditation,” I always ended up falling into a flow of thoughts that generated problems and I ran from them; I ran to try to solve them or I ran away through practices. And it's funny that with this Vision of the Master and this True Meditation, instead of running away when this non-conformity arose, this problem, I became aware of it, and it's bizarre how there was a trigger that would start to bring up a flow of thoughts and I'd get into those flows of thoughts, and then I'd be depressed and so on. And then, with this sharing of the Master's Consciousness, in the True Meditation, I began to realize that the streams of thoughts would start and, the moment I could see them, it was kind of funny, because this “blah, blah, blah” would come and it would dissipate. So, it's really something indescribable when this True Meditation happens, because the naughtiness and trickery of thought that “overtook” us won't take us anymore, because there won't be “someone” who might be taken, right Master?

Master – It's simple, Gilson. Unconsciousness is what sustains the ego's patterns. The Truth about the ego is the movement of unconsciousness, of thought. We live within a pattern of unconsciousness, of not knowing this inner movement of emotions, feelings, sensations, perceptions, and, of course, thoughts. Not being aware of the Truth of What we are in this living places us in a condition of illusory identity present in experience, wanting to change, alter, interfere, do something with what is here. To become aware of this movement, which is the movement of the “I,” to become aware of it, is to understand Something that is outside this condition of separation, of duality. That is the end of this unconsciousness.

We live, Gilson, within a program, within a model of society, of culture, of the world, doing, feeling, acting, and thinking like everyone else, like everyone else is doing, like everyone else around us. This is a conditioning; cultural conditioning, physical conditioning, emotional conditioning, feeling and mental conditioning – what we've been calling here psychological conditioning. So, we are actually completely unaware of the Truth of what we are, of what Life is, and naturally of what the other is. This is unhappiness, it carries these consequences of anguish, fear, and suffering.

So, we live in ignorance, we live in illusion. In this condition, we are asleep. So, the condition of the human being is one of profound unconsciousness and, therefore, of sleep. In this sleep, one is dreaming, in this dream, one is living a nightmare, because the human condition of life, without this awareness of the Divine Reality, which is the Reality of Love, Peace, Freedom, and Happiness that is God, the human being is completely lost in his dream of life. So, we spend forty, seventy, eighty years of our lives in this condition.

So, what is this Awakening? What is this awareness of the Reality of God? It's being free of the ego in this life, in this true contemplation of Reality. To have an approximation of oneself, to live this Truth of That which is You in your Being is the awareness of who the other is, of what Life truly represents, in all that Grace, Beauty, Completeness, Fullness, and Abundance.

We were born, Gilson, to realize This in this life, that's the only purpose. There is no purpose in life. We've been saying it: there is no purpose in life. People are looking for a purpose in their lives. Life is its own purpose. It's not someone's personal purpose. Life is its own purpose, but it's not the particular life of “me.” This disappears when the Reality of Life, in its purpose, is fulfilled, and it is fulfilled when the sense of ego, of “I” is not. Such a life is the Life of God Revealing Itself, it is the Life of that Being. That is Love, that is Happiness. That's it.

Gilson – Master, our time is up. Thank you for another meeting, another videocast.

And for you who are watching the video, please give a like, make a comment, this helps Youtube's algorithm to recognize that the content is relevant and to be able to distribute it to more people. And also, especially for you who feel something different when you look into the eyes of the Master, Marcos Gualberto, whom we call Master... We call him Master because what he says, he's not bringing something he's learned, something he's repeating from books, it's something he lives – this State of Freedom, this State of True Meditation – and he shares that with us through the Satsangs – which are weekend meetings, both online and in person, and even retreats – a deepening of this investigation. And then, for those who take part, we have the opportunity to end up entering this atmosphere of stillness that Marcos finds himself in; it's a state that only by living can we get a glimpse of what this True Meditation really is, where there is only Meditation, there is no “someone” meditating. And it's a Grace, it's speechless.

Master, thank you for another videocast!

What are we seeking? Mental consciousness. Real Consciousness. True Meditation. Your Divine Nature

The question is: what are we seeking? What are we actually looking for? Is it happiness, peace, love, freedom, spirituality, or God? Notice: there is a list of things we are looking for; these things, here and now, have an impalpable aspect – freedom, happiness, love, God, and truth. And there is another list of tangible things we are also looking for, a house, a car, a relationship. There is always the search for something in all of us, some are palpable, and others are not. But the question is: why do we seek what we are seeking? Why are we looking for what we are looking for? What are we looking for behind this we are looking for? What drives us to this quest? What turns us to this search?

What, in fact, are we trying to find in this search, in this encounter with what we are looking for?

