Hello guys! Welcome to another meeting here on our channel.
We’re talking to you about this Understanding of Truth, this issue of thought.
Dealing with Life as It happens here and now doesn’t require thought, it requires Consciousness. For this to be clear, you need to learn how to deal with What is.
We need thought for very basic, very simple goals. If you're not home and you need to go home, you need thought. You need remembrance, memory to remember where you live – you have to get home.
If you have to go to the bakery, you have to remember where the bakery is, you need a memory map in your brain to know where the bakery is. So, thinking is necessary, yes, at different levels of our lives, in different areas of our lives. You need it professionally, in relationships with family or business… When dealing with different subjects, you need thought and memory.
This quality of thinking is essential to this dream we call life, but there is a level in us where thinking is not only expendable but completely useless and pain-inducing – it’s at the psychological level. For example, remembering who created bitterness and suffering. So, for example, the thought of sorrow, resentment, rancor; the thought that causes or sustains anguish, the pain of loneliness; thoughts that represent depressive conditions that are associated with anxiety or fear… What place does thought have in us?
This quality of thinking is all based on psychological memory, on the condition of the ego-identity, this “person” you believe to be. Thus, we discover together that it is possible to go beyond thought. A life free from thought is a life free from suffering.
Thought doesn’t deal with the present moment; it deals with the past. It is something completely useless here and now, the remembrance of someone who has offended you, who has hurt you, saddened you. This “someone” is an image you have now, at this instant. He or she is not here and now, is not a living reality.
So, that fire is gone. What we have now is ash; it’s not fire, it’s ash! The ashes are present, the fire is gone. What you have here and now, in the remembrance, in the memory, in the image, inside yourself, of someone who offended you… Who is this someone who offended you? Ashes. Who is this one who feels oneself offended? Also an image. This is completely useless here and now.
In general, we cultivate this image – the image of who we believe we are here and now – and these memories that arise, which are mere ashes of a fire that has already happened – so suffering is present.
Then, we still feel angry, frustrated, or sad. This thought-feeling is something completely nonsense, completely purposeless; it’s a psychological condition of disorder, of insanity – to be here and now feeling sorrow, hurt, offended, sad, disappointed, frustrated with an image.
See, it’s a state of pain in you. It has nothing to do with others at this instant, at this present moment. The others don't even have the slightest idea what’s going on here with you right now.
The others are actually busy with themselves and with the problems they have. Thought is a problem; however, it’s your problem. They already have their problems.
Here, the goal is for you to know who You are, not who the other is; here, the goal is to know how you are, not how the other is doing; here, the problem is Realizing the Truth of your Being, What is You, and the solution to this problem lies in the question “who am I?” What is life here and now without this “I,” without this image – the image you have of yourself and the image you have of the other? What is it to live without these ashes? What is life here and now?
This example, you can extend to many others in your life. Notice that depression is associated with remembrances, memories, and imaginations. How to deal with depression? How to deal with anxiety?
People ask “how to overcome fear?” Anxiety, depression, and fear, the enemy, all require an image or a set of images; all require ashes, a lot of ashes, here and now, for this self-image. Without this self-image, without these ashes, there is no anxiety, no depression, no enemies, no “I,” there are no others.
Life is what happens here and now. Dealing with it means dealing with the fire and not the ashes.
Thought is an illusion, a fraud, a lie – I mean psychological thought. There is this background of psychological memory we cultivate, we worship, this memory we mistake ourselves for, we identify with – this is the psychological condition of the ego.
Human beings are born, grow up, have continuity of life for some time, grow old, get sick and die – or die before that – and they go through life without this Acknowledgement of the Truth about who they are. And what they are, is What is here and now. Here, the Now is this Consciousness – This is what You are.
A life free from the ego, from this sense of egoic mind, and therefore free from this psychological memory, this quality of remembrances, memories, is life in Love, Happiness, Peace, Freedom, and Intelligence. This is the Consciousness of God – some people call it Spiritual Enlightenment or Spiritual Awakening.
On this channel, we are working with those who approach. We also have online and face-to-face meetings, including retreats, to realize Happiness in this life.
Your Natural State is Love, Happiness – This is Enlightenment. This is the Awakening of Consciousness, the Realization of God. Each one gives a different name; there are many names for What, in fact, has no name.
Your Natural State of Intelligence, of Presence, of Freedom, is What you were born to Be, the Truth of God. Living in this life without being wounded, hurt, offended, or rejected anymore, means living free from that image. So, nothing else and no one else can touch you since you are no longer present there with this sense of an “I” that is always trying to protect itself, preserve itself, that is always carrying this weight, which is the weight of fear, looking through that sense of duality, in this “me and the other” idea, always having enemies and friends. Friends go away, or you are indifferent to them, or later, you become their enemy, and the enemies are already far away, distant, and you don't want to see them; you don't want to have any memory of them.
So, there is always a psychological, internal condition of contradiction, conflict, rejection, struggle, and suffering, because the ego is present, and the sense of “I” is present.
The work of Spiritual Awakening requires Self-Awareness and self-inquiry. The word is Atma Vichara – Ramana Maharshi’s expression for this self-observation. This work of Awakening requires Real Meditation, the True Meditation.
The contact with your Being is the end of this condition of duality; it is your Natural State which is Non-Duality, Non-Separateness. The word for This is Advaita – this is straight from Advaita Vedanta.
So, a true approach to the Truth about who You are brings the Awakening of this Presence, of this Consciousness, this Divine Energy some people call Kundalini, What makes possible a change in that structure, in that body-mind, for the Realization of the Truth about who You are.
The fact is that we spend a good part of our lives, since school period, struggling with thoughts. So, we spend a good part of our lives making choices from the standpoint of this false center, this “I.” Thus, we're fighting thoughts, fighting the images we make of people, welcoming some and rejecting others, and it’s all based on the image we make of who we believe we are. And the years come, and we grow and age within that condition, without the Awakening of the Truth about who we are.
Then, there’s this huge burden on us – the burden of memories, of recollections, a huge amount of ashes that we have to deal with, which is the past, within this illusion of being “someone,” this “me,” this “I,” this ego.
Ok?
If this is something that makes sense to you, that’s the subject here on our channel. You leave your “like” there and subscribe to the channel... Reminder: we have online meetings and also face-to-face meetings, including retreats, to deepen this and realize the Truth we are, which is the Truth of God, even in this life.
Ok? Thanks for the meeting and see you next time.
