Ok! The question is “how to attain Spiritual Enlightenment?” or “how to attain Spiritual Awakening?” These are frequently asked questions. “How to attain This? What are the steps to Spiritual Awakening? What are the steps to Spiritual Enlightenment?” Why do people ask this kind of question? We want to deal with you today, here, about this matter of the true Spiritual Awakening, the real Spiritual Enlightenment. And why do I put it this way? Because there’s something happening to people that they call “Spiritual Awakening” or “Spiritual Enlightenment.”
Human beings have a life, in general, tedious, routine, mechanical, habitual, some with a lot of problems of a psychological nature, of an emotional nature; and because of this life of boredom, routine, habit, also suffering. Human beings are looking for something beyond this way of living, beyond this model of life and then they end up coming across this possibility of what some people call “Spiritual Enlightenment” or “Spiritual Awakening.” That’s because they came across a lecture, a speech, a video and found it interesting to put themselves in a search, which is the search for a greater experience for their lives, greater than what their lives have been, beyond this routine, this condition of routine and habit, or of suffering and confusion. So, their proposal is to go after what they believe this thing to be, and then they ask, “What are the steps for that?”
I want to work with you today, here in this meeting, on that. I want to tell you: Spiritual Awakening, Spiritual Enlightenment, God Realization, the Truth about what You Are, about who You Truly Are, This is indeed Real. But what the mind idealizes with that name, which is based on a so-called “spiritual,” “mystical” experience, has no reality. It’s something else the mind creates. So, I want to draw your attention to this here with me, let’s work on this right now.
After all, what is this Truth, the Truth of your Natural State of Being, of Pure Consciousness, What is truly present in beings who have realized God in this life? Those who realized the Truth of their Being were living this life, the life of their Divine Nature, their Essential Nature, they were living this God Realization, what many of us call Enlightenment, Spiritual Awakening or the Realization of God – it was the case of Ramana Maharshi.
Currently we have Mooji, also very well known, who was a direct disciple of Papaji. Papaji was a direct disciple of Ramana Maharshi. So, Papaji was with Ramana Maharshi and Mooji was directly with Papaji, and Mooji nowadays shares the Truth of that Natural State, what we call Enlightenment or Awakening. However, we need to understand what this really means. What is the meaning of this? What is the truth about this Spiritual Awakening (this is also called the Awakening of Consciousness)? It’s you in your Being, in your True Nature, the State Free of the sense of an identity present within that observation, that direct observation, the observing free of this “I”.
Thus, we are here also sharing the same Truth possible for you. It’s not an exclusive message of Buddha, Christ, Ramana Maharshi, or Papaji. This is the Truth of your Being, the Truth of this Spiritual Enlightenment, this Spiritual Awakening. Thus, the direct path to this was that one signaled by Ramana Maharshi in the question “Who am I?” in this self-inquiry.
Why is this self-inquiry the real basis of it? And here I refer to the basis for the true Spiritual Awakening, the real Spiritual Enlightenment. Let me talk a little bit more about that. It’s not a mystical experience, not an insight, a brief glimpse, of the absence of that “I,” that “me,” this we can have in our living, in our day to day.
Realizing the Truth about your Being is also not a mechanism you can use to run away. So, people are in this seeking or in this search for what they imagine to be Awakening or Enlightenment, since they believe this way they’ll be freed from their fears or be able to fulfill their desires from then on. Then, in fact, it’s the search for a mystical experience, for an experience that gives greater meaning to their lives. However, the Truth of Awakening, of Enlightenment, of the Realization of your Being – and this is the message of those who have realized God, have realized Truth – is that This is the end of the “I.” Of course, it is the presence of Love, Peace, Happiness, which is the Nature of God.
