One of the matters of life, as a matter of life, is the matter of death. Over the next few minutes, we will work with you on the matter of life and death. Is there a line of demarcation, a border between what is known as our “life” and our “death”?
All we have as life looks closely, and you will see – all we have as life is the continuity of memory. What we call life is the continuity of our name, our history, our furniture, our properties, the people we relate to, the story we know about them, and the story we know about who we are.
So, what we have called life consists of gaining, losing, obtaining, accumulating, seeking more, of the search for satisfaction, peace, happiness, all this we call life... That is the continuity of memory. Thus, what we call life, what we consider life, is simply the continuity of this “person,” this entity we believe ourselves to be. This way, everything we have within this memory, this continuity, is the continuity of the “I,” the ego. That's what we call life.
When we come across the end of that in this so-called “death,” we create a separation. We realize that in this well-known death, we have the end to the memory, to this continuity, which causes us fear. So, for us, death is actually the unknown. We do not know what death really is. We create beliefs because of the fear of losing this continuity, the known. Religious beliefs give us comfort; they show us the possibility of continuity, of the continuity of exactly this memory in this so-called “afterlife.”
So, what do we have here? We have a bridge, or we try to create a bridge between this known thing, which is history, memory, the continuity of the “I,” the ego, and that other unknown thing called death. Thus, we project the continuity of this “I” into this “afterlife.” That's what we have in religions as the matter of the “afterlife.” Then, we have resurrection, reincarnation, heaven, and hell. We are left to choose or to see what suits us best in terms of accepting what to believe. We do all this because, in fact, we have “fear,” the fear of the end to this continuity.
So, actually, we do not know what life is without the continuity of the ego, and we do not know what this so-called “death” is without this continuity of the ego. Thus, we project an ideal of the future onto this thing called “afterlife” – “afterlife” is future – for what is here and now, at this moment, within this continuity. Then, in the “after-death,” we have the continuity of this so-called “life.” Will it be a reality? Or is this reality still within the known?
That's what we have been telling you here on the channel. We have been investigating this subject with you. We are interested in understanding what the end of the known represents, therefore, the end of the ego, of this so-called “continuity,” which is the continuity of the life of the “I,” the ego. So, what happens to human beings is that they are not interested in investigating the nature of the Truth of life, what the Reality of a life free from the known means. They stay within this model of the known in this so-called “life” and project this known into the so-called “death.” Then, we have this so-called “life” in the present and this projection of this life into its continuity in the future, into this so-called “death.”
The question here is: can we discover the Truth of life free from this continuity of the “I,” the ego, with its fears, desires, attachments, material possessions, relationships with people, by the way, relationships in conflict, with problems – the problem of loving, hating, liking, disliking? Can we discover the Truth of the end of this continuity of memory? I refer to this psychological memory, this thing in us that sustains this entity, which is “me,” the ego, which maintains this continuity of the “I,” the ego. This ego lives in fear, and its fear is of losing what it knows. So, all this is very interesting.
The matter of the fear of death, which has created these projections of continuity, this continuity in this so-called “after-death” is the projection of the ego. That is the ego's quest within this continuity to find itself in the future with everything it already knows, its loved ones, and a better life. This “better life,” notice, is within the continuity of what you already know. Everything you can describe in the “afterlife” is within the known, so it is a continuity of the ego, a continuity of a life still stuck in the condition of the past, of time.
Will there be a Real Life outside the continuity of the “I,” outside the continuity of this psychological time, of this search for psychological security in projects for the future of the “after-death” in ideals and beliefs? The work of the Awakening of Consciousness, the Revelation of your Being, is contact with life and death. But death is life, and life is death; there is no transition, no change because we are not dealing here and now with something that is within time.
The Reality of this Being that we are – were not born, are not living in time, and will not die. The science of the Awakening of Truth, the Awakening of Consciousness, of True Spiritual Enlightenment is the end of the continuity of the “I,” the ego; therefore, it is the end of the continuity of this so-called “life” and this so-called “death.”