We have a list of tangible things and another of intangible things, a list of things we can touch and another we cannot, but we have idealized this seek, this search, and we put ourselves towards it. Now we have something to verify with you here: do we actually know what this represents? This, what we look for, what we search for. We use the word “spirituality,” some people seek spirituality, others search for God, so we use the word God; others seek love, happiness, and peace, these are expressions we use, but do we know what this really means?

We know what the tangible things we are looking for are; we know what a relationship is – or we believe we do – a house, a car, a marriage, a family. All of these are projections within each of us. The mind in us projects these tangible things and also the intangible ones, but we actually don't know. If we apparently know what we are looking for, we actually don't know why we are looking for it, what we are looking for in what we seek. In other words, what does this really mean for us?

Everything we are looking for is actually the search for happiness. Everything we seek in life, we do it just to find happiness in it. The point is that we do not know what Happiness means. We are looking for love, but we do not know what Love means; we are looking for peace, but we do not know what Peace means. For us, love is what we find in a relationship with the other, what fulfills and satisfies us for a while, and when that stops fulfilling and satisfying us, we get rid of that so-called “love” to find another “love.” So, we mistake this encounter with Truth, which is Love – or the Truth of Love – for these encounters in relationships. As far as happiness is concerned, it is these encounters with what fulfills and satisfies us on an emotional level and makes us happy, only for a while as well, until it wears off, and we get tired of this so-called “happiness” to go in search of another “happiness.” What we also call peace is an idea we have about it when we relax, are quiet, and are not in conflict, we call that “the moment of peace” until it is broken by some form of conflict.

So, peace, love, and happiness are ideas we carry within us, beliefs we have about it, and we are looking for it. As far as God is concerned, we fall into the same trap, same trick. Notice that all these are tricks of the mind itself, idealizing, creating, projecting, and imagining this. All these kinds of things the mind imagines, idealizes, and goes in search, seeks, and after finding it, what it finds is temporary fulfillment and satisfaction. In fact, human beings are looking for something that in this search movement they know is a temporary search for fulfillment and satisfaction. Then, there is a quest within each of us, a search within each of us for Happiness, Truth, God, and Love. You see, we use the same words the mind knows within its common pursuit of fulfillment and satisfaction, but we put these expressions here with a different meaning. We are pointing to something outside the mind itself, outside that satisfaction itself, and temporary fulfillment the person, this “I,” this ego, is looking for.

The work here consists of investigating the Truth of what we are and, naturally, verifying the Truth about what, in fact, we are looking for. We are looking for ourselves, the Reality of our Being. In our Being is that Love, that Happiness, that Freedom, the Truth of God; it is That which, in the end, we are looking for or seeking. This is not a temporary fulfillment or satisfaction, but rather the Realization of Something outside of this known condition, this time that the mind knows, that thought knows, that puts us in this condition of temporary fulfillment and satisfaction. That is the time I have been calling psychological time. The human being is looking for something within time; that’s why we use expressions like “happiness is a fleeting thing.” Yes, that is the experience of the egoic mind, that mental consciousness. In that psychological time, all we know living in this identification with the “I,” with the ego, in the egoic mind, is fulfillment and pleasure in satisfaction, and we call it “happiness.” This temporary fulfillment and satisfaction in some form of pleasure we call “happiness”; that momentary fulfillment and satisfaction in some form of stillness, of emotional tranquility, we call “peace”; and that fulfillment and satisfaction in some form of affective, emotional, sentimental, or sexual gratification we call “love.”

Here we are pointing to you: the Truth that What we are looking for, we do not know, and what we know and are looking for is not the truth we are searching for. So, we are here under a trick of the ego itself; it has idealized, designed, and put itself in search of something we believe is what we are actually looking for. The egoic mind is a big mistake, a lie within each one of us. We identify with this “I,” this ego we assume we are; we are giving identity to what we believe to be, which is this “I,” this ego, the egoic mind, and it carries all of this. All it does is within a search for what it knows, so it is inevitable that all this idealized, created, mind-projected search is towards an illusion, the illusion of temporary satisfaction and fulfillment at some level of achievement, which it calls “love,” “peace,” “happiness,” or “God.”

In this matter of God, a mystical experience, a so-called “spiritual” experience, contact with that so-called “spirituality” the mind seeks, it calls this “encounter with God,” rituals, ceremonies, mystical practices, a contact with something apparently outside the mind within a delightful experience, a pleasant, wonderful, so-called “Divine” experience. We are under a big trap, a big trick created by the mind, supported by this egoic mind.

