Meditation Advaita. Death in philosophy. How to deal with fear, jealousy and insecurity?

It seems to me that, for some of us, some things have already become clear when we start asking questions like: “How to get rid of jealousy and insecurity?” “How to get rid of the fear of death?” or “How to get rid of anxiety?” or “How to deal with fear?” Note, these questions are for those who have already realized that there must be a way to approach life free from these conditions and other conditions similar to them, which represent some level of suffering for each of us.

Notice, this is our commitment, our work here with you, in this space, on this channel and also on our other channel called Marcos Gualberto – there is a link here in the video description. Our work together here is about getting closer to life. This approach to life is for the end of this old condition in our life, where, psychologically, we are within a circuit or within a boundary, trapped by the limits of this psychological condition, where what is present, guiding our lives, is the old model of collective thinking, which is the ordinary thinking within humanity. We have called psychological conditioning this pattern of life where what we call “life” is always being guided by the pattern of ordinary thought.

Here on this channel, we have this invitation to you: to investigate the nature of the ego. What is this ego? It's this sense of someone present here in life, living its experiences. So, this element, this person, this individual consciousness, functions as a center around which life, situations, circumstances, people, the world are revolving. This center is the ego. The truth of this center is that it is a false center; between it, which is this center, that is, between this “I” and that given thing, and that given experience, and that other person, or that circumstance, or that event; what we have in that space is the presence of conflict, of disorder, confusion, and suffering.

When we ask: how to deal with fear? It's because we've already perceived that, although this is something common to everyone and present in our lives – notice, as human beings for millennia, we carry fear – so, despite this being present, there is a feeling within each of us that, despite being something common to everyone, this cannot be part of what is Real. What is natural is Real, fear is not something like that, it is something ordinary, but we do not feel that it is something natural. It is a disorder; it is the presence of suffering. And we need to discover what it is to deal with fear, as well as when we touch on this issue of jealousy, insecurity, how to deal with jealousy and insecurity, how to deal with this approach that is the approach to death?

So, there is something here, in our lives, that we need to investigate: it is that which is not natural and appears as something ordinary, present. Notice, it is something present due to the presence of the “I,” the ego, this center. Here, in this work, we are taking an approach from a vision of studying ourselves, of how to release this particular condition from our lives, which is something common and, therefore, within this model of collective consciousness, this pattern of the “I,” of the ego, which we particularize to live this.

We are here investigating with you the possibility of breaking with this pattern of collective consciousness, this illusion of the individual consciousness. Yes, we have an illusion of individuality in this sense, in this perception based on a belief, a set of ideas within each of us, that we are human creatures with individual consciousnesses, living our lives in a very particular way. When we look closely at this, we perceive that this particular model of life in this individuality is nothing other than the repetition of the entire pattern of human behavior. Thus, we are before that which represents the entire world and which we only particularize due to a belief. In other words, everything you feel is present in the world, so what is true for the world is true for you, as long as this sense of “I,” of ego, of this center, is present.

Here, we are getting closer to the Reality of Meditation because it is Meditation that breaks with this pattern of identity of the “I,” of egoic identity. And here I refer to Self-Awareness Meditation, it is not meditation to sleep better, it is not Vipassana meditation, it is not Yoga meditation, it is not Zen meditation. I don't know what people understand by Vipassana, by Yoga, or Zen... the Truth of Zen points, exactly, to this Reality that we are dealing with here; Vipassana points to this Reality that we are also signaling here on this channel, just like Yoga, but we are giving names to meditation techniques and practices. Notice, the Truth of Meditation, Vipassana meditation, Yoga meditation or Zen meditation, is that there is no separation between the Truth of the verification of the purpose and the practice.

So, there is no distance between practice and the attainment of the purpose. The Truth of Zen is the Awakening of Consciousness, the Truth of Vipassana is the awareness of something beyond the known, just like the Truth of Yoga. Here, we are dealing with you about the Truth of Meditation – not how you understand a meditation technique out there called Vipassana or Zen or Yoga. What is the Truth of the approach to Meditation? The approach to Meditation is Self-Awareness. When there is Real Meditation, there comes Meditation that breaks with this space. I've just said that it is a space between this center and the experience. This space is the space of conflict, the space of separation, the space that, like a curtain, creates a duality.

