Here, our emphasis, within these meetings – you know, you who have been following the channel, have been following these talks –, is that you, when you come closer, have a somewhat different approach than most people usually have when they approach someone to listen to others, to hear about a certain subject.
Here, our emphasis is that you look at everything that is being presented here and investigate it, become aware of it, putting your mind and heart into reaching what is being presented. In general, this is not how we do it, because we always enter with a part of ourselves, and not with this Totality: either we go with intellect or we go with emotion.
We have a very particular way of approaching when we intellectualize what we hear or use this emotional sensitivity to be touched by what we hear. Here, a true approach to this subject – not only in this theme that we will work with you here today, at this moment, in this video, in this speech, but in all the speeches here on the channel, all the meetings we have here – it is important that we have an approach where the mind, the heart and our entire being are involved in it, so that we can truly have an approach to this subject.
I want to touch on the importance and beauty of this awareness of a free Life, lived intelligently, where we no longer have the presence of conflict, disorder, confusion and suffering. This requires a new brain, a new mind, a new heart; it requires a vision of Life in Wisdom.
There is a question that some people ask themselves, or some do, but it is so difficult to find an answer, and here I want to investigate, as part of this talk, this question as well. The question is: “How to attain Wisdom?” Because, yes, in the wise Life we do not find complications. Even when a problem arises, we can attend to that problem immediately, to the point that it does not take deep roots within ourselves, creating internal states of suffering. This requires the presence of Wisdom. And there is a way to approach this; this way is in the awareness of learning.
When you were a child, you were taken to school. Then, for the first time, you came across teaching, this classic form of learning. In this common way of learning things, we are put before that task, that teaching, whether it is practical or theoretical. That is the way of learning that we know. So, in a practical way or in a theoretical way, we are exposed to that and we end up learning, and this learning takes time.
Interestingly, it is a quality of learning that we know, we are familiar with, that it seems, no matter how much we know, we still don't know enough. And there is a reason behind this. All the knowledge that we acquire in life, all this so-called knowledge... Some people separate this quality of knowledge that is learned in life to deal with trivial matters in life, from human wisdom. In fact, this idea of human wisdom, you see, is a division that we create between human wisdom and Divine Wisdom.
Here, I want to discuss with you the Truth of Flourishing, of the Awakening of Awareness of Truth. In my view, this is the sense in which we use the expression Wisdom here. It seems to me that this is the most realistic way of dealing with this expression. Here, we are dealing with this awareness of Life. It is natural that this encompasses the Totality of Life, and not a particular condition of life, where there is a certain piece of knowledge that, no matter how much we learn, we will have to continue learning, which is what people call human wisdom.
What is the Truth of the Flourishing of Wisdom? This Wisdom that encompasses this Totality of Life; a free, harmonious, integral, complete and happy Life. This is where we need to approach another way of learning, because only this other way of learning can show us this Truth.
This usual way of learning is by accumulating information, acquiring knowledge and living experiences. This gives us the training and the ability to deal with technical matters in life, but it does not give us the conditions to deal with life, because life does not consist only of technical matters.
You know how to drive a car, you know how to fly a plane, you know how to solve a mathematical problem. You know architecture, engineering. If you are an engineer, you know how to build a bridge or design a building, all this structure for the construction of a large building. But this knowledge is the knowledge that is learned within time. Thus, it is knowledge linked to experience, to this form of learning in which you have to study the theoretical basis. This is how we learn physics, mathematics, chemistry.
So, we are able to deal with these matters, due to this vision, this so-called human intelligence, this ability, capacity to act and learn by acting, to grow in this movement of action, at this level of learning. All of this is very reasonable. But note that this quality of knowledge, of experience, is something that always carries this limitation, there is always something to learn. So, it is a quality of knowledge that has a shadow that accompanies this type of knowledge: experience, which is ignorance. You never know enough, or there is always something to learn.
Here, when we touch on the Truth of Wisdom with you, which is this awareness of Life, we are not talking about fragmented knowledge, like the type of knowledge we discussed a moment ago. We are pointing out, signaling to you a quality of vision of life that goes beyond this vision of knowledge.
Note that you may be an expert, a technician, an engineer, a mathematician, a physicist, a chemist, you may be a scientist, but you do not know how to deal with your own thoughts, your own feelings, your emotions. If news reaches you, it completely changes the internal state you are in at that moment. If it is good news, you become euphoric, enthusiastic, happy, but if it is bad news, you become discontented, sad, depressed.
