Here on the channel, we are working with you to put an end to the illusion of this “I,” this idea that we have about who we are. Therefore, here we are working with you on Self-Awareness, the Truth of Self-Awareness, and the flourishing of the Awakening of Consciousness. So, we have here as a proposal to show you that this condition of the mind that we have, this condition of particular view of the world that we bring is something totally wrong, because it is based on a consciousness that is the consciousness of the “I” itself.
What is this consciousness of the “I"? A set of memories, remembrances, past knowledge, and experiences acquired by humanity throughout human history. This is something that we bring today, this is today part of this formation of this consciousness of the “I” in us. This “I” – what we call self-consciousness – is formed within this condition. We are the result of millennial conditioning from culture, society, and the world. This is the sense of an “I” that we have present here and now. For example, it may sound strange to you, quite unusual to say that you are not who you believe you are. Every idea, every formation you have about yourself is simply memory, recollection, and remembrance.
When you refer to this body – realize this clearly – this body is the result of your parents, so everything in this body, for example, is their memory. Everything you have in this body is their physiological memory, it is their inheritance, and psychologically everything we have in this so-called “mind” of ours is a conditioning of history, of culture, of civilization, of the particular story of our world where we were born and raised. That’s what we call “I,” that is the consciousness of “I.”
Our actions are actions that are born from this consciousness of the “I,” so we talk a lot about the capacity to do, to act, to feel, to think, we believe that we carry that. In fact, all of this is the result of conditioning, all of this is part of a memory engraved in our body and mind. The brain is part of this mind, and all this movement of action in us is the result of this memory, also in this machine, in this body, in this mechanism, this we call “I.” However, here I want to tell you something that may sound a little strange to you: right now, there is listening, just as there is speaking, there is seeing, but there is no one there seeing, there is no one there listening, just as there is no one here talking. This is the movement of life, this is the movement of existence, this is something that happens in a natural way, in an existential way; however, there is no such element, an element that separates itself from this experience to use this pronoun “I” – “I” think, “I” feel, “I” speak, “I” listen, “I” do; that is a belief, the belief that you exist as a separate entity, the belief that you exist as an “I” here and now.
So, the sense of a present person is the illusory sense of an identity in time, space, inside the body, speaking, thinking, acting, and feeling. This actually consists of mental conditioning. We have a conditioned mind to think like this, to feel like this. We don't know the truth about who we are, there is no Self-Awareness. So, there is no legitimate, real, true appreciation of life as it is, because this conditioning makes us have a completely wrong perception of what life is, what it is the other, and of who we are. This particular way of seeing Life, of seeing others, of seeing oneself puts us in a condition of internal contradiction and within a mistaken movement of reactive action based on this conditioning.
Realize what we are putting here in the channel and working with you: life consists of something new, now, happening here, a totality where nothing is separate. There is something going on here in a unique, singular way, without any separation, without any movement of separation, and yet one element appears in this scenario, which is this “I,” this “I” consciousness, the conditioned mind, this sense of a separate existence arises. In fact, we are facing an illusion, the illusion of a present identity separating itself from living, from life. So, there’s this action motivated by this illusion, by the illusion of this sense of separation. This action clashes with life because it is an action that is born from an illusory background, which is the “I.” As there is this separation between life and this “I,” there is naturally conflict.
It is very interesting this search of the human being for something beyond all this confusion, all this suffering, all this fear, all this dissatisfaction that he carries, because despite the fact that as people we accomplish things in life or carry this feeling that we are accomplishing things in life, we feel, deep down, within ourselves, internally, unhappy, so nothing satisfies us. So, there is a constant search for satisfaction, achievement, and fulfillment, but it is this search of an “I,” of an illusory identity that is separate from life, that is separate from existence, that is separate from the Source, from the only present Reality, which is the Divine Reality, which is the Reality of God.