What is the truth about ourselves? That is the door that carries a key, the Truth about ourselves; the understanding of the Truth about ourselves is this encounter with that Being that transcends this body, this mind, and all this particular vision of the “I,” this consciousness of the “I,” the mind, the ego. This contact with the Reality of your Being is the contact with Truth, Happiness, Freedom, Love, and God. Now, you need to understand something: this contact – which is what happens when you become aware of the Truth about yourself – is not a contact between two things, between you and God. The acknowledgment of the Reality of your Being is the acknowledgment of the Truth that the only Reality present is the Reality of God. Then a door opens, and that door reveals What we are really looking for.

All human beings are really looking for is to come back home. Here it is paradoxical because we have never left home, and yet we are all in exile, outside of our origin, our place of origin – we are at home, but we are not aware of this home that is present. So, we all feel exiled, out of our space, of our place of origin. This contact or this Revelation of your Being is a door that opens and now reveals What, in fact, every human being is searching or looking for, the Truth of Love, Peace, Freedom, Happiness, and God. That is the Reality of Spirituality; it is not of “someone spiritual,” but rather the verification of the Natural Mystery, of this Real Consciousness, Presence, Being, the Truth of your Divine Nature. This is what we are looking for. This is what we are seeking.

Here, together with you, we are working on this issue of ending this sense of “I,” of ego, this contact with this door to walk through, to become aware of the truth behind this illusion, which is the sense of an “I,” of a separate identity in this illusory, idealistic search, in this programmed and planned search within this dream, this illusion of being able to find within your own mind What, actually, is beyond the mind. So, the Reality of what we seek is not within the mind, the known, not within that imagination that we have in our minds about love, peace, happiness, spirituality, and God, absolutely not. It is the end of all this, the end of what is known, of imagination; it is the encounter with this Truth that interests us.

Thus, this contact with your Being is the simple Revelation of your Being, of the only Reality present, the end of this sense of “I,” and the key that opens this door is the Truth of Self-Awareness when we pay attention to this movement of the “I,” when we begin to observe ourselves, our reactions, feelings, thoughts, including our gestures, our tone of voice, our way of addressing people and relating to the world around us. When we start to bring awareness to ourselves, we are paying attention to ourselves, here and now, so we come across this door, and we have the key, and this reveals this Self-Awareness, this attention we place on ourselves at that moment, on what is going on here and now. Then, it is not about seeking, searching, or leaving this place for another place, but rather about becoming aware here and now.

We do not place time as a factor for the Realization of this Truth. To open this door, we eliminate the illusion of time, thus we eradicate the illusion of the quest, the search, the illusion of “leaving here to go to some other place,” and we begin to notice here and now, at this instant, all this movement of the “I” within us, all this movement of ego-identity, all these motives and reasons for this illusory identity. When we begin to observe in ourselves the presence of fear, anguish, anxiety, worry, all of our programmed behavior within egocentrism, restlessness, concerns, and actions based on memory reactions, when we investigate our egocentrism, when we look at it, when we approach that look at ourselves, at that moment of attention there is an approach to the Truth of Self-Awareness.

So, this key carries with it what I have been putting here on the channel – we have a playlist about it – which is the presence of True Meditation. It is something fundamental for realizing the Truth of your own Being, this contact with the Reality outside the mind, outside the “I,” the ego, this vision of yourself, the discard of this ego-identity that comes in this Full Attention on ourselves, in that contact with the Truth of Self-Awareness and in the revelation of True Meditation; this contact with the Truth that transcends this psychological time, this sense of an “I,” of a separate identity in this quest, in this search for something that this “I,” this ego imagines.

Here on the channel, we have been talking about the importance of this True Meditation in a practical way because it is something fundamental for this Realization, for this True verification of what we are looking for, searching for. That contact with the Truth of your Being is all that matters, then that door opens because we have the key to this Attention on ourselves, of Self-Awareness, of True Meditation. That door opens, and what is Real shows, reveals itself as the Nature of Happiness, the Nature of Being, Peace, Love, and God. That is contact with the Awakening of Consciousness or Spiritual Enlightenment.

That is our subject here on the channel; everything you are seeking or searching for is not what you are looking for; it is not what you are really looking for. Your real quest or search is for the end of that quest and search; it consists of the Realization of that Happiness, which I have called the Reality of your Being, Consciousness, and Happiness. So, this contact with the Reality of your Being is the one with the Reality of What is outside time and, therefore, this sense of “I.” Then, our search comes true when there is no more search, when Reality, the Truth of your Being, reveals itself as Love, Peace, Freedom, and Happiness. Ok?

This is the subject here within our channel. If this is something that makes sense to you, leave your “like” and subscribe to the channel. I want to remind you: we have online, face-to-face meetings, and also retreats, where we are working with those who approach. We have our WhatsApp group in the video description, okay?

See you! Thanks for the meeting!