So, some things make us happy and other things make us sad, some things cheer us up and others discourage us. Situations make us enthusiastic, and others make us depressed. Note how interesting this human psychological structure is in each one of us.
It doesn't matter how much education we have. That man in the countryside who works the land, who was unable to study, is just as vulnerable to psychological states of anxiety, worry, depression, fear, and anguish as the cultured, literate, learned man who has studied a lot, who is a PhD, a scientist.
Our psychological condition is not understood, has not been understood. We do not understand ourselves, we do not study ourselves, so we acquire a particular, specialized vision of life, but we have no awareness of our reactions, of how we function internally, psychologically. We lack the vision of Wisdom. So, the question is: “How to attain Wisdom?” And now it seems to me that it is clear to you: Wisdom is not something that can be attained.
“How to attain wisdom?” You can attain knowledge, you can attain know-how, capacity, skill, specialization, intellectual training, graduation, post-graduation. You can attain all of this, because it is something that is in time, requires knowledge, experience, practice, skill, while the Truth of Wisdom, or the Truth about Wisdom, is that Wisdom is only possible through Self-awareness.
As long as there is no awareness of the Truth about who you are, which implies the understanding of how you function and this mastery of dealing with these reactions, and the basis for this is Self-awareness, until this is not clear, there will be no Wisdom, the Truth of Wisdom. The Truth about Wisdom is that it is the result of understanding ourselves. The foundation on which the awareness of Life, of the Totality of Life, is based, is Self-Knowledge.
Dealing with your husband, dealing with your wife, dealing with your children, dealing with life, dealing with people, dealing with yourself, free from this psychological weight of thought, feeling and reactions, which are always coming from the past to respond to this moment in such a way that the sense of “I,” of the ego, is always involved in it. As long as this is not freed from each one of us, as long as this sense of “I,” of the ego, exists, what is present is ignorance, illusion. This shows us that we do not know the Truth about who we are. This clearly demonstrates the sense of an identity that separates itself from life, that separates itself from the other, that separates itself from God.
Divine Reality is the Truth of this Being, of this Real Being, which is present when the ego is not, when illusion is no longer present. So, this meeting that we are in here together is for the investigation of the nature of the Truth about ourselves. Therefore, it is not about this division that we have intellectually made between human wisdom and Divine Wisdom, or human intelligence and Divine Intelligence.
Real Intelligence is Spiritual Intelligence. In this sense, we have used the expressions Divine Wisdom and Divine Intelligence here. But it is important that we understand that the only Real Intelligence is the Intelligence of God, the only Real Wisdom is the Wisdom of God, and this Divine Wisdom or this Divine Intelligence is the nature of your Being. In this sense, we have the Truth of Wisdom and we have the matter of knowledge.
Knowledge is something that is learned, while Wisdom is something that flourishes, is something that awakens, due to the understanding of the movement of this consciousness, which is the consciousness of the “I,” through Self-awareness. So, what is the Truth about Self-awareness? The Truth about Self-awareness is that, when there is this vision of the Reality of your Being, illusion of this ego-identity is undone, and that is the end of ignorance.
And when ignorance ends, this knowledge of dealing with the issues of life takes its rightful place. The rightful place of this knowledge is for dealing with issues in this dream of existence, and it cannot deal with the Totality of Life. The vision that can deal with the Totality of Life is Wisdom, and the vision of Wisdom is the understanding of Non-separation, of Non-duality, of the Truth that there is Something present and that Something is the awareness of God, and you were born to realize That, you were born for Wisdom. This Wisdom is the vision of Non-separation.
Divine Reality is the Reality of your Being, and that Reality is Advaita. The term Advaita means Non-duality, this is straight from the Vedas. A real vision of Life is the vision of the end of the illusion of separation and therefore it is the end of ignorance. To come closer to yourself is to come closer to this understanding. It is when the Reality of God, Divine Reality, the Wisdom of God reveals itself. This is what we call here on the channel “Awakening of Divine Intelligence” or “Spiritual Intelligence.”
Real Intelligence, True Intelligence is this Intelligence of Being. All of this is within this Spiritual Awakening or Spiritual Enlightenment. Here, on Saturdays and Sundays, we are together with you, delving deeper into this subject. These are two-day online meetings, where we are working on this together. You can find our WhatsApp link here in the video description to participate in these meetings.
In addition, we have in-person meetings and also retreats. If what you just heard makes sense to you, here is an invitation. Leave your “like” here, subscribe to the channel and leave here in the comments: “Yes, that makes sense.” Ok? And we'll see you. Thanks for the meeting and see you soon!