So, what do we have here and now? An illusion, an entity that is the “I,” the sense of being “someone” present in action, in speaking, in hearing, in feeling, in thinking. A dissatisfied “I.” No matter how great your accomplishments are, you feel internally searching or looking for something beyond what you've already accomplished. Why is there this sense of dissatisfaction? Why is there this pain of separation? In fact, pain is the pain of loneliness, it is the existential void. We are not even aware of the pain of separation between “I” and God, between “I” and life, between “I” and the other. So here we are working with you on the end of the illusion of “I” and the beginning of something Real, something True, the awareness of present Reality.
Look, for example, our actions, they are actions born out of an intention, a motivation, a project, a desire, a volition; something is born within us from that thought. This intention moves us to action, to want, to seek, to look for something. This action is always born from an inner impulse, from a background of conditioning, from consciousness, which is this consciousness of the “I.” So, it is born from that sense of separation. And this action always proves to be conflicting, contradictory, unsatisfactory when the results happen, when they are present.
So, we are actually driven by a background of psychological conditioning. These actions are born within our culture, the result of propaganda, of what they tell us that will make us happy, that will make us fulfilled, that we will be complete after we accomplish this, that, or that other thing. They are always actions driven by desire, and in this search for desire, in fact, as this is born out of dissatisfaction, it is born out of an escape, out of an existential pain. So, in fact, this quality of action is born from the fear of looking at what is happening here, at this moment, with each one of us. So, we don't understand this dissatisfaction, we don't understand this pain, we don't understand this suffering, we don't understand this fear, and it drives us. So, our desire is really fear; our search is, in reality, an escape, and all of that is found in that “I,” in that “me.”
What are we doing together here on this channel? We're investigating the nature of the “I,” the nature of that elusive identity that we believe we are when we speak, when we think, when we act, when we feel, and here I want to look at that with you, and here we're looking at that, we're approaching this at every meeting, every video, every online meeting – we have online meetings on the weekends, here in the video description there is our WhatsApp link for you to participate.
What have we been doing in these meetings? What are we doing together? Exploring that, investigating what this life is, who we are. We are here discovering the possibility of a life free from suffering, free from the illusion of the “I,” of the ego, of this “me,” of this person who believes that is listening, feeling, thinking, speaking, acting, and that one day will be happy doing something.
People spend a lifetime, from birth to death, from cradle to grave, looking for something like peace, happiness, love, and freedom. In fact, they are not looking for it, they are running away from the dissatisfaction that their lives have become because of this condition of ignorance about themselves, of egoic identity, of ignorance about this “I.” So, we are giving this kind of name to what we project as love, peace, freedom, and happiness. In fact, it is the search for something that thought has designed, has idealized to replace this dissatisfaction, this suffering, this ignorance.
So, here we are working with you on the end of the illusion of the “I” and therefore the true understanding of what Love, Freedom, Happiness, and Peace is. The fact is that all this is found in the Realization of your Being, which is the Realization of God. God is the present Truth here and now. God is the only Reality present here and now. There is no illusion of this present “I.” The fact that we are constantly identifying ourselves with this illusion, the illusion of this separate identity that is the “I,” this trust that we have in this set of beliefs, remembrances, memories, of internal conditioning, which is the conditioning of the mind – our minds are conditioned – all this is psychological conditioning in us, something present. This is where the consciousness of the “I” is located, an illusory consciousness that sees itself as a separate entity. And as long as it persists, we are unaware of the Truth about who we are, the Truth of what surpasses and is beyond this body, this mind, and that sense of a present “I.”
So, our work here is to become aware of that, an approach to the Truth of our own Being, of our Real Consciousness – no longer this consciousness of the “I” –, to the Truth of the free mind, of the new mind, of the mind in your natural meditative state. Then, there is the Nature of Being, the Nature of Truth, the Reality of That which we truly are. This occurs when there is this deconditioning of the mind, when there is an end to this illusion of this sense of separation, an end to this duality. We are faced, then, with Non-duality, with the Truth of your Being, with the Truth of God. Our work here is an investigation into the nature of illusion, what is the structure, what is the nature, what is the truth of illusion.
