It seems to me that the most important thing above everything else is to discover the Truth about who we are. But this Truth doesn’t partake of that model already known. What I mean is that this movement in us, so pragmatic, so repetitive, so continuous, is the movement of the “I.” This movement of the “I” is the movement of the known. The contact with the Divine Reality, the Reality of your Being, with the Reality of God is something singular, something unique, of unique beauty, because That is, here and now, the revelation of the Unknown.
It would be interesting for you to follow this speech and experience what we are saying. This is not like listening to a lecture, a conference, or a study. In general, we listen to lectures, conferences, and studies seeking to acquire information, knowledge, and then, based on this knowledge, we act. So, this goes far beyond the knowledge that is acquired.
Our movement in the ego, our movement in this sense of the “I,” in this sense of a present identity, which is the one we believe to be – those who have been here on the channel for some time already know what I am talking about – this sense of the “I,” of “me,” of the ego, this is an illusion, a fraud, an idea, a belief, a conditioning system programmed into us, and we are always acting based on that. So, this movement of the “I,” of the ego, is always the movement of the continuation of this psychological time. That’s why the future is very important for us. It’s in the future that we're going to do something, accomplish something, obtain something, get something; it’s in the future “we’ll be happy,” in the future “we’ll have peace,” in the future “we’ll have love,” in the future “we’ll have a better life,” in the future “we’ll go to heaven” or “we’ll achieve Spiritual Enlightenment.” Then, the future is something very, very important for the ego, for that “me,” for that “I.” And that has been our movement in the continuation of time – this psychological time. The present is “a door to the future.” We act in the present moment based on the knowledge we acquired in the past. This is how the “I” is perpetuated in time; this is how the “I” has its continuity.
So, this model of life in us is the model of life in the ego, in this “I,” the model of life in the known. Then, what is Spiritual Awakening or Spiritual Enlightenment? It’s the end of this continuity, it is discontinuation, the breaking of this model, this pattern. Something entirely new and unknown shows itself here and now, in life. Then, this “your life” is no longer the life of the “person” – this person you believe to be – it’s the life of this Intelligence, this Presence, this Consciousness.
Our work here is to show you that the Realization of the Truth of your Being is the discontinuation of that psychological time in this idea of becoming. So, the Revelation of your Being doesn’t require this idea of becoming someone, accomplishing something tomorrow, achieving something tomorrow or the day after; it’s the Realization that everything that becomes Real in your life, becomes Real here and now, and this is everything needed for a Life in Plenitude, Completeness, Love, Peace, Freedom, and Happiness. There is nothing more important than that, so nothing has the value that it has, the Awakening of your Being, of your Divine Nature, the end to this dream of a world where the “I” is connected and linked to its own world – this “I” always full of desires and fears.
This sense of “person” with which we identify, for which we mistake ourselves, which has this continuity in time – the present, the past, and the future – which was born, is living, and will die, all this despair of human life centered on this egoic identity, this despair, this struggle, this suffering, this confusion that has become our lives, this is all something that ends when Something new is present. And for Something new to be present, what is old has to die; then, this discontinuity with psychological time, with the sense of a present “I.” What is the “psychological time”? It’s this set of beliefs, opinions, ideas, judgments, certainties, and doubts, all this accumulated knowledge in what I’ve called egoic consciousness or mental consciousness.
This is the approach we must have to the Truth about who we are. Looking at all this and seeing the beauty of emptying all this content. This is the death of the past, the death of this illusory sense of “I,” the end of this unhappy condition for this “me,” for this “I,” which, in fact, represents the end of this “your” imaginary world, this dream of being “someone” – “Yesterday I was someone, today I am a different person, different from the one I was yesterday, and tomorrow I will be completely different from the person I am today and that I was yesterday.” Here the end to this is the end of this continuity of the “I,” of the ego, it’s when Something entirely new appears, that Something new is the Unknown, it’s God’s Life. The Unknown is the presence of the absence of psychological time, of that false center, that false “I,” it’s the presence of God, that Something new, What is Real.