Here, the question is: can we get in touch with the beauty of death here and now? Death as the end of the continuity of everything we know. Die at this instant to our desires, fears, attachments, experiences with objects, people, our fixations on relationships of pleasure and pain, on relationships with objects, places, and people, too. The end of the illusion of the “person,” the “I,” the ego, here, is the end of the “person,” of this “I,” this ego, in there. So, we are before Something unknown. This Unknown is the Truth of death. Then, the Reality of the Unknown, of death, can be understood here and now when there is no longer this continuity for the known, which is the “I,” the ego.
That is our subject here with you. We investigate the Nature of the Truth of this Being outside this known life and this projected, idealized death or “after-death.” The Divine Truth, the Truth that we are, the Truth of a life free from the ego, is the Truth of the death of psychological time, of this time that sustains this continuity. Get that here. All this continuity of the ego is in the movement of psychological time, an idealization of thought, something installed in memory.
Notice that everything you know is within your memory. It is all part of this consciousness, the consciousness of the “I.” There is no consciousness without memory. You cannot be aware of what is unknown. The reference of consciousness is the relation of the knowledge of the known. You are aware of what you know. You can imagine the unknown; this imagination of the unknown is the known still being projected, so it's not the unknown, but an idea still, a thought, a projection of thought itself. Notice how fascinating the clear understanding of this is here.
Our hope is something within the known; it's part of what thought constructs. If we're dealing here with Divine Reality, the Reality of God, Real Life, we cannot be signaling It or marking It with the marks of the known. Real Life does not have the signet or seal of the known. The invitation to the Realization of your Being is to True Life. True Life is present when the “I” is not there, the known disappears, and there is death to it all.
So, the foremost thing in life is to discover the beauty of dying psychologically. The great beauty in life consists of dying at every moment to the past, to psychological time, to the movement of the mind, to that movement which is the action of continuity. Our egocentric actions are processed in this movement of the continuity of the “I.” Only when the ego in its movement within the known is no longer present does this Real Divine Life, this True Real Life reveal itself, then there is no separation here, at this instant, between this contact with the Reality of the end of the “I,” of the ego, of this continuity and Life itself. Are you with me?
This encounter with the Reality of God is the encounter with the Reality beyond the known. Then, the expressions “life” and “death” disappear. The notion of “being alive” or “being dead” is no longer present for what is Real here and which is beyond everything that is known, and everything that thought also projects into the unknown, which is still part of its movement, which is still part of the movement of the known. Is that clear?
There is a Divine Reality present when your Being, which is the Truth of God, reveals itself, and that is the end to all the known. So, that's the end of death, just as it's the end of this known life, psychologically based on thought, on memory. Notice the beauty of what we put here for you. The Truth of Samadhi is the Truth of this Divine Reality. The Sages in India have an expression for this Reality outside of the known, outside of what thought projects as life and death; it is You in Your Divine State, in Your Natural State, which is the State of Turiya.
The State of Turiya is the Natural State of Being Pure Consciousness, beyond vigil, dreaming and deep sleep, beyond birth and death. Your Natural State of Being is the true State of Pure Consciousness, of Pure Presence. So, this is the end to the known, the end to all this movement of the ego, of the “I.” It's not the inability to deal with the dream. In this dream, everything is still present: relationship, family, house, furniture, real estate, but there is no longer this illusion of identity present, which is the “I,” the ego having this continuity.
That's our subject here with you. We have online meetings on weekends to go deeper into this. You can find our WhatsApp link in the video description to work on this and to become aware of this Truth of your Being. We also have face-to-face meetings and retreats. If this is something that makes sense to you, take the opportunity now and leave your like, subscribe to the channel, and write in the comment: “Yes, it makes sense,” or “No, I didn't understand anything,” or “It doesn't make sense,” ok?
See you. Thanks for the meeting, and see you next time!
