The human being carries within some issues that have not yet been resolved, and they are not resolved because a basic issue has not yet been understood. One of these questions is the issue of suffering, another question is the issue of fear, another is the issue of jealousy. So, we have countless unresolved questions because we don't understand a single question. So, people have this kind of question, they ask, “How to get rid of suffering?” – this is a question. Another question is, “How to get rid of jealousy?” Thus, we have several other questions and they are always questions – these and the countless other questions we have – and we want an answer to them before understanding a fundamental question that, in fact, nobody asks.
No one asks themselves this question, no one asks or formulates this question: “Who am ‘I’? What is the Truth about ‘me’?” The understanding of that question, the Truth revealed in that answer, is the end of suffering, the end of jealousy, the end of fear. Because that’s another question: “How to get rid of fear?” The answer to that question, the Truth of that answer, is the end of human confusion, because it is the end of the illusion of this “I”. To the question “who am I?”, the answer is the understanding of the non-existence of this “I.” It is in this “I” that suffering, jealousy, fear and everything else resides.
So, we are here on this channel – and we also have this in online meetings on weekends –, our purpose here in this meeting is to work on ending suffering, ending fear, ending jealousy, ending envy, the end of confusion, but this is something that happens in a very natural, simple, real way when we understand the Truth about who we are.
So, what is the truth about “me”? What is the Truth about this “I”? What is the Truth about this “person” who has a story and has a name? Thus, we approach it within this Truth of Self-Awareness. As we approach, we will realize that we function in a wrong way. We have a psychological model and also a model of feeling in this psychophysical being, in this body and mind, a wrong model of expression. We don't understand what’s going on here, inside each of us.
A basis of our human existence, in this human brain, in this human mind, is the model of this thought and feeling, but we don't understand how this thought and how this feeling work, so we don't know what thinking is, we don't know what feeling is, and yet we are feeling and thinking. Who is this “I” that is thinking and feeling? Who is this present identity? Who am “I"? What is the truth about “me”? We are not aware of that. We have a way of thinking, a way of feeling, a way of acting, a way of proceeding, but who is this person who acts, proceeds, feels and thinks? We don't know.
Here on this channel, we are working with you to end the illusion of the “I”. The end of the illusion of the “I” is the realization that there is no “I” present in this experience of living, in this experience of life. There is, yes, a format of expressing thinking, feeling, moving and acting in the world, and this format is a wrong format, because if we don't understand the “I” illusory nature, we are confusing ourselves, we are identifying ourselves, we are giving identity to something that has no identity. We do this because thinking confuses us, feeling confuses us, the emotions and actions that are born from that confusion produce more confusion and therefore more suffering. What is the Truth about who I am?
I want to invite you here to look at yourself, I want to invite you to approach the art of Being Consciousness, investigating the nature of the “I,” discovering that Truth of Pure Being, of Pure Consciousness that is the Nature of each one of us, it is the Truth of this psychophysical being and this is something that is outside this ego-identity limitation. So, this whole pattern of behavior, feeling, emotion, sensation, and perception undergoes a tremendous change when you realize the Truth of your Being. That is the real answer to all these human questions. So, we are together working on it, approaching it, looking at it, to a life free of the ego, a life free of the “I.” Some have called it the Awakening of Consciousness, Spiritual Enlightenment, others have called it God Realization.
So, the point here is that for this understanding to become possible, we have to always come back to this approach of the Truth about who we are, and this approach represents the understanding of suffering in us, fear in us, jealousy in us. Let me make this clearer for you. We want to get rid of it, but we are not willing to understand the Truth about who we are, and here I am saying that the understanding of this Truth about who we are necessarily requires us to understand how we function, how we are functioning. So, we have to examine, investigate, study this question of jealousy, this question of suffering, this question of fear in ourselves. So, what is this fear? What is this jealousy? What is this suffering? What is this here? We need to approach and take a closer look at this.
All jealousy is always linked to something else, so there’s an “I” and that other thing, and “I” am jealous of it. This jealousy is present because of attachment. Attachment is something present because of possession: “If this is mine, if I own this, I am attached to it and that is what I am jealous of”, then the relationship of this “I” with this object, from the “I” point of view that separates itself from the experience – listen to this – all are objects; “I” is the subject and all else are objects. From the “I” point of view the so-called “objects” are objects and people are also seen as something utilitarian for that “I”. Realize that.
