The issues of life. However, it is necessary for you to understand that these questions of life are issues that still remain as questions because we do not have a vision, a direct understanding of the Truth about who we are. The purpose of these meetings here is to investigate this. Therefore, this is not a meeting where a simple, theoretical, conceptual, intellectual answer to these questions will be presented to you. We are together to investigate, to explore this, to study this. We can't study this with someone, we can't study this in books.
There is only one way to get closer to the Truth of Wisdom, the Truth of this Clarity of Perception of Reality, of the Integral Vision of Life: it is through Self-Awareness. Only when there is an approach to the Truth about who You are does this become possible, and this is a discovery that you make. Understanding oneself, which has as its principle Self-awareness, which is based on Self-awareness, is the real basis for Wisdom, for the final solution of these issues in life.
We have countless questions. One of these questions is the issue of action, of free action. Here on the channel, we have a playlist exactly on this topic, the ego-free action – Self-Awareness, the Truth of Self-awareness and the ego-free action. That's the only action that is true action in life, and we're going to investigate that here in the next few minutes. And here on this channel, you will find an extensive playlist exploring this subject.
We need to discover an action that truly represents a free, intelligent action for our lives, an action where there is this Presence, this Awareness, this Divine Reality. Only when we have the awareness of the Reality of God in action, we have the Truth of Intelligence, we have Real Intelligence, then a life free from contradictions, dilemmas, conflicts, and problems becomes possible.
Notice that our attempt to get things right is quite common. We're trying to get it right, so we have questions – and I've been putting it here for you; questions like: “How do I do the right thing?” Or: “How to act under pressure?” Our attempt is to respond to life, to respond to this present moment with an action that does not produce suffering, an action that actually produces results. But we need to clearly investigate this issue of action.
What is free action? What is intelligent action? What is true action? What I have been saying here is that our actions are not real actions, they are falsified actions, falsified by thought. So, when we have actions that are driven by thought, we have conflicting actions. Our actions are basically egocentric because they are actions that are based on thought. Is there another quality of action, which is not based on thought?
Our actions always have behind them a motivation, an intention, a desire, a fear, an apprehension. There is always the sense of an “I” present in a self-centered, self-interested movement, which moves based on fear, based on desire, based on choices. All of this is something determined by thought. So, we first have thought, we have this aim, which is centered on the “I” itself, and then we have action. This is the quality of action that we know, thought-centered action, based on thought.
So, we have to investigate the nature of the one who acts, the one who moves, the one who is doing things, which is the “I,” the ego. The “person,” as we see ourselves, is the one who is moving in the world through thought. Life is constantly bringing us new situations, new challenges. Everything in life constitutes a movement; this movement is action. There is no way, in this life, to be free from action.
At all times we are within a movement; this movement is action. At that moment, listening to this speech is a movement of action. When listening to this speech, the verbal and intellectual understanding of these words is an action procedure of the brain itself. Speaking is an action; gesturing is an action. From morning until night, from the time you get out of bed until it's time to sleep, you are always in movement, and that movement is action. So, at all times we are responding to the requests of life, in life. Life is this challenge. The question is how we are responding to this.
What I have said here, and you can investigate this, not mere listening to these words agreeing or having an inclination to listen and disagree – find out here how to follow a speech like this and investigate it in yourself, and see –, what we are saying is that our actions are egocentric, and because they are egocentric, because they are centered on an egoic identity that sees itself as separate from others, from life, from situations, our relationship with all of this is a relationship of separation, of duality. And where there is separation, where there is duality, in this notion “me and the world,” “me and the other,” “me and this or that situation,” in this separation there is, naturally, conflict, suffering, desire, fear, and self-interest.
Our life in the ego is a life in this principle of separation, within this duality. In this duality, in this separation, there is conflict. Thus, our actions are actions centered on the “I,” on the ego. Here, we need to investigate the nature of this ego, this “I.” What is the “I”? Who am I? So, what is the truth of this “I”?
Observe that this “I,” this sense of “I” is a set of remembrances, memories, and images. If I ask you: Who are you? You will say your name and tell your story. We are identified with the story we bring and with the name we know about who we are, because we identify with this story, with this body, with this mind. So, this is the description of this “I.”
What is the truth of this “I”? This “I,” therefore, is a set of remembrances, images, recollections, memories, history – the history of the family, the history of society, the history of the world. This is all part of this “I.” The education we received, the religion where we were raised, the political system where we were educated. Society educated us, culture gave us this training, and all of this is now part of this internal movement of memories, remembrances, and recollections, something stored in this brain. So, we live as an entity present in the world with a conditioned brain, in a life already physically and psychologically programmed.
Thus, our action in the world, our performance in action, in relationships with others, with ourselves, with objects, with situations are actions programmed by thought; this movement is the movement of the “I,” of the ego. Is this the Truth about who we really are? This is what we really present ourselves to be, what we demonstrate to be, what we appear to be, what society, culture, the world, the family, and human history make us to be. Is there anything beyond that?
Until we discover the Real Truth of this Being that we bring, our actions will be centered on the “I,” on the ego, on this “person.” The ego is this ignorance, the person is this ignorance. This “I” lives in this ignorance, based on psychological conditioning, moving in the world and acting. We are creating problems, living with suffering, living in problems, producing problems. Look at the situation in the world, the chaos in which we find ourselves, because, in reality, the world, this external world is just an external expression of our internal confusion.
We live, psychologically, in this “I,” in this ego trapped in envy, jealousy, and conflicts; There is this contradiction between the desires within each of us, and this is also reflected in this relationship with the other. The psychological state of the human being is one of confusion, disorder, suffering, stress, anxiety, depression, anguish, the pain of loneliness, this egocentrism being expressed in egocentric activities at every moment.
So, our way of attending to this challenge, which is Life happening right now, based on this thought, this model that comes from the past, this conditioning that is the result of all this culture, something that comes from the past, an action this type is creating confusion for us and the other, in the world. In this meeting, we are discovering the art of Being Consciousness, this is the work here within the channel. We are working with you on the Awakening of this Real Being that we are, which is the Awakening of Real Consciousness.
We know this common consciousness. We've been talking about this a lot here within the channel, the difference between this consciousness as we see ourselves, as we know ourselves, centered within this conditioned mind, and there is a Reality beyond that: it is this Real Consciousness. And we are working with you here on the Awakening of this Real Consciousness, of this Real Being that we are. Some call this Spiritual Awakening, Spiritual Enlightenment; it is the awareness of your Being revealing itself. True action is the action of Intelligence, which is born from this vision of Reality. There is no separation in this action. Understand this. Our action, when born out of thought, is loaded with an egoic intention. There is a quality of action free from this conditioned thought, from this conditioned mind, and that is our subject here in this playlist: to show you that, yes, an action free from this psychological conditioning is possible.
We have to investigate the nature of this “I,” this experiencer, this cultivator of this conditioned thinking model, then we can go beyond thinking, then thinking ceases, this psychological, conditioned condition of being disappears. Something new appears for a life in Love, in Happiness, within this awareness of God, this awareness of Truth.
We here are deepening this with you, exploring this with you, showing you the possibility of, in this life, assuming the Reality that you were born to assume, which is the Reality of this Being, which is the Reality of God, which is the Reality of your Essential Nature, your Divine Nature.
So, for this purpose we have online meetings here on weekends. You can find our Whatsapp link here in the video description to participate in these meetings, to investigate, and study this. In addition, we have face-to-face meetings and also retreats. If what you're listening to here, you just heard, makes sense to you, go ahead and leave your “like” and subscribe to the channel, ok? And we'll see each other. Thanks for the meeting and see you soon!
