The subject here is: what is the mind? How does it work? Here, we are facing something that is not so complicated – at least the theoretical basis of it. Maybe, the difficulty here lies in becoming aware of it in an evidential, experiential, and practical way. The awareness of the truth of the mind cannot be theoretical, so it is not enough to hear about it here and achieve an intellectual approach to the subject. We need an approach where you look at this movement and become aware of it; it’s about perceiving it. Here, I want to tell you that we cannot have a theoretical basis and, based on that theory, have the truth about it. A theory is just an idea, and a set of ideas forms a concept, a narrative; you can have an idea about it and at the same time a set of ideas, theoretical knowledge about it, and continue to be trapped, victimized by that condition, which is the condition of that egoic mind.
What is this egoic mind? It is a model of unconsciousness. We have lived in this model for millennia; this is the condition of the human being. The egoic mind is a set of memories, remembrances, and recollections. Everything you really have of the truth about who you are, you can put into words, and in those words, all you can express are images of the past, memories, recollections. In other words, we are not dealing with the Reality of what we are but expressing a memory we carry from an idea about who we are. The understanding of your Being, of the Truth, requires that you go beyond this “I,” this mind, which is the mind of the “I,” the human mind, which, in fact, consists of a set of images, ideas, recollections, and memories. So, what is the human mind? A collection of images, remembrances, and memories.
Your response to life now, here, at this moment, if it is a response that comes from that background of remembrances, memories, is it a response from that human mind, which represents a response from that “I,” that ego, that person you believe you are. And that way of functioning in life is basically conditioning, suffering. So, there is this illusion of an “I” present, acting, saying, thinking, feeling, and doing. That is how the human mind works. That is the condition of the illusory identity of this false center, which is the ego.
Here, the work consists in becoming aware of the Truth of our Being, and it requires that we approach this movement of the mind recognizing the illusion present within it, becoming aware, what I have called here recognizing; it is becoming aware of this duality present. This duality is the sense of “someone” within the experience, “someone” thinking, speaking, acting, and feeling. That is how the egoic mind, the human mind, works. To become aware of this, to become aware of this movement, is to go beyond this limitation.
The condition of the “I,” of the ego, of the experiencer, is the one who is present – what is an illusion – present speaking, acting, functioning. This illusory condition where this “I” separates itself from the action of speaking, from thought and therefore from thinking, from the feeling and therefore from feeling, from emotion. This whole psychological condition of being “someone” within experience is the very movement of this “I” of this ego; it is a movement of conditioning. So, all the confusion in our lives is something present because of this self-centeredness, this illusory identity, which is the mind of the “I,” the egoic mind. To become aware of this movement is to go beyond this condition. This awareness brings about the Awakening of True Consciousness because all this consciousness as we know it – the consciousness of the mind – is the consciousness of the “I,” part of this false psychological condition of being “someone.” When the Awakening of Real Consciousness occurs, there is the end of that condition of this egoic mind, this illusory mind of the ego, of the person, this human mind. That is the consequence of cultural, religious, social, political, and philosophical conditioning. Our beliefs, conclusions, certainties, doubts, uncertainties, all of this are born from this condition of the “I,” which is where suffering lies.
The work here consists in having an approach to ourselves. When we look at this movement of the “I,” of the mind, we perceive this condition of duality, of a false identity present within this experience. The awareness about it, the Revelation of the Truth about this is the Awakening, then the sense of an “I” disappears, the illusion of that experiencer, that thinker, that observer, that chooser, solver, decider, disappears; and when it does it, Something new arises, the Unknown, the Unamenable arises, it is the Presence of Divine Intelligence, of the Awareness of the Truth of your Being. Some people call this the Awakening of Consciousness; then the Awakening of Consciousness is the end of this egoic mind, which is the mind of the “I.” Others call it Spiritual Enlightenment, Something entirely new, Unknown because there is no longer a sense of separateness. That sense of an “I” present, thinking, feeling, acting, doing, disappears. Notice the beauty of that.
The confusion, the disorder, and the unhappiness in our lives lie in the life of the “I.” Only in that particular life of the ‘'I'’ is all these present. That private life of the “I” disappears when the Real Divine Life blossoms; it is the Awakening of Consciousness, the Realization of God. No technique, method, or system can lead you to this, give you this Revelation, or make you realize this Reality, the awareness of yourself, here and now. The observation of the movement itself, of every thought, feeling, emotion, and perception, to perceive that this sense of an “I” appears to judge thought, condemn it, reject it, or identify with it; to realize that this sense of an “I” appears to judge an emotion, to like or dislike that emotion and thus to identify with it in a positive way when you like it, or to identify with it when you reject it. So, there is this constant struggle in us, this conflict, created by this sense of an “I “ separating itself. We have online meetings where we are working on this, investigating this, and going deeper into these issues. These meetings take place on weekends. There is our WhatsApp group here in the description of the video, you can join the group and get to know it closely.