So, there is always this possession, there is always this attachment, there is always this relationship in experience, a relationship that has this “I” as its principle, which is the one who experiences this object, who enjoys this object, who owns this object, who owns it and is jealous of it because he uses it, controls it and does not want anything else to touch it, nothing else to be involved in this relationship, in this sense of ownership, in this sense of control, in this sense of domination. So, we have the other thing present and this “I.”
So, the understanding of jealousy is the understanding of fear, because the process is the same. There is this “I” and what I am afraid of. There is a relationship in duality, in separation, there is a conflicting relationship because there is no real understanding of the truth of fear, jealousy; because I don't see the truth of this “I” separating itself to control, to try to escape the pain involved in this fear, to try to escape the pain involved in this attachment. This is suffering.
When we talk about attachment, jealousy, fear and suffering, we are talking about the “I.” The “I” is the foundation where all that sort of thing is established. So, investigating yourself, looking at yourself, observing the movement of the “I” separating in the object experience is the basis for liberation from this illusion of the “I”. I said this: separating yourself in the experience as the experiencer experiencing that; one separates oneself, and when one separates oneself, it produces conflict, it produces suffering, it produces attachment, it produces jealousy, that is the illusion of the ego.
All our relations with the external world, with people and also with thoughts, feelings, emotions are always within that same foundation, the foundation of separation. We never pay attention to that thing, we never observe that, we never look at that, we never get closer to see how we function when, for example, a thought is present. It’s just a thought, but we put a thinker who likes or dislikes thought.
When it’s a feeling, we put “someone"l to like or dislike that feeling. For an emotion it’s the same thing, if “I” like it, “I” identify with the emotion, if “I” don't like it, “I” reject it. That identification with the emotion is seeing yourself as an identity that is separate to appreciate emotion, to like emotion; when it doesn't like it, it separates to reject it, to fight against that emotion, then there is struggle, there is resistance and once again the ego asserts itself, reaffirms itself in the experience of separation and therefore of conflict. Are we together?
Investigating it, getting closer to it, looking at it, becoming aware of this “I,” is the end of that identity, it’s the end of that ego-identity, because that identity is centered as being a particular and one entity around which experiences are happening, and it sees itself as the center of all. So, we are together in these meetings working on the end for this “I,” the end for this illusion; and that determines the end for this condition of suffering, jealousy, fear, ambition, and envy. A free life in God is a life free from the “I,” that’s what I have called the Real Religious Life; it is not a life in spirituality, in esoteric practices, in mystical practices, a life attached to symbols, images, to all kinds of theories, beliefs and superstitions.
A Religious Life is a life naturally free of the “I,” free of the ego, where That which is present is the perfume of Love, is the fragrance of Love, the Beauty of Divine Grace, this is the awareness of God, this is the Revelation of Something unique, singular. That’s when in our relationships, there is indeed the perfume of Love, Tolerance, Patience, Compassion, and Intelligence. They are completely different relationships from those we know in the ego, because this self-centeredness does not exist, this egoic consciousness, this self-consciousness, this affirmation of a center within the experience of living does not exist.
This is our work here, this is our proposal here. Here on the channel, we have been talking about this contact with Meditation, with the Truth of Meditation, with correct Meditation, with True Meditation. In this Self-Awareness, in this acknowledgment of oneself here and now, in this experience without the “I”, without the experiencer, we have the clarity of the Awakening of Consciousness, of Real Consciousness, of Spiritual Enlightenment, of the Blossoming of God.
We have several playlists here on the channel talking about the Truth of Self-Awareness and about this True Meditation in a practical way, and several other playlists where we are deepening this. That’s when we approach, enter, enter this sea and seek deeper waters. This self-discovery is the most fascinating thing in this life, in this existence, the knowledge of the Truth of God.
So, if this is something that makes sense to you, I would like to invite you: here in the video description, there is our WhatsApp group for these weekend meetings; in addition to these online meetings, we have face-to-face meetings and retreats as well. OK? If this is something that makes sense to you, go ahead and leave your “like” and subscribe to the channel – maybe you haven't subscribed to the channel yet. Here’s the invitation and see you.
Thanks for the meeting and see you next time!
