Find inner peace. Psychological escape mechanism. The end of suffering, of psychological disorder.

People ask how to get inner peace or how to find inner peace; this is a question people ask. They want to find out what peace is and where it is, but people actually do not really know what they are asking. It is not true that they want to find inner peace; it seems they are trying to escape something. What we envision as inner peace is a strategy to escape some form of suffering. So, as a matter of fact, there is not this seek or search for inner peace, but there is an escape.

Today, I'd like to talk a little bit with you about the issue of Real Peace and this movement in us, this mechanism that is the “I,” this pattern of psychological escape. There is a movement in us that is actually a psychological escape mechanism that moves to escape this pain, this suffering, this conflict. So, it’s not really a quest or search for Truth, but rather for this so-called “inner peace,” which is actually a projection of that mechanism, which is the “I,” for this psychological escape. Then, in fact, the “I” is a mechanism that, when faced with difficulties, with confusion, great grief, or great suffering, engages in this so-called “searching,” which is actually a mechanism looking for psychological escape now.

So, we are looking, in fact, for what can psychologically provide us with relief from this pain, i.e., the purpose is to find something that makes you internally a little relaxed, a little peaceful. That tranquility or relaxation is what the ego knows as peace. We are here with you working on this: understanding the Truth about who we are, we are working on Realizing the Truth about ourselves. An approach to what we are reveals these mechanics, this way of behaving, of conducting ourselves in the world.

The word “peace” is pretty interesting in the mouths of politicians, religious people, and peacemakers, but we find it interesting only to hear about peace. So, many people talk about peace, but it is the peace we know. The whole idea we have about it is the peace of politicians, of so-called “religious” people who talk about peace, those who promulgate it, of those who publicize what we believe, what we idealize, and what we know as peace. Then, in fact, what is peace? Will this be what we are looking for? Will this thing be what can temporarily give us internal, psychological relief from some affliction, some pain? Could it be that in this encounter with something that temporarily provides us with some inner stillness, will that really be peace? Thus, we would like to work with you here on this issue today.

How to realize the Truth about who we are? How to recognize in ourselves that mechanism that is the “I,” which is looking for means that can provide a stillness, a silence, a rest, a repose that we call “peace"? Now, for that to become possible, we must look at the Truth about who we are. We need to examine the nature of consciousness, of what in us we call consciousness. This consciousness is the movement of the “I” present here and now, within living, within our relationships. This sense of a present “I,” which is this mental consciousness, this egoic consciousness, produces in us this sense of separation between “the world and I,” “the other and I,” “life and I.” This mechanism called “I” is always present in this separateness, this division. This division, this separation, naturally sustains every form of contradiction, violence, fear, suffering, and conflict. So, in fact, this “I,” which is the reason for this confusion, this conflict, this fear, and this suffering, is the same one ideologically projected to find what politicians call “peace,” which religious people call “peace,” which “peace” promoters talk about. But this is not Peace; this is not the Real Peace that Truth reveals.

We have to inquire into the nature of this “I,” this consciousness. What is this consciousness? What do we call consciousness? In general, we call consciousness “being aware” of the world. So, when I use the expression “I am conscious,” I am actually saying that I am aware of something like my thoughts, feelings, emotions, and sensations; I am aware of others, objects, and experiences. Notice that this so-called “consciousness” is this “I” conscious. This form of consciousness we recognize present in us is, in fact, this self-consciousness. In this self-consciousness we have a separation: “the thing I am aware of and I,” “the feeling and I,” “thought and I,” “this object and I,” “this person and I,” “stress and I,” “anguish and I,” “fear and I,” “joy and I,” “this so-called peace and I.” Then, the consciousness of the “I” in us, is based on this principle of separateness, of division. In this division where there is this “I” and this other thing, we have this duality, this separateness.

So, what is the principle of consciousness, which is this “I"? What is the foundation of consciousness? What is this consciousness? This consciousness consists of the thinking and the thinker, the feeling and the one who feels, and the seeing object and the one who sees; that is what we call consciousness. Then, I am aware of something outside myself, outside this “I” that “I am.” Now, that “I am,” see, is “someone” in a relationship with something else; that is what we call “I,” the sense of “someone” present. Thus, for us, this so-called “consciousness” consists of the sense of “someone” aware of [something]; that is what we call consciousness. In fact, I repeat, this is just self-consciousness.

When you are aware of yourself, of the other, of what is around you, that is self-consciousness. But what is this self-consciousness? Recognition; you are aware of what you actually recognize, which we call consciousness. You cannot be conscious of what you do not recognize; you need to be present in this experience of recognizing thought, emotion, sensation, and perception.

Now the question is, what is the Truth about who we are? What is the Truth of our Being? What is the Reality about ourselves? Are we that consciousness? Does this Truth of what we are consist of being aware of that self-consciousness or is there something beyond that? Is there anything beyond this consciousness I have called the consciousness of the “I”? Because it is this consciousness that we are aware of, this consciousness of the “I,” and in that consciousness of the “I” there is the other and that other thing.

Here, since we are working with you on the matter of Realization of Being – of Divine Truth, of the Truth of our Real Nature, which is the Nature of God, present here and now – we need to become aware of this Real Consciousness, which is not this consciousness of the “I.” It is in that Real Consciousness that Real Peace resides, True Peace, that Reality that is beyond that so-called “peace” that can be recognized, that can be understood within that consciousness, that is the consciousness of the “I,” that peace” that constitutes only a refuge, a rest, a temporary relief from this affliction of being “someone.” Then, we are working with you here on the end of these psychological escapes.

