Psychological escape | Psychological suffering | Awakening of Consciousness | Kundalini Awakening

The psychological pain escapes.

Why do we want to escape these psychological pains? What are these pains? We are before suffering. That’s what we're going to talk to you about right here, right now.

Is it possible for us to undergo a change, a transformation, so radical that all form of suffering disappears completely and definitively? If so, can we completely get rid of these escapes?

Human beings live on the run... escaping suffering. We have several means to escape these internal states of unhappiness. What states are these? Those we know very well: jealousy is a state like that, fear is a state like that, depression, anxiety, the pain of loneliness...

We don't understand what suffering is, and because of this lack of understanding, we are always inside that ancient movement of escaping from this suffering. These are the various escapes from these psychological pains.

What do we do to escape it? We go to drink, smoke, eat, and get involved with the issue of sex in relationships, extramarital affairs, and all kinds of behavior, in an attempt to escape this pain, this internal pain, this pain we don't understand since we don't approach it. This is psychological pain, psychological suffering.

Here and now, for a few minutes, let’s investigate what this suffering is. Why is this suffering present? In general, we attribute this suffering to something. Suffering is never something that stands alone. There’s this “I” always present, in every single form of internal suffering, or psychological suffering, and we always attribute the reason and cause of this suffering to the element external to ourselves.

When do we suffer? When a child dies, when a wife dies, when a relative or a loved one dies, we feel this pain, this suffering. We attribute this suffering, this pain, to the fact that he or she died. When he or she dies, we grieve. In fact, our suffering is because we have lost something that made a lot of sense for the existence of this identity that “is me.”

So, the presence of this suffering is being validated in our minds by the absence of the other, and not by our attachment, our desire, our fulfillment, or our satisfaction with the presence of the other.

While the other is present, he or she offers us some security, some satisfaction, some pleasure... he or she fulfills the need for this loneliness that is already here, for this lack, for this neediness that is already here. This is being fulfilled by that attachment, by the sensation of the other’s presence.

It’s always the suffering in us because of ourselves, and not because of others. It’s always the presence of identification, of personal identity, in this relationship with the other. The strengthening of this identity, the attachment of this identity, the desire of this identity, the fulfillment of this identity in the relationship with the other – that is the reason for suffering.

Suffering is not the other, it’s not the absence of the other; suffering is my pain, my lack, my loneliness, my neediness. This is something present in this sense of identity. It’s not the other, not the world, not life that makes us suffer. Suffering is something present because of the presence of the one who suffers.

Notice what we're saying. There’s no possibility of suffering without the presence of the one who suffers. It’s the “I,” the sense of “I” present is the real reason, the real cause of suffering. Suffering needs this element; it needs the sufferer. There’s nothing external making us suffer, absolutely nothing. No situation, no circumstance, no person, no incident, no event makes us suffer.

What makes us suffer is the presence of an identity that suffers. What makes us suffer is the presence of this “I.” It’s the presence of this “I” the reason, the cause, of this suffering; it’s the sense of “I” the reason for this suffering.

Can we finally get rid of suffering? To get rid of suffering, the first thing here is to stop placing, sustaining, and supplying this framework of duality, which is the presence of the “I” and the other in this experience of suffering. So, we have to eliminate the illusion that it’s the other, that the world exists, that life exists, and that there’s something beyond this “I.” “I am the suffering” – this is where suffering is sustained.

When we take out the other, we are left only with suffering. And when we are left alone with suffering, we realize that suffering is an emotional, sentimental, and psychological disorder. There’s no identity present to say: “I am suffering.” What we have now is just suffering, pain, the presence of pain, the energy of pain, the presence of disorder, of discomfort. This is present in that body and mind.

But now, we can no longer use the expression “I,” there’s no longer any need for us to use the expression “I” to name someone present suffering, precisely because there’s no longer any need to justify that suffering by using the other. Thus, the first thing here is to eliminate the illusion of the other being the reason, the cause, and when that is eliminated, the sense of “I” is also eliminated, we’re in direct contact with the pain – it’s the pain of loneliness, not “someone” in loneliness; it’s the pain of “someone” alone. It’s the pain that matters, not the sense of “someone” alone.