You see, we do not come into direct contact with the Truth of our Being, we investigate the nature of what is not that Truth. The human being sometimes projects the Divine Reality, the Reality of God, but this is still a projection of the own “I” consciousness. So, the mind, within what it knows, its formulations, can idealize an encounter with God, a revelation of God, and even go through some mystical, so-called “spiritual” experience, but all this is still within that consciousness of the “I,” it is not yet the Reality of your Being revealing itself. It is necessary to discard the illusion of this “I.”
So, we are here investigating the nature of this illusory “I,” the structure and nature of this confusion which is the egoic mind, which is the conditioned mind. It is interesting when people use the expression “expansion of consciousness.” Realize what we are going to put for you here: what we call “consciousness,” what is recognized as consciousness, in this self-consciousness is still this consciousness of the “I.” Then, it may, yes, go through some psychological, so-called “spiritual” or “mystical” experiences and after that, still within the own mind, you believe that something extraordinary has happened. And, in reality, we are still within that condition of the conditioning of the “I,” this conditioned mind or this consciousness of the “I” has gone through an experience.
The Reality of your Being, which is Real Consciousness, within the vision of those who have realized the Truth, this is very, very clear: this Real Consciousness does not expand, It is the Nature of God present here and now, it is the Nature of Being. Anything that can undergo an alteration, change or expansion will still and always be within a limitation. That which undergoes expansion can go on expanding and that is limitation. This is something, still, within time. It is only in time that you can go through experiences, remember experiences, report experiences, and undergo changes due to experience, this is something that always happens within time. The Reality of your Being, the Reality of God, Real Consciousness is not in time. So, the Truth about the Awakening of Consciousness is the end of the consciousness of “I”. It is not an expansion of consciousness, it is not a change in the quality of that mental consciousness, that mind.
Here we are telling you about That which the Sages call Samadhi or the State of Turiya. We have videos here on the channel about this State of Turiya, where the difference between the waking state, the dream state, and the deep sleep state is clearly presented; the fourth state possible for each one of us is Turiya, it is a state beyond waking, dreaming, and deep sleep. That State of Turiya is Samadhi. It is not an experience, it is not an expansion of consciousness, it is Real Consciousness, it is the end of the illusion of an egoic identity.
Thus, our work here consists of getting closer to ourselves through Self-Awareness, through True Meditation. Here True Meditation is correct meditation. It’s not the meditation practice that can bring you experiences, sensations, and perceptions, that can give you altered states of consciousness. That’s not what we're talking about. We are talking about going beyond this “I,” that means the transcendence of time, the end of this time, the end of this “I,” the end of this mind, the deconditioning of this mind. This is the end of time, this is the end of space, this is the end of the illusory identity in this thinking, feeling, acting, speaking, and listening.
Here we are presenting a possible state, which is Samadhi, which is the State of Turiya. We are not going to delve into that here, we have a video here on the channel about this fourth state, the State of Turiya. I recommend that you get to know, delve into another playlist here, which is the playlist of this approach of Self-Awareness, it is the Truth of Self-Awareness and True Meditation in a practical way. This True Meditation is not what we know out there as meditation. Here I am referring to the Real, the true, the correct Meditation for this Awakening of Consciousness. And here another subject is the State of Turiya. These are subjects that complement this speech.
That is our focus here at this meeting. We are working with you on the Awakening of Consciousness and Spiritual Enlightenment. In reality, we are talking about the same thing in different words. True Meditation and the Awakening of Consciousness also in a different sense than what, in general, people have put out there – here on the channel we also have playlists on this subject.
So, this is the subject here within this channel. If this is something that makes sense to you, please, leave your “like” and subscribe to the channel. Some of you watch these videos and forget to subscribe to the channel. So please, subscribe to the channel now. I also want to remind you: we have here in the video description our Whatsapp group for these weekend online meetings. In addition, we have face-to-face meetings and retreats, so you can get to know that. OK? Thanks for the meeting and we'll see you. See you soon!