Now, what are those steps – if there are any steps in that direction? Here I want to tell you: it’s not something that takes place in time. If it were something passive to be accomplished in time, we could have a formula, a path, a method, a system, a step by step. “What are the steps to Awakening?” “What are the steps to Enlightenment?” There are no steps! Here we talk about an acknowledgement of the Reality of your Being. Your Being is this Reality outside of time. Here it’s about a direct path through self-observation. In this self-observation the beauty of the art of Meditation is revealed, and Meditation is the acknowledgement of your Essential Nature, of your Divine Nature. That’s Something here and now. It’s an acknowledgement, not an evolution, not a process of growth towards that Revelation. Therefore, it’s not you realizing God; it’s the Reality of God showing itself here and now as the Truth of your Being, the Truth of What you are, here and now.
This encounter with Meditation is an acknowledgment of the Truth of your Divine Nature, and this Meditation – notice what we are going to say – it is not what some people idealize or believe. People often apply themselves to certain disciplines, practices, methods, or systems for this purpose. They believe they will progress, evolve, grow within this method, this practice, this system, to realize This.
Another interesting thing is that people engage in this out of desire or fear. The desire is to achieve something in life beyond this routine – as we’ve just talked about – this boredom, monotony or the psychological condition of suffering, due to this psychological suffering – anxiety, fear, and depression. They end up dedicating themselves to a method, to a model of mystical, esoteric practice – this so-called “meditation practice” – out of desire, to accomplish something or to get rid of that old psychological condition, that egoic state of routine and fear – of routine, fear, suffering, and confusion. So, either out of desire or fear, within a system, a practice, people want to realize what they call “Spiritual Enlightenment.”
So, it’s important that you already come closer to what we show you here and discard that. It’s not for a discipline, nor is it for a practice, but rather for the acknowledgement of the Truth about what is happening here and now, with this “me,” with this “I.” Then, the Real, True approach to Spiritual Awakening, to Spiritual Enlightenment, is through the True, Real Meditation.
True Meditation is present when there’s Self-awareness, not when there’s a practice, a system, a method. Meditation is not what you do at certain times of the day, where you sit somewhere, put on some soft music, a quiet environment, breathe a certain way or chant a mantra. This so-called “practice,” “technique,” or “method of meditation,” you can dedicate your life for the next two or three hundred years, you will meditate five or ten thousand years in this way and there will be no Awakening, no Spiritual Enlightenment because there’s no Self-awareness. It’s Self-awareness that reveals this “I” to you, this entire movement of the ego. Without the revelation of this movement of the ego, which is psychological conditioning, a pattern of behavior, thinking, feeling and emotion, within this pattern of a separate identity. We need to have a revelation of all this “I” content and only Self-awareness brings us that.
Therefore, Self-awareness is the real foundation. Here, I refer to the true Self-awareness, not what some people call “practice of self-knowledge,” also to obtain or to get rid of something. So, in psychology and in some schools the expression “self-knowledge” is also used. Here, I refer to the true Self-awareness – here on the channel we have a playlist about that, about the true Self-awareness. So, with that true Self-awareness you have an approach to the True and Real Meditation, and that True Meditation is here and now, moment by moment.
We have to learn the art of Meditation, and to learn the art of Meditation is to unlearn the model of existing in this illusion of this “I,” this false “I.” This requires Self-awareness, looking at every movement of thought, feeling, emotion, sensation, and perception. We put it in a very direct way here on the channel. We work on this through several videos, showing you what it really is in practice. It’s something that requires this energy of attention on yourself, looking at every movement, thought, perception, every emotion, whatever is appearing here, looking at it without that “I,” a look without separateness. This requires the energy of Presence, of Consciousness. Then, we have in this Mindfulness the truth of this Self-awareness and the beauty of this approach to True Meditation in practice. This is here and now, moment by moment. The words I use when talking to someone, the thoughts that arise in front of this or that person, at this or that moment. It’s always here and now. Whatever is happening, a look within that pure observation, without an observer, you become aware of your reactions, your motivations, your concerns, your desires and fears; just looking, without being present within the experience, separating yourself. It requires Mindfulness. This is the art of True Meditation in practice.