Contact with the Reality of Zen, contact with the Reality of Meditation, is Self-Awareness, and Self-Awareness is the end of this condition, the end of this space. So, we are before the Reality of what we are, when there is awareness of the Oneness. The word “Yoga” means Oneness, union; as in the expression “Zazen” we have “sitting down,” just sitting down, it is not doing something… it is just sitting, there is nothing to obtain, achieve, accomplish, or do. This is the meaning of Zen, it points to something outside the mind, outside the known... It's like that in Yoga... But it isn't a technique, notice what we're telling you. People get involved with techniques and practices without understanding the true nature of Meditation. This Real contact with Meditation is the contact with the end of what is known.

So, there is something present when the known is gone, when the known disappears. It is in this sense that we have here, within this Truth of Real Meditation, the end of the “I,” the end of the ego, the end of illusion, of duality. This is the real meaning when we approach the end for the known, which represents the real encounter with the death of the past: dying to all that the “I,” the ego represents. Notice, this is a way of approaching death – not exactly in philosophy, we are not dealing with something philosophical here, we are dealing with something experiential, real, practical, so it is not death in philosophy, within a philosophical, theoretical, conceptual, perspective – here we are talking about the death of the known, the death of the past, the death of the continuity of this model of thought, of psychological structure, which comes from this pattern of conditioning that is within this collective consciousness, this model of the world.

Then, we have something new that arises when the end of illusion occurs, the end of this sense of separation, the end of this sense of duality. Notice, how to deal with fear? Be aware that there is no separation between the experience of fear and who sees oneself in fear. This separation between fear and this one who sees oneself in fear is the separation between the experience and the experiencer. It is the separation between the one who is observing and feeling the fear, because one sees the fear as something separate from him. Here we are eliminating this separation, this duality. The presence of fear is the presence of the fearful, the presence of experience is the presence of the experiencer, the presence of that which is being seen is the presence of the one who sees. When there is this elimination, there is an approach to this moment, where the Reality of Meditation is present. The Reality of Meditation present is the awareness of this non-dual being, which is the nature of our Real Consciousness, of this true Being within us, which is Love, which is Happiness.

The nature of God in you is the Nature of Truth... If this is present there is no longer the fear of death, there is no longer this issue of the illusion of this love that is made up of attachment, desire, control, which takes on the form of jealousy and insecurity within relationships. So, note, this is the subject we are addressing here. I don't know if, for a first meeting, maybe it wasn't so clear. We have several videos here on the channel, delving into these topics with you. The basis of the Truth of Meditation is the end of the one who meditates, the one in the practice. That's why I've just said: it's not meditation according to Zen, according to Vipassana, according to Yoga; it is the Truth of Meditation free from someone involved in the practice.

So, the awareness of Meditation is Meditation present without that element, which is the “I,” the ego, involved with any movement of action. We are here delving deeper into this subject with you, discovering what this contact with the Reality of this Being is. When there is full attention, this element that is the “I,” the ego, does not enter. Then, we have Meditation-Advaita, non-duality, Meditation that is Self-Awareness, we have Real Meditation, Vipassana, Zen, or Yoga. Then, the Reality of What we are as Pure Consciousness reveals itself.

This is what we are working on here with you: the end of the “I,” the end of the ego. Some people call this “the Awakening of Consciousness” or “the Realization of the Truth of God,” or “Spiritual Enlightenment.” This is our subject here with you, both on this channel and also on our other channel called Marcos Gualberto. Here is, in the video description, our WhatsApp link for our online meetings that take place on weekends. It's two days together where we are exploring and investigating this with you, making it very clear, working on this Realization of the Truth of That which we are. OK? If this is something that makes sense to you, I want to invite you, but first, one more reminder: we also have in-person meetings and retreats. So, go ahead, leave your “like” here, subscribe to the channel, OK? And if it actually makes sense to you or if you've perceived that there is something here for us to work on together, write it here in the comment: “Yes, it makes sense.” OK? And see you. Thanks for the meeting and see you next time.