Human beings live psychologically and internally in contradiction, conflict, and suffering. Our answers to life are not complete; they are born from a reaction, from a background of experiences, knowledge, remembrances, and memories. Our relationship with the other, the world, with life, is totally wrong because it is a relationship grounded in this “I,” which is the ego, in this personal consciousness, in this self-consciousness. So, everything we know about who we are and the whole relationship we have with life – and here life is what happens – everything we feel, think, inside ourselves and, also, externally, the idea of being “someone” present inside this body, in this self-consciousness, living this life that we call “my life,” this is what we call “consciousness.”

This consciousness is the consciousness of the “I”; it is the egoic consciousness in us. We carry this sense of identity present by separating ourselves from this instant, this moment, and we separate because we function based on thought, which is the result of past remembrances, memories, and recollections. Notice how simple this is: when you meet someone, you can only recognize them based on thought; that thought is a memory, a retrospection, and that recognition is what we call “being conscious” in the consciousness of the “I.”

So, this contact you have with the other in this consciousness of the “I,” is a contact between memories – the memory you have of him and the memory he has of you. Therefore, what we have in this relationship is the illusion of an identity present here and the illusion that there is an identity present there, then there is this separation. As this “I” is loaded with self-interest and in a constant search for some form of satisfaction, fulfillment, personal, particular, and egoic fulfillment, all this contact with the other is within this ego, this centering on the “I.” Then, this egocentrism, this meeting and relation movement is something doomed to this condition of pain, conflict, contradiction, and suffering. There is no Peace in our relationships, in our “I” life, in our egoic consciousness.

We need to discover the Truth of what we are and have a direct answer to this question: Is there a possibility of really having a contact with True inner Peace? The expression “inner peace” also needs to be investigated, because if there is Real Peace, it is only Peace, neither internal nor external. True Peace is the Reality of Being, the Reality of God, and the Reality of the Truth about who we are. However, this is something present when the sense of “I” is not present, when the sense of that ego-identity is not there anymore; then there needs to be an end to this ego-identity, to that sense of a present “I.” So, we need to end this consciousness of the “I,” of what we call “consciousness,” this limitation of consciousness we know, this limitation of consciousness of the “I,” which is the consciousness of the ego. The presence of it is the cause of contradiction and the real absence of Peace.

The beauty of this encounter with what we are, the Revelation of the Truth about our Being, is the end of suffering, the end of this psychological disorder, the end of this confusion that consists of this illusory presence of identity here and now, which is the “I,” the ego. So, that ends this whole pattern of running away from this pain, this suffering. We are working together on the awareness of the Truth about who we are; we are working together on the Truth of Happiness, the Consciousness that is the Truth about who we are, because that is the Nature of Being; Being is Real Consciousness. That Real Consciousness is Being, and This is Happiness. This is where that True Peace resides, the Peace that the Sages and the Saints refer to as the Peace that surpasses all understanding, Something that is beyond all the understanding the consciousness of the “I”; in other words, Something that is beyond human comprehension.

So, here we are with you working on this, the awareness of the Truth about who we are, the Truth of Being. Our psychological fixations, connections, desires, and attachments are constantly sustaining the presence in us of one form of fear or another, and none of these can disappear as long as this sense of I exists, as long as the illusion of identity present in this self-consciousness remains. Thus, this encounter with the Truth about who we are is an approach that becomes possible when there is an investigation, an inquiry, a self-observation of this movement, of this consciousness of the “I.”

What is this consciousness of the “I"? It is the false presence of a thinker present thinking its thoughts, “someone” present having his feelings, emotions, perceptions, sensations, the central idea of identity here and now, within the experience. When something is observed, there is the illusion of “someone” observing. When a thought arises, the illusion is “someone” thinking; when a feeling arises, the illusion is “someone” feeling. So, this self-consciousness, the illusion of this identity present in this experience, makes this duality, this separation always present in us and, therefore, always the idea of control by “someone” to do something with what appears, with this experience.

We have an illusion, the illusion that we are thinking and that we can dispense with thoughts, the illusion that we are feeling and we can change it, change that feeling. We have the illusory sensation that we are under an emotion and that we can change this emotion, we can change this feeling, we can change this thought, that we are “someone” responsible for this. There is this belief of “someone” in this feeling, in this thinking, just like in this movement of action; there is this illusion of this agent, this “I,” this thinker. That is egoic consciousness, mental consciousness. So, what always prevails in our lives is this identity.

Here we are working with you to end this illusion of self-identity, this illusory individuality, because the senses show us this body separate from the other, cause us the sensation of emotion present in that body and not in the other, because our visual perception tells us that it is from this place, in this brain, that the other thing is being seen and that it is external to this “me,” because of all this we have the illusory sensation of a present identity, which is the “I.” But here we are trapped within an illusion, the illusion that tells us that this self-consciousness is our Real Consciousness. That is what we investigate here, within the channel, in online and in face-to-face meetings.

We are becoming aware of the Truth of Being that we are, of the Divine Reality. In this Reality, a single Truth is present, and in It, there is no separation between you and the other, you and life, you and God. And if This is present, that True Peace within, and now external, that Real Peace that exceeds all human comprehension is the Peace of God, the Real Peace, the Divine Truth. That is the Awakening of Consciousness, Spiritual Enlightenment, the awareness of God, the Truth of your Being, and the Divine Reality. We will not know what This is as long as this illusion is present. With the end of this illusion, this Reality presents itself. That’s why we need to go beyond a merely intellectual, verbal, sentimental, and emotional approach to this word called “peace.” Then, True Peace becomes possible, and when there is Peace, there is Happiness, Love, and Freedom.

That is the subject we work with you here, within this channel. The Revelation of God is the Revelation of Truth. Ok?