When I face an experience, this “me” is the one that appears and separates oneself from the experience to judge, to condemn, to accept or reject what appears. Notice what we are putting for you here as the only Truth of this contact that doesn’t require a second step. This step is only one; this acknowledgement proves to be sufficient. Looking without the “I,” listening without the “I,” feeling without the “I,” the present thought without the “I.” What happens is that when experience arises without the “I,” that experience loses its importance for an experiencer, for an observer, for a thinker.
Notice what a very interesting thing we are showing you about the beauty of Meditation. When there’s Meditation, there’s only Meditation, there’s no meditator, there’s a complete emptying of all psychological content, and then thoughts disappear, because there’s no thinker. The sensation is only physical, but there’s no “someone” present in that body. The feeling loses importance, so it can appear, but it doesn't have an identity, so it doesn’t uphold itself. The same happens with emotion, it’s an appearance that also doesn’t uphold itself, because there’s no “someone” within this emotion, the sense of the “I,” the ego, that “me,” is not present.
Only by working this out in a direct way can we become aware of what I am talking about here with you, to you. Becoming aware of this whole movement of the “I” and looking at what is going on, here and now, is the end of this whole ego model of ego-centered living. Thus, we have the end of psychological conditioning, the end of the present sense of “I,” the ego. This is what those who have realized God share, those who have realized the Truth, those who are in this Realization, sharing this Realization. All of this is something interesting, having this approach in a way free from any prejudice, any idea, any particular vision, because then you have an approach free from that sense of an ego that thinks it understands these things – human beings are very arrogant. If it’s possible for this one or that one, it’s possible for you. Then, an approach free from prejudice shows you that this was possible, yes, it has always been possible in the history of mankind for those who approached it with a heart entirely turned towards that, in this real approach before a Realized Being, as it has happened to Mooji before Papaji, and to Papaji before Ramana Maharshi.
Here, I am also sharing with you something that is Real. I'm not talking to you about a concept, a theory. We are showing you that this complete disidentification with this “me” is possible, with this “I,” to assume here and now, this Natural State, which is Meditation, free from the sense of an “I,” of an ego. This Natural State, which is Meditation, is Pure Consciousness, absence of the ego, of the “me,” of this thinker, this observer, this experiencer. This is true Spiritual Awakening, real Spiritual Enlightenment. It’s not an experience, I repeat, for an experiencer. It is the end of the experiencer with all forms of possible experiences. In general, people have a mystical, esoteric, spiritual experience, due to a certain practice, these so-called “meditations” that they learn, or through the use of some substance they have an experience, they have visions, sensations, they have what they call “expanded mind” or “expanded consciousness,” and they believe this is the God Realization, the Spiritual Awakening or Enlightenment. It’s absolutely nothing like that! It’s just your Natural State of Being, free from the “me” and therefore, yes, free from every form of psychological suffering, fear, desire, and all the afflictions of that “I,” of that ego, of that “me.”
So, we are working with you on exactly that here on the channel, showing you the truth of this possibility or the possibility of this Natural Awakening, this Natural State. Then, this Presence, which is the Truth of your Being, the Truth of God, takes over that body-mind, because truly, a change has taken place in that structure, in that mechanism. This change some people have called “Kundalini Awakening.” Actually, true Kundalini Awakening occurs because of this change. When there’s a change in this body-mind structure, this Kundalini Awakening also comes together, which is the Awakening of this Consciousness in this mechanism.
So, the body needs to go through a change, and that change takes place with the Awakening of this Consciousness, which is when this Energy of the Divine Presence takes over that body and mind. This Kundalini Awakening is not an experience, a sensation, either, it’s something entirely new, different from what the mind idealizes, what the mind believes or conceptualizes. It’s the flourishing of your Being, the blossoming of God.
So, this is our subject here within the channel with you. If this is something that makes sense to you, if there is something inside burning for the Reality of God, for the Reality of Truth, for the end of the illusion of this so-called “human” existence dream, for a Beatific life of Love, Divine, Real, if that makes sense to you, leave your “like” and subscribe to the channel.
I want to invite you to online meetings with us, face-to-face meetings and also retreats, where we work together with those who approach. Here’s the invitation for you, ok? Thanks for the meeting, see you next one!