Here, we work with you the end of the “I,” the ego, the Awakening of God, the Awakening of your Divine Nature. So, when we come closer and look at all this inner movement, we put light on it and realize, for the first time, this duality, this separation. It is because we always separate ourselves that we are in conflict. When there is this separation, there is conflict, naturally. When a thought is present, a feeling or an emotion, and is seen simply as an appearance, and we do not put that element which is the “I” into it, the duality ends. The problem here is that this has been our practice for too long. Since we left the cradle, we are continually putting the illusion of this “I” within the experience; that’s how this egoic mind works. We are always giving credence to that experience because there is “someone” to do something against or for that experience. When we like something, we identify ourselves; when we reject that, we do the same. We create an identity when we accept or reject a thought, for example, a feeling or emotion, and this naturally upholds this separate identity model, the ego. See this: here is the principle of illusion, of human suffering.
Here on the channel, we show you that it is possible to have a life free from all forms of suffering indeed. Our psychological, emotional, and much of physical suffering is in the illusion of present identity, which is the “I,” always mistaking itself for the experience. If, for example, there is an illness in the body, there may be pain or weakness, but if you give an identity to that illness in the body, there will be suffering, then it is not just a sickness in the body. In physical pain, the element that is the “I,” the ego identified with the body, and suffering is present. We always live in this condition of identification with the body and the mind, so these internal states of unhappiness, such as anxiety, depression, anguish, and the pain of loneliness, all this is part of the “I,” the ego, this sense of “someone” present within this experience. When we look closely at the experience, what is present is a set of images, recollections, memories, or even a physical weakness, a pain in the body. Physically or psychologically, we put an identity that is fighting with the experience of the memory, the recollection, the image, and this strengthens the illusion of an ego, an “I,” a separate identity, an egoic mind, so suffering is present, and the presence of unhappiness. All this is present due to these inner psychological states of suffering we cultivate. We do this in a completely unconscious, mechanical way, a habit, in fact, an addiction. This pattern of repetitive, negative, obsessive thinking, of inner chatter, this addiction to thinking, requires the illusion of a present identity always cultivating this pattern, this model, this conditioning. So, it is an egoic, mental conditioning, the conditioning of the mind.
Our work here is the end of the “I,” the ego, of this illusion, which is the one of a present identity here and now in this experience – whether unpleasant or pleasant experience. In the ego, this egoic mind, this human mind, we always seek pleasure and try to get rid of pain. What is pleasurable we want, and what is painful we reject. What have not been told is that we always give identity to this “I” when we do it because we foster this false idea of separation, of duality. The Truth about your Being is Non-dual. Your Being, your Real Nature does not carry conflict or suffering, and they are something present in this duality, in this idea of “the other thing and I.” To look at this movement of the “I,” of the ego, of this “me” without putting the other thing is the end of this “I,” this ego, this “me.” So, our emphasis here is on approaching Self-awareness, the Truth of Self-awareness. That puts you in direct contact with the Truth of the correct Meditation, of Real Meditation, in an experiential way here and now. That is our work here with you. We are showing you that it is indeed possible to have the end of this illusion, of this suffering, to have the Realization of your Being, which is the Realization of God, the Awakening of Consciousness – what some people call Spiritual Enlightenment.
The beauty of it is to go beyond these boundaries, which are the boundaries of space and time. In the ego, we live on that basis within those boundaries, in that notion of space and time, what is a creation of thought. So, in this thing of always being in this experience, experiencing, we are always within the limitation of this sense of being “someone” who has the illusion of one day achieving something to be complete, realized, and happy. There is always the idea of a realization in the material or the so-called “spiritual” realm in time. Then, we have to leave here and go somewhere, go to the future to realize love, peace, and happiness. We are always in this illusion of achieving, in this world or the other world, this freedom, this happiness, this Truth; thus, we are always within this notion of space and time.
The beauty of these encounters is that we are working with you to end the illusion of “I,” and this is the end of the illusion of time, of space. I have been calling this space-time the timeline. This timeline occurs within this movement, which is the very movement of the “I” in this illusion that thought has produced, which I have called psychological time; so “I am not this, but one day I will be,” “I do not have this, but one day I will” this is all within the illusion of the ego, all this to be happy, to complete yourself, to feel full. The Truth of your Being is this Happiness here and now, is this Completeness here and now. So, we are beyond this boundary of space and time when we realize the Truth of what we are.
So, the work is to become aware of the innate Happiness of your Being. It represents a new mind, a new Consciousness. I have called this new Consciousness as Real Consciousness. This new mind is the free mind, no longer this egoic mind, no longer this human mind; a quality of life free from the illusion of this so-called “life of the ego,” this “life of the I.” In general, we call “my life” for this limited condition of life on this timeline, where there is this space, and there is this time for this “me,” for this “I” to achieve things somewhere or at some future time. All that disappears when your Being shows itself as Full Consciousness. In the Awakening of the Truth of your Being, in the Blossoming of your Divine Nature, of your Essential Nature, What is present is Happiness, Completeness, and Real Realization, which is the Realization of God.
That is our subject here with you within the channel. We also have online meetings where we are working on this with you. In the video description is our WhatsApp group; you can join our group and get closer to these online meetings. There is something different in these meetings that we naturally do not have in a video like this, so here is the invitation. In addition, we have face-to-face meetings and also retreats. If this is something that makes sense to you, take the opportunity and leave it here in the comment: “It makes sense.” Leave your “like” and subscribe to the channel, ok? See you.
Thanks for the meeting, and see you next time!