That “someone” is no longer having our attention, our interest, because it doesn't want to be protected, doesn't want to be guarded, to be fulfilled; it’s being seen. The illusion of an identity present, the pain of this “I,” is the pain. We no longer name this pain, we don’t call it anxiety, depression, anguish, or loneliness... It’s pain! It’s a pain in this body, in this mind. We stay in direct contact with the state itself and observe what happens.

When this duality, this separation, this desire to change this, no longer exists – because this “me,” this “I,” this “someone” is no longer important – when this occurs and the contact is direct with the experience, what we perceive is that this experience disappears, because it’s no longer being reinforced by feelings, thoughts, reasons, causes, justifications, remembrances, by memories. There’s nothing left to do since there’s no “someone” to do something with. This is the precise, perfect way to get in touch with pain, with this psychological pain.

So, now, we no longer call it suffering but rather psychological pain. Then, we can leave the expression of psychological pain and we are left with the experience, with the neurophysiologic sensation. And when there’s this contact on that level with this experience, it dissolves since there’s no longer that “me” element to cultivate the sufferer, to cultivate thoughts, stories, beliefs, conclusions about it, about that experience. This is the real way to deal with suffering.

How to deal with suffering? How to overcome suffering? How to get rid of suffering? These questions have been poorly formulated because we are always on the wrong principle. The idea is that there’s “someone” to win, “someone” to get rid of, “someone” to win a victory over suffering, and the point is that this “someone” is the illusion of suffering itself. Suffering is present because of the presence of an illusory identity, which is the ego.

Life as It is here and now, without the sense of an “I” present in what is here and now, doesn’t bear experience, doesn’t encompass suffering. The Reality present here and now, as It is, Life as It appears now, without the illusion of an identity seeking reasons, causes, explaining, rejecting, fighting facts as they are happening… without this identity, Life here doesn’t carry suffering.

Our work together is to discover the Truth about who we are, the Freedom of our own Being, which is Love, Peace, Happiness, and Intelligence. There’s no fear, no reasons, no causes, no conclusions, no attachments in What You are as Pure Consciousness.

Notice, we are pointing you to the end of suffering. It’s not liberation for “someone,” not “someone” free from suffering, but rather the liberation from the illusion of the presence of “someone,” and that’s the end of suffering.

The Spiritual Realization, the Awakening of Consciousness… The expression is “the Awakening of Consciousness,” because it is, in fact, the Awakening of What is You, which is Consciousness. You're sleeping while you're trapped, identifying yourself with the mental consciousness, which comprises that conscious and unconscious mind. This conscious and unconscious mind… We created this division, in psychology this division was created, but it’s only one thing.

The entire psychological conditioning, the whole process of information, experiences, remembrances, and memories kept, present, manifesting itself superficially in what we call the superficial mind, the conscious mind, and also having its most hidden, most confidential, most secret manifestations, in what we call the unconscious mind; however, we’re talking about one single process. We’re talking about this process which is the process of the “I,” the ego, “me,” of this egoic consciousness.

Here, it’s about that sense of “I” in the experience, the illusion of “someone” present. That conscious mind or that mental consciousness is that ego-identity.

Realizing the Truth of your Being is Realizing the Truth of your Essential Nature, of What transcends this conscious and unconscious mind, this mental consciousness. Thus, the end of suffering represents the end of all these forms of egoic expression, egocentric actions in behavior, and of this egocentric model of escape from these psychological pains, these psychological sufferings.

Then, we’re talking about a deep, radical change, not this superficial thing, this temporary change of behavior, of belief patterns, of new ideas to replace the old ones. We’re talking about the birth of something entirely new and unknown when we’re dealing with the Awakening of Consciousness, which is the Awakening of your Real Being, your True Consciousness. This is the true meaning of Kundalini Awakening.

Kundalini is another expression for Consciousness, but here it’s about this Energy, this Power present in that organism, in that body and mind. This Power creates a transformation, a change, in one’s own psychophysical structure. Because of this radical and profound transformation and change, This represents the end of suffering.

The subject of “Kundalini Awakening” … We have a playlist here on the channel investigating this with you. You can delve into this.

So, our work together is to become aware of That, of the Truth we are, which transcends this illusion of what we appear to be, or what we believe to be, in these experiences, in this relationship with ourselves, with the world and with the other, within these patterns of ego-identity, and therefore, within this ancient and old movement of psychological suffering. Ok?