Human beings’ life has been tedious, annoying, boring, anguished, and distressing, where there’s a lot of fear, where there’s the expectation of escaping from suffering and always adding to one’s life an experience, so-called “new,” of “pleasure,” which, in fact, this “pleasure” is not something new, it’s the continuity of memory. As we go through experiences of fulfillment, satisfaction, temporary psychological fulfillment, of pleasure, we seek it again, so there’s nothing new in this so-called “pleasure,” there’s nothing new in this “I,” in this sense of the ego, in the sense of “someone” present. Thus, Spiritual Enlightenment, the Awakening of Consciousness, is the emergence of Something new, really new. This is Something here and now, that’s why [it’s important] to highlight what we are listening to here, in all these speeches. Don't theorize about it, don't acquire more knowledge, and don't add to the old knowledge that you have new knowledge that now you seem to be acquiring here, in this channel. Don’t do it! Realize This, make This real in living, experience these words, and try, for example, observing the movement of thoughts without placing yourself as “someone” present in this movement. Notice the beauty of this.
A thought arises and, in general, you always place yourself as the thinker of the thought, so it happens very quickly, very automatically, very habitually. A thought arises and the feeling you have is that you are in it, in that thought. The feeling is that you are the thinker of the thought, this is very automatic, this is one of the things we work on here on the channel – we have several playlists exploring this subject, and there’s one here about the True Meditation in practice. Do not mistake yourself for the experience of thought; do not place yourself as the thinker when a thought arises, as the one who is in the feeling when the feeling arises. We are habitually giving continuity to the ego, the “I,” the “me,” all the time when we do this. A feeling arises and we identify with that feeling, so the sense of “someone” in the feeling is present, it’s the “I.” A thought arises and we identify with that thought, the sense of “someone” thinking that thought is present, so this is the continuity of the “I.”
We are always mistaking ourselves for thoughts, feelings, emotions, or physical sensations. We are always placing a present identity in this experience because we lack the art of True Meditation in practice, we lack the true understanding of Self-awareness, and this constitutes the door to the Awakening of Wisdom, to the Awakening of the Truth of your Being. Thus, when listening to this talk, you must experience this. In general, people listen to lectures and talks, go to seminars, they love to read books, it gives them comfort, it gives them a certain emotional feeling, a certain fulfillment, a certain satisfaction, and a certain emotion. So, people are addicted, intellectually, to that sensation, to that fulfillment, to that pleasure of listening to speeches and reading books, but it doesn't have any real effect on them, because it remains at the intellectual level, the sentimental level, the emotional level. And at the level of intellect, emotion, and feeling, we are only talking about the level of the body.
What I’m saying is that what reaches you at the level of feeling, emotion, and thought only reaches you at the level of the body. It’s just a feeling, an emotion, or a thought. It’s something that gives you pleasure, satisfaction, and a certain fulfillment, however, it doesn’t work at the level of internal work for the Awakening of your Real Being, of this Divine Intelligence, this God Consciousness. So, if you listen to these words, here, you must experience this in practice, you must effectively work with this in practice.
I have invited people to online meetings – online Satsangs – face-to-face meetings and also retreats, where we can find out how to put this into practice. However, here and now, you can and need to do this in practice. Looking at this movement of thought, emotion, sensation, and feeling, without getting confused, without placing an identity present in this experience. If there is an observation of this movement, without agreeing or disagreeing with this movement, the identity doesn’t enter, the sense of a present “I” doesn’t enter, then you don’t mistake yourself for thought, feeling, sensation, or emotion. So, the sense of an “I” doesn’t appear.
As you go deeper into it in a practical way, the sense of an identity ceases to prevail in your life, so this background of psychological conditioning, which is based on memory and this great movement of thought, loses its value and loses its importance. And if that loses its importance since the sense of “I” has lost its importance, you enter Something new, you step out of this continuity of this psychological time, this model of psychological continuity is ruptured, it’s broken. It’s when there’s the death of this illusion, of the illusion of the “me,” of the “I,” of this egoic sense. That’s the death of psychological time, that’s the end of it, that’s the end of that egoic consciousness, of that mental consciousness, that false identity. What is new, which is here and now, without the past, without any idea of the present and any imagination or dream of the future, reveals itself as being the singularity of the Presence, of Consciousness, the Truth of this present moment, then there’s Intelligence, Wisdom, and Real Freedom. This is the encounter with What you Are, your Being revealing itself as Happiness, Peace, and pure Consciousness. This is the perfume, the fragrance, the presence of Grace, of the Real Love of God. It’s when Happiness is present, this overflow of your Divine Nature, the Real reason for Being what you Are, here and now.
In online and face-to-face meetings, also retreats, we work on this with those who approach us. If this is something that makes sense to you, leave your “like” and subscribe to the channel.
And here’s the invitation, see you next meeting!
